The young girl felt every step she took, how long had she been walking with no end in sight? She noticed her dirty blonde hair float over her eyes, sweat dripping from it down her pale body, her deep blue eyes as dark as the sea felt a laziness that made her want to shut them and fall down onto the hard rock and grass. It seemed like such a long journey from where she had began. She had made little or no progress either, she no longer knew where she was, or even if it mattered anymore. Did she really think finding her home would make her remember? What if she just had no memories or was making it all up. Maybe she isn't real, or so the thoughts trailed in her mind. Was she human? What's human?
She really wanted to make it stop, but somehow it made her feel better. As if questioning her existence at this point was the only way to prove to herself that there was one to be questioned. She hadn't slept in seemingly days. She wasn't sure but she vaguely remembered falling asleep while walking. She sighed, it was dumb moves on her part like that, that caused her to lose the only map she had.
Eventually she noticed the sun was setting, and soon she came to what seemed to be a small lake bed. She smiled, maybe this was a good place to stop and reconsider her position. There was a town in the distance, she might be able to obtain some form of direction or help there. She slowly sat her body down and slid her feet into the water, letting the dirt and grime on her legs slowly fade off her body. She considered jumping into it but for now she just looked up at the clouds and smiled. She wondered if things would ever get better for her...

Riley was in the process of storing magic inside a lacrima crystal when Atlas appeared outside her window, hooting at her to let him in. Placing the crystal back in its home, she opened the double windows, allowing him to flap his way into the room and circle around before settling on her shoulder facing the water. Still, he seemed discontent as he released another, eerier sounding hoot and stared intently off into the distance.
"You're an owl, not a guard dog." She chuckled, raising a hand to tickle at his chest feathers. Rather than accept the gesture of affection, his beak nipped her finger and he seemed to leer at her. There really wasn't anything worse than a cranky Atlas, so she chuckled, giving into him. "Ow, okay, okay. I'll go see what it is." She assured, and no sooner had the words left her mouth than he flew off again in the direction that he wished her to travel.
By the time that she had weaved her way to that position, she spied the barn owl nestled in a tree, watching a girl that was a ways down the shore, seeming to be resting her feet in the cool lake water. Taking a moment to size up the girl, who looked like she had seen better days, Riley began her slow approach from the side, allowing the girl to see her from a distance rather just popping up alongside her.
Water licked at her boots as she walked, making a soft splashing sound as she finally spoke up. "Hello there. Lovely evening, isn't it?" Giving a soft wave of her hand, she slowed her approach to gauge the girl's response to her sudden appearance.

The young woman had been in a peaceful bliss, her toes slowly moving back and forth in the cool water. The air felt crisp and gave her a sense of relief as she breathed deeply. She smiled, something that had been rare to her. She felt herself drawing shapes with her hand, though she didn't pay any attention to what they were or if they had any meaning. She wondered if maybe she died and walking this plane, cursed was her eternal punishment? She wasn't sure why but her entire body froze as she heard a voice. It seemed to be that of another woman. She started to visibility shake as she looked over and noticed the woman.
Her mind wasn't sure why, she could feel the woman's aura, she knew that the woman was a powerful mage. But it wasn't just her aura, her voice, as she moved closer she felt her arm twitching as her arm suddenly turned into that of a demon's arm, it wasn't familiar to her, larger than her body and red it moved on it's own as it tried to pull Ava's body closer to the woman, as if it wanted desperately to fight this powerful sorcerer. Suddenly a screeching pain as her palm opened and a mouth appeared, the demon was so eager it make a mouth!? What kind of monster was inside her? "You cannot escape Riley." Her eyes widened and eventually she decided the only the she could do to save her own life was to suppressed her arm with force as she pulled her sword out and stabbed at her own arm, it pushed the young blonde woman to the ground gripping her head as if to crush Ava, but before that it suddenly vanished. All of this took place so quickly yet it felt like it would never end for the poor girl.
The girls hair folded in front of her face as tears streamed down her neck. Besides tears was some of the girl's blood pooling from the arm wound. She felt herself fading as she passed out, she smiled. Why? Was she happy to have saved herself or to save this woman? She wasn't sure of anything anymore.

As soon as the girl heard her voice Riley realized she had perhaps made a mistake in bothering the blonde, who seemed to reply to her greeting by using some sort of takeover magic that spawned a hellish looking arm that reminded her of unpleasant places. Tensing as it started to drag the girl towards her, she rose a hand, intent on stopping a fight before it started - though the girl managed to accomplish that much on her own with a rather gruesome gesture that involved stabbing into her own arm. In a strange turn of events, the arm turned on the girl's body, attempting to crush her skull, before vanishing, leaving Riley bewildered as she tried to wrap her mind around what exactly had happened. She had watched the entire scene unfold and yet she had no idea what had spawned such a violent reaction or why the girl, or her arm in particular, seemed to have it out for her.
These thoughts were pushed astray as her eyes settled on the injured girl who was quickly losing consciousness. Hurrying to the girl's side she caught a glimpse of the teary eyed smile before the blonde passed out, a mysterious gesture that confused her all the more. She could only guess that the blonde was happy that she had managed to stop her troublesome arm for attacking someone.
Crouching alongside her, Riley exhaled raggedly. "Sorry..." She somberly murmured. Pushing some blonde hair from the girl's face, she examined the wounded arm before gingerly hoisting the girl into her arms with the aid of her magic and bringing herself to her full height.
Unsure of how severely she might have messed up her arm, which had seemingly tried to kill both of them, Riley's body was engulfed in yellow light as she cast her Stellar Body spell, allowing her to fly back to the guild in no time at all so that she might find a doctor to attend to the wounded girl's needs.

The sounds of footsteps could be heard as the young girl opened her eyes, she was surrounded by green grass, she smiled and noticed various people walking around her. She looked down and noticed her body was smaller and her hair even seemed to be a different color. On her hand was a pink... what was it? She couldn't put words to the shape. She smiled as she saw various animals and her friends walking around. Behind them a building with words on it, she couldn't read it . She felt happy but slowly it all started to turn into dust and suddenly she was in blackness as she really was. She walked for what seemed like hours until she eventually came to a pool of water and looked into it, her reflection was that of a monstrous demon, black with snakes covering her body. She seemed far older than Ava remembered being.
How old am I? Who am I? Suddenly the reflection started talking to her, "Does that matter? You are a sin. That is all you need to know. Just bathe in the blood of those weaker than you." Ava turned away from the pool and looked at her hands, covered in snakes, she jumped and threw them off into the water, watching them slither back from where they came. She started to scream but nothing came out. Suddenly she jumped and noticed she was now in a bed. She didn't recognize the surroundings. Her arm hurt, it seemed as if bandages covered it, and what little she had on her was now on a small table. She tried to move but fell back onto the bed, she sighed to herself and wondered if there was any difference between dreaming and living anymore. She shook her head as it rested on a very soft pillow. She needed to try and move forward from the darkness or she would sink into it... was that what her dream was telling her?

Thumbing through the pages of an old text, Riley's green eyes were half lidded as she stared down at the stained pages. The tome had a great deal of knowledge within its' bindings, and though most of it was terribly outdated there were some interesting morsels for her to pick at. She was lost in the dusty, musty smelling pages when she heard the creak of a bed nearby, causing her to raise her head. Perched on a chair just outside the infirmary, she had been waiting for the little spitfire to wake, just in case her arm decided to go haywire again. She didn't yet have many people occupying the castle but she would rather avoid letting any of them come to harm, particularly so early in the game. It wouldn't exactly leave the best impression on anyone that was thinking about joining.
Quietly closing the book, she tucked it under her arm as she got to her feet. The room was quiet once more, so the girl might have just moved in her sleep, but she still wasn't sure if she should peek in. Given how poor of a reaction she had gotten last time, she wondered if she shouldn't leave the girl to someone else.
She really didn't want to, though. Riley had always been motherly by nature and as such wanted to do whatever she could to help the girl. Still, she wasn't sure if her presence was entirely welcome, or even if it would help. Even if the arm didn't react to her this time, seeing her might upset the blonde.
Debating a moment, she rose a hand, knocking on the door frame. "It's Riley. May I come in?" She called, remaining out of sight as her arm dropped back to her side.

The young girl was curious where she was, it seemed like some sort of castle. Given the air it seemed she was above ground floor as well. It must be the woman's home, was she some sort of royalty? She was powerful, she had no idea how these things worked. She yawned but suddenly the knocked caused her to feel a sense of dread, would her powers go out of control once more? She looked at her arm, gripping the sheets in fear. However after a few moments she realized that there wasn't even a stirring in her heart. What was that before? A horrible random fluke or was it some kind of warning to the woman that she had just met. Her name it was Riley Aquila right? She didn't realize she had known the woman's last name without hearing it before. She simply assumed it was knowledge that that demon may have passed.
She did however have to answer the door, being unable to simply call out to the woman she moved slowly out of the bed and took some staggering steps to the door, as she did she almost tripped. She wasn't sure why but she seemed a bit dizzy, as she opened the door and looked up at the woman she felt a sense of calm wash over her and without really knowing why she embraced the woman in a hug. She felt somehow like the woman was nice. She slowly backed away and opened her mouth and shook her head, only being able to make a very small sheepish sound from her mouth. She moved over to the bed and sat down, looking out towards the window. She had so many questions that she wasn't able to ask at the moment. She hoped that things would stay calm, her powers seemed to rule her, she needed to learn to control them. She wouldn't allow it to try and hurt other people anymore.

[Sorry for delay. Been super worn out lately. u.u]
The blonde haired girl continued to surprise Riley as she threw her arms around her in a hug, causing her to momentarily seize up slightly in shock. Fingers twitching, she rose a hand, managing to give the girl a soft pat on the head before she drew away, opening her mouth and shaking her head, a small sound coming out but nothing else. Her mind already racing, Riley put the pieces together fairly quickly.
"You can't speak?" The question was more or less rhetoric, though she did recall a voice calling out to her back on the lake shore. Ignoring the odd incident for the time being, she pondered how to deal with the girl. Her being mute did make communicating a bit difficult.
First things first, the girl probably had a lot on her mind and no means to ask anything. Making her way into the room and towards the bedside table, Riley cast a glance at the calm looking girl as she opened a drawer, beginning to fish through the contents. "When you passed out, I brought you back to my guild, Griffin Wing." She explained, pulling out a pen. "How's your arm? You seem to be able to use it still, at least." Finding a pad of paper, she offered both to the girl as she sat herself on the edge of the bed.
"Can you write? I'd like to know what I should call you." Riley quietly asked, her voice soft, slightly more motherly than usual.

Griffin Wing... The young girl was sure she had heard of that before, but she wasn't sure how. She looked down at her feet while Riley was searching for something quickly. She smiled and took the pen and paper, she made a small yawn before she nodded to assure the woman that she could write. Which was partly true, she only knew a little bit. She felt so useless around others due to her condition, and maybe part of her frustration was the inability to know if she had always been like this or not. She started to write, she was glad the name given to her by granny was so short and easy.
"AvA. I am ok. Sorry about trouble. no memory." Even that took her a few minutes to write and it was clear by her handwriting that she wasn't very skilled. She sighed as she showed the pad of paper to Riley. The guild of Griffin Wing, it felt like a place she should know well, but she was sure it wasn't the guild she had been at before, it felt different? Maybe this was however a good place to stay. She doubted that she'd even be allowed to sleep here much longer given her demonic outburst before. She was use to being treated like a monster because of her magic, or really her curse. She faked a small smile as she looked up at the woman's somewhat short black hair. She not only had a strong aura but something in Riley's eyes made Ava feel like the woman had been through a lot, maybe even more than herself. She decided that this woman, Miss Riley was probably best fit to answer a question that had been weighing her heart down
"Will demons inside me kill me?" She wrote on the piece of paper, her hands shaking a little bit as she showed the question to her.
