Kasumi moved around the Fairy Tail building, inspecting the area and making sure no other attacks would happen. Since the bar had been burnt down, Kasumi and the rest of Fairy Tail had been on edge as if readying themselves for the inevitable. Security had increased around the area and Kasumi in particular felt jumpy. It seemed that the quelling of DCD had increased activity for all the guilds, including Phantom Cloak and since the destruction of the bar, Kasumi wanted to introduce countermeasures to try and prevent such an even from happening again.
Moving towards the entrance, Kasumi halted as she saw someone at the door she'd never met before. To say his attire was odd would be an understatement, but she couldn't fairly say that she was one to judge. He didn't look aggressive or confrontational. If she wasn't mistaken, he looked a little starstruck. The sight alone was enough to set her heart at ease, albeit slightly. Doing her best to hide the stress she was feeling, Kasumi flitted over towards the man.
"Hello there!" Kasumi welcomed cheerfully, pulling off the airy smile she had practised before. "I don't believe that we have met. Are you looking to join the guild?" She held back mentioning she was the guildmaster. Moreso because a part of her was still slightly cautious and didn't plan on just throwing around the title all willy-nilly.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] My eyes drift around the guild hall searching, searching, searching. I can't seem to find my brother anywhere. He must be off on a mission or something like that because he normally spends his time in the guild hall. My amber hair falls over my shoulder today and down to my waist, hiding half of my face shyly away. I guess I should take a mission to go on, so that I won't bother my brother at all anymore. My magic is still really weak, but if I do enough missions I might get better I suppose. I drift towards the mission board slowly, it is one of the rare occasions I am here as I try to stay out of the way of most humans. I look at the mission board for a few minutes, scanning the choices, my eyes flowing up and down the board. Something about a thief in Clover, I think I might take that. Just before my small, pale hands are about to tear off the sheet of paper I hear Kasumi talking to someome who had just walked in. Were they a new member? Then I realized it was someone I had seen it before. Not in a while, but I had. I think he was actually a member and the guildmaster had gotten it wrong as unlikely as it could be. I slowly make my way towards Kasumi, trying not to draw any attention to myself. I haven't really met the guildmaster that much as with the other guild members. I tend to shy away from people, my feet walk silently towards her, and then I say in my soft voice to her, hoping I wasn't going to make a mistake in my thinking, " Um," I stutter out, cursing muself silently for stuttering, " I think he is actually a guild member already..." I start to back away slowly, embarrased now hoping that they actually didn't notice me. "I think it's safe to say that the breathing mask is no longer needed now that her lungs and body has a natural air circulation. It seems she's awake and stable, but that doesn't mean she's able to be discharged just yet." The sensation of the mask against her lips and mouth disappears with a quick click and the air around her changed. Inhaling the cold, refreshing air; Syana's green eyes slowly opened and she found herself gazing up towards the ceiling. With thin IV tubes attached to her left wrist which lay palm up towards the ceiling. "I can honestly tell you that it's a surprise the girl survived. Especially in the state that she was in; especially with the scarring and the strain her body had when she first came in her, but I think that's what happens with a Fairy Tail wizard." The voice continued from outside the door, seeming to get quieter and quieter.
Slowly sitting up, Syana's emotionless gaze focused on towards the blanket where her legs rested hidden beneath. Lifting her right hand to her chest, she felt for the thump of her heart as it pulsated in her chest. Her emerald orbs closed before she looked outside towards the window; relieved that the hospital room she was in gave a clear view of her new/old home. "Oh, you're awake?" Another nurse came in, surprised to see her sat there before looking side to side. "Well, now that you're awake.. Are you hungry?" No answer. The nurse sighed as she placed Syana's robes for the day on the edge of the bed and began to tidy up around the room. "Phew, that storm last night. Sure was heavy, huh?" Again no response. Turning to face Syana with a puzzled gaze, the Nurse's eyes met the girls and the two shared a silent exchange of words. "All right, then. How about this, Syana? If I were to let you visit your guild once every few days JUST as a fitness test and for a few minutes then maybe JUST MAYBE you can give me a smile in return. Sound good?" Relieved to see Syana nod her head slowly, the nurse began to help her put them on the girl and offer her hand so that Syana could stand up. Carefully placing her feet on the cold floor, Syana's body trembled as she tried to recollect her balance.
With a cloak draped over her and sealed around her body to conserve her warmth and her usual shoes to protect her feet, the two made their way out of the hospital as well as having to explain why Syana was out of her bed. Looking over her shoulder towards the hospital as it grew smaller and smaller the further they walked. Their footsteps in sync and the nurse watching her carefully in case she fainted, ensuring that she wouldn't fall. Pulling her hood over her head and shrouding her face in the usual darkness, Syana looked towards the nurse with the same usual expression that had lost the light it once hand. Her body felt heavy like stone and her magic was still trying to fix her body internally and externally. Her hair was still dishevelled and not coiffed. The mark on her collarbone hidden behind the cloak and dress. She walked in, leaving the nurse outside and the familiar smell and warmth of her beloved guild filled her body. Taking a slow intake of breath of air, she looked around to catch sight of Kasumi, an unfamiliar redhead and an unfamiliar man. Her green eyes flicked between all three before she stood there and looked over towards the bar; the smell of burnt wood causing her to curl her nose. She had heard about the bar being attacked. memories flashed through her mind and she tried her best to shove them to the back of her mind. No way was she going to let them haunt her, not yet anyway. She was here to meet her guild mates and she was here to relax and get stronger. The last time she was a member was three years ago. Her fingers tracing her robes and her eyes flickering between the three wizards Syana wondered just who the others were. Apparently a lot happens in the space of a week, let alone a whole three years. With her face hidden behind the darkness of the hood and her body coming off a bit suspicious, but, nonetheless she stood there silent and strong.

[/i] he was a member of the Guild. The duo had very quickly put it in fine print that Erik wasn't recognized despite being a member for the last few years. So the first thing he did was shoot a smile across the pair, first starting with the nervous girl before landing on the woman who asked if he planned to join. " I'm actually part of Fairy Tail, like that girl said. I have been for a long while... it's just getting back around to Magnolia isn't on the top of my list when the best ingredients are all over the country." Before he could introduce himself, however, the man's view shifted to someone else who had arrived. With a cloak wrapped around her, the third figure certainly wasn't like the other two. She seemed frail or perhaps just weak... but being a doctor wasn't Erik's profession! That was cooking, of course, and it had no ability to diagnose medical conditions. The smile turned into a frown, not intentionally, as his mind went to what could have happened to Fairy Tail. Specifically due to the fact that it was only now, with a clear and analytical mind, that he had taken into account the burned bar. Regardless, the man had to put on a strong face as he looked to the questioning woman once again. " Erik Blaze, though... that's my name. I was hoping I could maybe cook a feast up with my haul from the last stretch of traveling... but you guys seem to have a bad cook. The bar is burned down, after all..." Of course he had no clue of what had happened, his travels keeping him out of the informed routes of the world. But the mage looked up to his frying pan for a moment to think... finally lowering the staff and giving the pan a soft tap. While he didn't technically need a stove, it certainly wouldn't be a very big meal if all he could cook with while back at the Guild Hall was his frying pan. If he had one of the massive frying pans, perhaps he could do something amazing... but such things were too expensive for a cook on the road.[/ul]

Upon Zuzuki's arrival, she gave her a quick wave and short smile. She seemed nervous about something and once she heard what she said, the smile quickly turned to a cringe of embarrassment as both of them informed her that he actually already was a member of the guild. He probably had his mark somewhere hidden, leaving Kasumi in a somewhat awkward scenario.
"Oh, I apologize!" She quickly spurted out, bowing slightly. She mentally chastised herself for not recognizing the man. After all, she was the guildmaster. Kasumi's mind had been on overdrive with all of the events that had occurred and it felt like she had no time to stop. Looking between Zuzuki and Erik, she brushed some hair out of her eyes.
"Well then Erik, my name is Kasumi Ito. Since Marika has disappeared, I've become the new guildmaster of Fairy Tail." Saying the words aloud still felt foreign in her mouth. Looking over towards the bar, Kasumi grimaced sadly, memories of it burning down still strong in her mind.
"That wasn't a cook. That was Phantom Cloak." Kasumi stated bluntly. "Their activity has increased since the outbreak of DCD ended in South Fiore. Hopefully, they won't attack again, but we still need to keep our guard up. They have a habit of preying on guilds."
Her eyes quickly scanned the horizon and they quickly fell upon a shady figure a short distance away. Kasumi looked confrontational, thinking that the person was a possible member of Phantom Cloak. As she investigated the figure more however, she quickly took on a look of concern. Moving towards the figure, her suspicions were confirmed when she saw Syana's face hidden underneath the hood.
"Syana! What are you doing here?" Kasumi yelled worriedly, reaching her friend. "Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital? Your wounds can't have healed in just a week." Kasumi had to admit, she was stronger than she expected someone in her position would be. When she first found her injured, there was a part of her that wondered if she was still alive. It set her heart at ease that she looked like she was able to make a full recovery. Kasumi wondered if it was her magic at work. It would explain why she was relatively strong.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] My face was still red with embarrasment from talking. It was only a few worfs but it felt like an entire speech to her. I was releived ehen he did turn out to be a guild member. On one of the occasions when my brother had taken me here I thought I had seen him. My face that is naturally pale is as red as usual, which is a dark shade. This just happens when I'm in the company of people. I just stand there, feeling awkward, my hands laced together behind my back, my left hand's fingers brushing against the fairy tail mark on my right hand. I see Kasumi start with excitement, and I wonder what was going on. Then I notice her, I don't recognize her at first but I think it is Syana, she was known around town as a peppy waitress person but I saw her once or twice with my brother and he told me she is really strong. I don't really know her all that well but I thought she was supposed to be in the hospital after being attacked by Phantom Cloak members or something like that. I just stand silently, for a moment I examine the man who walked in. He seemed to be a bit older than me, but for me its hard to tell, you know, with all the not being around humans stuff. I feel even more awkward as Kasumi ran off towards Syana, and I am left next to the man. My face turns even redder in embarresment as I don't know what to say, and I am just stuck standing there feeling like an idiot. It seems like all the attention had drawn onto her when she entered. She stood there with her hands underneath her cloak, tracing her robes. She found herself looking towards the ceiling and around, half expecting to see shadows slithering about. Knowing her significant other, he'd be hiding about and ensuring her safety. "Erik Blaze, though... that's my name. I was hoping I could maybe cook a feast up with my haul from the last stretch of traveling... but you guys seem to have a bad cook. The bar is burned down, after all..." The man introduced himself as Erik. The idea of food seemed to make Syana feel slightly nauseated. Not like she had really eaten anything. Her gaze looked towards the burnt down bar. Was this a joke or was he just unaware of the dark guild? Syana said nothing, but sighed.
Syana's green eyes focused on Kasumi as she made her way over towards Syana. "Syana! What are you doing here?" Her friend cried out in worry. Syana's gaze shifted to the side beneath the hood, facing the fabric that aligned her cheeks. "Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital? Your wounds can't have healed in just a week." That was true, but Syana felt much stronger. She could see in colour and not in crimson.
With her hand pressing to her stomach, she traced her fingers over the area the dagger was inserted and closed her eyes as the phantom pain sliced her stomach just at the memory. Syana moved her hand forward and summoned her staff, using it to help her walk down into the hall passing the three. Sitting heavily down on a chair she placed her staff down against the side of the table and pulled her hood down to reveal her dishevelled hair. Running her fingers over the uneven hairdo, she closed her eyes and exhaled.
True, her magic had been a great help in her recovery. In fact it seemed to be curing all her ailments whenever it was regenerated. Syana's fingers lifted up to her cloak button and she played with it, letting the cloak separate either side of her arms and fall onto the seat surrounding her. "Kasumi," She breathed. "It's so boring there... I'd rather be here." Her nurse walked in soon after, taking notice of all three of the members with a dip of the head before making her way over to the injured girl.
"It's okay, Syana," She cooed while placing the cloak back on her. "We'll be out of your --" With a clear of her throat, "hair soon enough, Syana just needs to stretch her legs and get her muscles used to moving again. She'll be out of the hospital in the next two weeks. We're all surprised by how quickly she has recovered. Just three days ago she did require a breathing mask just to even get airflow into her."

[/font]" Tears were at his eyes toward the end, mimicking those of someone worried for their friends... but the truth was that his tears were for the bar's stock. Alcohols were both a good addition to meals as well as useful ingredients at times... and they had no doubt lost plenty with the destruction of it. Fairy Tail was the traveling cook's home... and if it was in need, then he'd cook up a meal that would have all of Magnolia pitching in to get the bar rebuilt and the Guild back on its feet. Mind made up, Erik reached back to grab the bag on his waist, pulling it around the side and to the front of his body before opening it wide. The scents of herbs and spices filled the air and the sight of sealed meats and various other edible dainties could be seen as the cook sat down on the table. With one hand unpacking his bag's food, the other was angling the staff through the crook of one leg. Sitting crosslegged allowed him to slide the staff all the way until the frying pan was right in his lap. " I'll make food that practically heals the body and soul! And when I'm done, we can go and... and... gather more food for me to cook!" Moving his free hand under the pan and opening the palm, the man formed a small flame that audibly crackled underneath the pan. Unlike in combat, sitting still like this allowed him to manage fire without fear of burning himself. The other hand immediately began placing the ingredients all around him... and it seemed like there was so much that the entire table had filled up from the emptying of the bag. The absurd difference in items to the pack's betraying size was one thing... but it didn't matter as his other hand moved to his chin in thought. While he was eager to cook and hoping to help, tears still fresh on his face, Erik hadn't thought of what to make with all his ingredients...[/ul]

Kasumi looked on with concern as Syana looked to be in pain. She wasn't 100% sure what she was supposed to do. Did the hospital know she was here? She kept a close eye on her friend as she made her way towards a chair. Her hair did little to ease Kasumi's worries and a pang of guilt shot through her system as she felt she could've done more to kept her safe.
Seeing that there actually was a nurse there soothed the anxieties that she had about Syana walking through Magnolia on her own. After explaining the situation, Kasumi smiled gratefully at the lady. She was thankful that Magnolia had the people to look after her and from the sounds of it, she would make a quick recovery.
"That's relieving to hear." Kasumi informed the nurse, nodding her head. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was her magic at work. She's a very accomplished healer, so I cannot say I'm too surprised. Nonetheless, hearing it from a professional's ears is always nice."
It was at that point that Erik decided to go a little crazy on her. Maybe it was the information about Phantom Cloak that caused him to act that way, but hearing his little speech made her chuckle happily. At least he was passionate, if nothing else. Kasumi was going to offer to find a kitchen for him to cook, but apparently he didn't need one.
"I know you want to cook for us, but can you at least reassure me that you aren't going to accidentally burn the guild down in the process?" Kasumi asked, slightly in jest. The last thing she needed to deal with was a guild member accidentally burning down the building. Sighing to herself, she turned her attention towards Zuzuki.
"Are you ok? You seem to be pretty quiet." Kasumi felt that she should make herself more familiar with her guild members. After all, it was now part of her job. "You looking to take part in a mission? We could use all the help we can get."

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] Syana had only just come in when a nurse cam rushing in after her. I guess she needs to be accomponied from the Hospital. I'm still not entirely sure what happened. I watched as Kasumi explained to the nurse what a good healer was, but then I almost jumped in startlement like a cat when there is a thunderclap. I turn around to see two feet rested firmly across a tabletop nearby and was proclaiming that he was going to make a feast. I noted the tears staining the corner's of his eyes. Was he crying. Then a thought crossed through my mind, Maybe he's just plain old insane. I sigh and shake my head. I turn my head as Kasumi responds to him, asking if he will not burn down the guild hall. An image flashed through my mind of everyone trapped in a burning guild hall while Erik was whistling and flipping pancakes. I then hear a voice seeming to be directed at me. It is Kasumi. I start to feel nervous again. " Um, yeah. I'm ok." I stutter out nervously with a small smile. " I would like to help. I was just looking at the mission board... I'm not sure what to do though." I smile again, my small nervous smile I use when trying my hardest not be shy and am using my best attempt to get rid of my quiet voice for once. "That's relieving to hear. I wouldn't be surprised if it was her magic at work. She's a very accomplished healer, so I cannot say I'm too surprised. Nonetheless, hearing it from a professional's ears is always nice." Kasumi spoke to the nurse who just nodded her head in reply and sat down next to Syana. "She'll be out and doing missions before you know it."
She could feel Kasumi's gaze on her and Syana said nothing to it. With her nursemaid standing over her, Syana yawned sleepily. "I had no idea such things would happen while I was on the road... and surely everyone must be hungry... so in exchange for being so uninformed, I will cook everyone a five star feast! I'll use everything in my power and anything we got... i-in memory of all the lost ingredients... and the... d-damage done!" The only man in the building chanted with an interesting expression which seemed to be a mixture of sadness and happiness. Syana's green eyes watched him with confusion, trying to understand his approach. "I know you want to cook for us, but can you at least reassure me that you aren't going to accidentally burn the guild down in the process?" Kasumi joked and Syana's eyes focused on the burnt down part of the building. Pulling the hood up over her head, she lifted her gaze upwards to examine the ceiling, her eyes following the architectural structure.
"I'll make food that practically heals the body and soul! And when I'm done, we can go and... and... gather more food for me to cook!" Syana's attention moved from admiring the structure of the building to the boy as he spoke. She listened to him carefully and watched his magic begin as he summoned food and began to cook. The sight was a rare one from Syana. Sure, her work often led her to taking sweets out from the kitchen to the customers who wanted to have fresh ones so she would always enjoy the sight of the sweet treats being made by both magic and by hand.
The smell of food wafted through the air and Sya couldn't help but ignore the sensation of hunger that licked at the inside of her stomach. Sure, she had been gingerly eating small pieces of hospital food, but the ideal of real food didn't settle well with her stomach. Not with the fact that just less than a week ago she had been stabbed in the stomach. Her magic was taking its sweet time to heal her and she hoped she'd be a lot stronger after this. With her green eyes shifting upward towards the ceiling once more, she let her thoughts wander around aimlessly.

The teen viewed the guild with a rather sour, annoyed looked as he stopped his shuffle. His distance kept a first, finally he had been initiated into the guild and such. The deal was set, and the proper people are aware of the deal he has with the Mayor. A probation to be on his best behaviour while being in an official guild. Pushing his tongue against his teeth, his palms push on the door as he made a quiet entrance. Immediately he tensed up as an eerie stare is casts off to the nearest people. A pleasant smell peaks his interest, followed by the smell of smouldering wood, and plastic due to a certain loss.
Perhaps clean up was ensure for later, but it was not his problem. His feet picked up into a slow amble. Momoe seemed intent on distancing himself from everybody as he did a pass by the Mission Board, plastered with numbers of rewards. Each step made a jingle mocking a knell sound at his side.
The Wizard soon took up a seat at the loneliness table he could find, crossing one leg over the other as he scooted in, and laid his elbows on the table. A fine eye kept on the group, watching like a curious cat with a furious glint to it!.

TO S E R V E AND P R O T E C T # words
All eyes had fallen on him briefly, Erik had felt them, but the man had continued cooking away even as words of warning were tossed his way. They had been a joke in intent, but the idea that he'd burn the food or even the place down had made the mage's flame briefly dim in his palm. Not only had the Guild been attacked without his knowledge, but they had people who sincerely thought he'd risk burning the place down like some mediocre street cook? The flame returned to its level as Erik's gaze dropped slightly in thought.
The Guild being like this... damaged and with everyone being so unsure... this isn't what he told me about so long ago...
The silence was ended only as the girl speaking with the supposed new Guild Master, the pair mentioning missions and working to help the place out. Quietly reaching toward a tray among his tools and sitting it on his knee while letting the pan simmer with the ingredients to cook the vegetable dish properly, Erik at last looked back toward the pair without even noticing the new arrival yet.
"If you're going to go work for the Guild... allow me to help as well. I'll cook a good meal for all of us first, but... I'd probably be of more use and less... "risk" if I were to aid in gathering funds for the Guild..."
Regardless of if she wanted to go with him, it was quite likely that the man would set to work after this. Turning his gaze toward the pan, glancing at both the new arrival and Syana again briefly, the cook's look kept the "down" atmosphere about it. The tears from before were fading with the heat, but his attitude was certainly taking a quick beating since arriving. Erik was a man who generally didn't let himself get like this... but his abilities as a cook had been teased and the Guild that he had owed for teaching him magic had been attacked. The only way he was going to be able to help the Guild out was by doing cooking drives, missions, or just not risking burning the place down... right?

Momoe appeared to be surveying the area with a signature nonchalant look. His eyes soon were on the travelling chef, curiously. Not being here, he had no a clue who this person was ... or who anyone here was really. And, they did not seem intent on finding out any time soon. The aroma of fresh culinary masterpieces made him gulp, unable to swallow his pride of being alone made the wizard come to a stand. He'd soon amble with a more curious face on him as made way to where he was. He learned pretty fast he was a chef through the grape vine, and chatter of his dishes.
By the dusty look on him, and his rather tiny frame that made him look unhealthy by the way he was overweight. He'd slowly grasp at his own forearm, as he parted his lips to speak. "Do you perhaps ... Have any food? I couldn't pay for it now. But, I could pay for it in the future." the poor boy murmured in a low tone, a sure thing of denoting how meek he was with his request. After his request, he lowered his head in shame, his face knowing it was a farfetched request.
