Tilting her head to the side, as the other wasn't coming for her immediately, the girls red aura emanating from her armor and spear was still flourishing in the brightest color of red. It could best be described as if the girl was burning up within her own aura. Which considering the damage she had to take to grow to this level, wasn't extremely wrong. The other was spouting something about knowing her. About realising who she was, and what she was doing. That there was a misunderstanding. Spitting to the side, this almost sounded like some poor excuse to get off from finishing their fight. Had he gotten cold feet, scared perhaps? Then, he somewhat surprised her by his next sentences. A wager on the outcome of this fight? That poor man must've hit his head harder than Astra thought. After pounding him into the ground with her most powerful spell, seeing how unfit we was to continue this fight, how could he even hope to win their fight? "Ohoho, now this is more interesting! I've been waiting for a real challenge. For someone who would not yield at the first sign of losing! Even then, to think you'd go this far in your state... I gladly accept!.. Now, don't be sad, as I show you my real magic."
Everything around her stopped for a moment, as she started grasping at the air with her hands. Leading her hands towards her mouth, she seemingly started eating an invisible pie, swallowing multiple times while Shinzu was preparing his own spell. What Shinzu likely couldn't see, was that under her armor, the worst of her wounds closed themselves up. Not completely though, for she was going to unleash another spell onto him and drain the rest of her magical power. Taking a deep breath, he could practically see her chest swell with air, as she infused it with every ounce of magic that she had remaining. It wasn't much, and it certainly wasn't as powerful as she would've hoped. "Roar of the SKY GOD!" This surprise attack was done at the same time as Shinzu finished his enormous spell. Staring at him in disbelief as a lightning bolt struck his body, soon the entire guild was about to collapse. The thunder sliced through her wind like a katana. It wouldn't completely stop the wind from reaching Shinzu, but its power would be further diminished. Holding both her hands in front of her body, she was now relying on being able to tank this damage to stay on her feet. Such raw and undisputed power. The lightning was crackling around her, as she was slowly skidding backwards trying to deflect his attack. There was too much power for her to deflect it. It was going to hit...! Then it all ended an explosion. A light blue blast errupted from Astra, as a loud scream of pain left her lips. The blue light enveloped the entire guildhall, before silence followed.
A few short moments after, a metallic clank was heard as Astra, having been launched into the air from his spell, impacted onto the ground. The silverwhite hair was pointing in every direction, and she didn't appear to be concious. Lying there in absolute peace, it really did at first seem as if Shinzu had won. Then movement happened. An arm stretched forwards from her body, in an almost zombielike fashion. The fingers dug into the ground, pulling her forwards towards Shinzu. It was clear from her movements that her body was almost numb, that she was out of magical power, yet she was persisting. With every long winded drag, her soft and coughing laughter got louder and louder, as she got closer and closer. Then, through what seemed like sheer willpower alone, the girl got to her feet. Blood was dripping from the corner of her mouth. The Pressence of a Valkyrie was something that could inspire anyone, even herself, to continue where most others would've dropped. It was an invigorating wave that went through her body, temporarily removing the effects of his lightning so that she could move.
"..You'll.. fucking... pay...for that.." Walking up towards the downed guild master, she lifted her foot to stomp at his face. Though with how wounded and exhausted she was, the power she could put behind it was very limited. Knowing full well how her body worked, she had to inflict as much damage as she could before she collapsed. If Shinzu somehow managed to move, she'd have one single action left. Picking up the bladed staff, she'd gather all the remainder of her strenght and toss it at him uninhibited, as if it was a spear meant to skewer him. With how much damage had been inflicted onto both parties, just how awakened Loki's sting was, this was only her last resort to win, as she couldn't guarantee that the staff tossed at him wouldn't accidentally end his life. If Shinzu stayed down, she'd continue to kick him for a good twenty or so odd seconds. Either case, at the end of either the kicking or the staff toss, Astra's eyes would go blank and she'd fall backwards onto the ground, hitting her head and knocking herself out. The fight was over.
Skill Name: Eyes of the Heavens Description: As a Valkyrie, Astra has a natural aptitude at judging an opponents strenght and threat level. It allows her to judge wheter she stands a chance, or wheter she is outclassed completely. The eyes grant the same information about casted spells.
Skill Name: Eyes of the High Heavens Description: The Valkyrie are those chosen by the gods, who shall watch the battles of the mortals, judging the mortals as worthy or unworthy to enter the divine halls. It is through this knowledge, that Astra has gained an insane insight into combat, allowing her to react faster and make better decisions than an average person.
Skill Name: Heroic Presssence Desciption: Astra's pressence can be felt on the battlefield. Capable of inspiring herself or any chosen ally, the effects of poison, paralysis, sleep and fear can be temporarily ignored. Once the effect of Heroic Pressence fade, the entire backlash from any such effects are felt immediately. (Three turns before backlash kicks in)
Spell Name: Sky-God's Feast Level: A Range: Passive Description: This ability is what allows Astra to devour the element of wind. Any wind-based attack that is launched towards her is a potential meal. Upon eating wind, she restores her physical strenght. The healing and restoration depends on the amount of wind that she is allowed to eat. It can be channeled for up to three posts total. Drawback: This spell has a significant cooldown, depending on how much air Astra consumes. At base, it has a cooldown of at least five turns. A larger feast will increase the cooldown by two turns.
Spell Name: Sky-God's Roar Level: B Range: 15m Description: Taking in a huge breath of air, Astra infuses her own breath with a high amount of mana. Then upon breathing out, a violent torrent of wind shoots forth from her mouth. By holding up a hand to her own lips, she can either allow the blast to be in a cone where it deals moderate damage, or narrowing the blast to a smaller area at increased strenght. This attack also knocks back most projectile based attacks of the same rank. Drawback: This spell has a rather long cooldown, as roaring continuously would destroy her throat.

Shinzu wheezed as the intense light from his spell faded to reveal numerous gash wounds along his body. Particularly, his armour appeared to be somewhat unusable in this condition with strips of metal missing in what seemed to be reminiscent of a bear attack. “That was… Wind?” Shinzu was too frightened to say the words out loud. He was simply struggling far too much to maintain a controlled rhythm of breathing. Uttering a single word out loud felt as if it would strain his body too much and result in nothing more than a violent series of coughing noises.
As much as his body ached, Shinzu could at least take solace in the fact that his paralysed limbs would bring him no pain or discomfort despite the lacerations. There was simply the sensation of nothingness, as if his arms and legs were no longer attached to the rest of his body. “Where is she!?” Upon pulling his chin downwards in order to lift his head from the floor, the guild master would catch a glimpse of his downed opponent. “S-Success!” He smiled, though only for a moment. The expression would quickly change to grimace and disbelief as Astra began clawing her way forwards.
“Is she possessed!?” Unsure of what to make of the girl’s demeanour, Shinzu simply grit his teeth as he prepared to bite his opponent. However, before he could sink his teeth into her flesh, Astra would have already triumphantly rose from the ground like a phoenix renewing itself from the ashes of its defeat. “I-Impossible!” He stuttered, though not before he would begin coughing up small amounts of blood that would stain his otherwise pearly-white teeth. “She should be unconscious… And yet she is standing!? What witch craft is this?”Shinzu cringed as Astra declared her intentions. There was no longer any doubts in his mind, she possessed enough strength to continue the battle. “Come on…” Ordinarily, the guild master possessed what for the most part felt like an infinite well of energy. This time, however, all he could muster was a slight sliver of mana that would no doubt need to be rationed wisely over the next few moments. “Come closer!” As Astra approached, the guild master focused all of his mental energy into raising his left hand in order to cast one final spell that would blast the crazed Valkyrie away. As much as he tried, however, his limbs would simply betray him. They were no longer under his control.“S-Shit!” As Astra lifted her foot, Shinzu would simply shut his eyes out of fear of what was to come. At that moment, the guild master would simply vanish before Astra’s eyes as her foot came down and crashed into the floorboards with no real resistance to suggest that she had made contact with anything other than the ground. “R-Reika!” Shinzu grinned to himself as his eyes opened to reveal a twisted and distorted version of the guild. In actuality, he was still laying on the ground with Astra’s foot impaling his face. If anyone could see him, however, they would be able to take note of the fact that the foot actually appeared to be phasing right through his form as opposed to making any real physical contact. “I don’t know where she is… However… This makes Astra her only target. I just need to hold out until… She attacks Astra…” Shinzu could feel pressure on his chest, as if a gorilla was sitting on him. His breathing was laboured and his vision blurring. Whether or not Reika survived the explosion, the guild master could do little else but bet on Phantom Cloak to save the day as he stalled for time. “I can do this… I can wait this out…” Astra certainly did not appear as if she was going to go down any time soon after all. In fact, she seemed to strangely be doing quite well despite the paralysing effects of the lightning Shinzu was certain he imbued his earlier attack with. “I can do this…” However, despite the brave efforts and regardless of what he told himself, deep down the guild master knew that he was spent. What few droplets of his magical reserves that remained was going to dry up soon. Dangerously soon to the point where the deficiency in energy would simply knock him out cold.Skills:Weapon Mastery: This skill represents Shinzu’s unparalleled close combat prowess in the arena with polearms and similar weapons such as lances or spears. Not only does this extend to being able to wield such weapons in close combat with an impressive level of skill, but it also stands testament to Shinzu’s deadly precision when resorting to using his weapon as a makeshift javelin. Foes reliant on magic or their fists will be at a disadvantage when faced against such an assault unless they too are highly proficient in their choice of weaponry.
Resilience: Having taken part in countless battles which have often lead to many life threatening injuries, Shinzu has developed somewhat of a high and almost inhuman resilience against pain. With this also stemming from his will to live, Shinzu’s threshold against exhaustion and other limitations that may restrict others is absurdly high. While this does not make him any stronger or faster than most enemies, it does allow him to combat stress, adversity and life threatening scenarios to a higher degree than others through sheer willpower.
Heightened Senses: Life in the arena helped hone Shinzu’s senses to the point where his gift of hearing reached a level far above his peers. Although there is nothing supernatural about his ears, Shinzu can often pick out quite a high level of detail from a simple sound, such as being able to judge distance and the direction of the source much better than a normal person. This acute level of hearing also allows Shinzu to pick out sounds that may otherwise be inaudible, such as honing in on a whisper amidst a crowd or being able to audibly recognize subtle noises such as the rustle of a nearby bush. Items:Name: x2 Shadow Knife Level: A Description: A strange throwing knife that has been wrapped in a rugged white bandage. Mysteriously, despite the bandage covering the sharp edges of the blade, the throwing knife still functions as per normal and can be quite deadly in the right hands. Although no one has lived to be able to confirm this, it is said that if the intended target of the throwing knife moves after the weapon has left the wielders hands, the knife may shift its own direction and trajectory on its own once per throw at the cost of C-Rank mana. Price and Availability: 15,000 jewels. Shop only.
Name: Gae Bolg Level: A Description: Gae Bolg is a spear that possesses a length of 6 feet, making it rather average in length and able to be wielded rather easily with nothing more than a single hand. The entire weapon is tinted in a shade of crimson and most notably, the shaft bears numerous designs running along it that seem to resemble thornless vines. Gae Bolg’s main ability is to inflict heavy wounds to enemies who may come in contact with the weapon, whether indirect or not. This includes brushing clothing against the spear or even clashing blades against it, the act of which will result in the weapon lighting up in a strong red hue. The wound inflicted is quite dangerous, being on the same level as taking a direct hit from the blade of the spear itself. Due to this, the wound will appear in an explosion of gushing blood, although one thing to note is that the location always varies and is purely random. The wound itself also cannot penetrate bone and will never directly injure any vital organs. Mostly, this ability is used to slow down opponents and disable limbs as opposed to outright killing them. This ability is, however, limited to two charges at maximum. As soon as the ability is activated, Gae Bolg will lose a charge and go into a three post cool down. After which, the ability can only be activated one more time for the duration of the thread. Price and Availability: 20,000
Name: Kingslayer Level: A Description: A corrupt version of the Kingslayer armour that has been unblessed by at least three different tainted souls (apparently unblessing is a thing now). Kingslayer is similar to its counterpart, however, all of the gems that once adorned the armour have mysteriously vanished, leaving only craters and tiny dents in their wake. Now, the armour only appears to offer slight resistance against physical and magical attacks. The armour does, however, fill its wearer with a strange sensation of power once donned. Some say that once worn by the right individual, it can greatly increase the wearers physical and magical attacks. Price and Availability: 15,000 jewels. Shop only. Spells:Spell Name: Phantasm Embodiment Level: C Range: - Description: Through the mastery and understanding of the spirit realm, the user may eject himself from reality and slip into the astral plane. In this form, the user will be undetectable to anyone’s senses or sensory magic, at the cost of losing the ability to interact with the world around him. Drawback: Drains a constant level of mana for every post this is active. The user will still be vulnerable to magic in this state, making large area of effect attacks particularly dangerous even if he cannot be seen. The user will also be unable to use any form of magic or attack, let alone interact with anyone around him until the spell is undone. Sensory magic stronger than the rank of this spell can bypass its cloaking effects.

The wood underneath her stomp cracked strangely, as the girl had seemingly stomped nothing but thin air. The Valkyrie had seen him cast a spell, and she understood its purpose. To protect this little rat from her attacks, he had teleported away. No, he hadn't. The girl could still sense him there, could still sense a threathening pressence, although almost extinguished. So, this opponent was a coward, betting on the fact that she lacked magical power to finish him off then?! Slipping off into another world to hide himself from her onslaught!? Panting for air, she looked around furiously. From his earlier spell, the one where he accepted the thunder, he shouldn't be able to move. So if he was still there, but she couldn't see him, he was likely on the groudn where she had just stomped. The electricity had crackled through his own body as a medium, she had understood that much. So it ought to have affected him. Coughing, she was holding a hand in front of her face. Blood trickled from her lips, as she almost toppled over again, vision gone blurry. It was sheer willpower that kept her standing at this point. Willpower, and her own glorified pressence. "Coward! You said you would fight me, and now you flee?! Betting your own life on a fight only to leave?! COWARD! This guild you wanted me to join shall know of your pathetic weakness!"
Astra was clearly furious, as she removed the foot she had stomped into the ground from the broken pieces of wood. The clock was ticking, and she was running oput of time. Coughing again, a spittle of blood dripped onto the floor where Shinzu was hiding, creating a tiny pool. At this distance, he could see that the fabric she was wearing had, in some places, melted directly into her skin. How this woman was standing, and how much pain she must've been in, only the gods could tell. Staggering onto her weapon, holding it to keep her balance, she was standing over the spot where Shinzu went down like a hawk. The girl couldn't run or escape. There wasn't enough time. The only thing that she could bet on, was Shinzu either returning to this world and declaring his defeat, or him running out of magic power. In any other situation, she would simply lose strenght before him. While this cowardly behaviour certainly wouldn't count as a defeat in her world, she couldn't count it as a victory either. Standing there, panting, trying to remain concious, the world was constantly blurring more and more. Astra was almost out of time...

A grimace would begin to carve itself onto Shinzu’s face as realisation set in. Astra wasn’t moving. “S-She knows I am still here!?” The only explanation was some sort of sensory magic. However, that wasn’t even the end of the guild master’s problems. Whether it were to be considered a blessing or a curse, Reika was nowhere to be seen. The only assumptions that could be made at this point were either that she was incapable of attacking or worse, simply hiding somewhere and conserving her energy. Either way, Astra would have to be dealt with alone.
“If I lose… I must abandon Melo…” Suddenly, memories of the girl would flash before Shinzu’s eyes, giving him the courage to stand his ground. “One final attack!” He prepared himself, unsure of whether or not his body actually possessed the energy to carry out what he intended. However, before he could actually muster the strength, his flicker of hope would ignite into something much stronger. “Blood?” The guild master watched as blood trickled down his opponent’s lips as she struggled to balance herself.
At the point, Shinzu was certain that her previous strong demeanour was nothing more than an act. She was far more injured than she was letting on. “I can win!” Upon uttering the words in his mind, Shinzu would begin to feel woozy. The world around him was beginning to darken as his heavy eyelids began to shut. “Coward… Weakness…” Despite the inability to move his arms, the guild master would find his fingers twitching as they attempted to clench into a fist. The sudden surge of rage would, however, quickly fade away into calm as he bit into his lower lip.
“I can’t… I can’t fail Melo…” As much as Astra's mocking would open up old mental wounds, Shinzu knew that he couldn’t abandon his guild regardless of what little attachments he bore for it. Not while Melo was still there. “Coward or not, let us see who goes down first!” Shinzu’s voice would roar throughout the confines of the room. However, despite the fierce determination, the words would never reach Astra’s ears.
“Damn it…” Moments later, Shinzu’s vision would be so blurred that he would be unable to make out the expression on Astra’s face. He would simply see a metallic blur towering above his body. “She is waiting… to strike…” Against all the odds, the guild master pushed forwards as he poured all his energy into fuelling his spell and maintaining consciousness. Failing either would mean certain doom after all. “Da…mn… it…”
Despite the brave struggle, Shinzu's magical energy was now depleted. Although mentally he had the will to remain conscious, there was little he could do to prevent his body’s natural response against magical fatigue. “No..t… yet…” At that moment, Shinzu would appear before Astra just in time to shoot the air a defiant glare before his head would drop to the side. The struggle was now over, the guild master was knocked out cold.

Standing there with her bladestaff as the only leverage, she was coughing lowly. The metallic iron-like taste of blood that spread through her mouth was nauseating at this point. If the girl had been within a fierce battle, she wouldn't have even noticed. This here, a waiting game for who ran out of power first however, was an absolute horror. There was more blood following the first. Forcing a body to move through the damage that she had taken, and through the paralysis that would soon be her reality, wasn't something that came without a price. Whimpering slightly, her knees were trembling under her. Any moment now she was going to fall over. Any moment now that little rat of an asshole would succeed with his cowardice. Unforgiveable! Making a mockery of a Valkyrie by hiding like this! Insolence, absolute and utter insolence! Then, without a warning of any kind, the rat of a guildmaster soon appeared before her, on his face, looking up at her with complete and utter spite. The gaze was beautiful. This was what she had been longing t o see! The worm writhing in pain and agony as he knew he had lost. Triumphantly, she rose an arm into the air as if to indicate that she had won. It was a mistake. Taking half a step forwards, she almost stepped on the guildmaster. With the last strenght that she had left, she wanted to pin him in place so that he would still be there to accept his defeat when she woke up! Hammering the bladestaff down into the floor, she was intending to impale his right leg so fiercely that he couldn't simply leave when he woke up. A loud gherf followed as another spittle of blood was coughed up by her. The girls system was overloaded from the lightning, as she fell sideways in what felt like slowmotion. The girl could see the kitchen sink coming closer and closer. The girls fingers were moving, as she desperately tried to raise her arm to take some of the impact, but to no avail. Smashing her face into the steel sink, she fell sideways from there like a ragdoll, ending up on the floor with a broken and bloodied nose, and blood being coughed up even by her unconcious state. With how little she could currently breathe, and how wounded and damaged she was, Astra wasn't going to wake up for at least a day, and even when she did eventually wake up, she would likely still be paralysed. In her world, she had won this fight, as Shinzu for a few moments had been at her mercy. If she had been a murderer, that staff would've gone through his ribage... Unfortunately for her, she showed mercy. It likely meant that, with Shinzu definitely waking up first, he'd claim she had lost the fight.
