While Syana was praying, she felt a warm sensation caress her cheek. Pretending to not notice it, she continued to keep her hands clasped together and pray. Thank you for also helping Maddox muster up the courage to show this place. Moving her hands apart, she looked towards Maddox as he spoke, "I am glad you enjoyed it." His voice was soft and light to the ears, Syana nodded her head and she watched his hand leave her cheek. "Of course I enjoyed it," Syana piped up, saddened by the change in temperature against her cheek. "It's a magnificent sight. It was a beautiful sensation... It's like a moon pool..." Moon pool... Syana's eyes closed and she wondered, standing up carefully.
Moving over towards the water which the moon reflected off, she dipped her fingers in and watched it ripple. The water seemed very similar to silver gel, a bright reflection that she couldn't stop gazing at in awe. She lifted her fingers from the water, half-expecting to see a thick silver-like texture drip from her hand but all she got was droplets of water which seemed to dance as they hit the water. Syana's eyes closed and she inhaled the sweet scent, beginning to feel really rejuvenated and not so exhausted or tired any more.
Looking towards Maddox, she followed his gaze towards the stars and then moved to sit beside him with her eyes fixated on the sky above. Her lips curled up into a smile and she enjoyed the sensation of the wind blow and rifle through her hair once more. She soon enough felt Maddox's gaze on her and she turned to face him too, laying on her stomach and looking towards him with her cheek pressed to her arm and her sleeve almost covering her face. She watched Maddox and nodded her head slowly to herself. "Maddox..." She trailed off for a few seconds, selectively choosing her words. "About earlier... I'm sorry. It's not that I didn't want to, but I just didn't know what to do or what I felt; it's hard to explain but," taking a slow, deep breath. "I'd love to."

A half lidded green eye followed Syana intently as she lay alongside him on the blanket, prompting him to roll onto his side, propping his elbow on the ground and his head in his hand as his lanky form made itself comfortable on the blanket. "Mn?" He asked as she called his name. When she continued his heart seemed to simultaneously beat harder and stop, forming an odd sensation of nervousness in the pit of his stomach that had his mouth suddenly feeling dry and hands feeling cold, a little clammy. A far stretch from his usual stoic self, but Syana always had brought long dead emotions to life. By the time she had finished he was staring like an idiot and blinking rapidly. Swallowing, he managed to pull himself together. "You... wish to be my girlfriend?" He slowly asked, wanting to make sure that he fully understood what she meant.
The last thing he wanted to do was to get his hopes up and be let down by a misunderstanding.

((Listening to this as I post, whut))Sya found herself led on her stomach with her gaze focused on Maddox. Seconds seemed to pass as she was thinking about what to say. As each second ticked by, Syana finally mustered up the words she wanted to say; painting them like a picture in her mind while Maddox turned to face her. As she spoke out slowly, she found it hard to read his expression. Was she entirely sure on this? No. Is it something she wanted to explore? Yes. With her words leaving her lips in careful sentences, her eyes not once left Maddox's gaze. What would Kasumi think? What would Syo think? Her boss? Speaking of her boss, she'd need to let him know she'd be in one day soon. She was taking advantage of his respect for her, that was for sure.
"You... wish to be my girlfriend?" Was he doubting her words? Were those words of disbelief or surprise? Syana found herself unsure what to say for a few more seconds. Her eyes focused on him, face stern. Was that what she truly wanted? Syo's face plastered itself in the back of her mind. She had only been reunited for Maddox for maybe a little under a week, but the two had known each other for so long. His feelings for her hadn't faltered after three years and yet Syo abandoned her and left her alone in this world. He had destroyed their home without a word. He went off to journey and train while she explored her homestead and Onibas. 'Revenge,' a female voice as soft as silk echoed throughout her mind. 'Avenge your hurt,' the voice echoed and Syana closed her eyes. If she were to answer, it wouldn't be out of revenge. Opening her eyes, she examined Maddox and nodded her head slowly. Her heart racing in her chest while butterflies frolicked in the pit of her stomach. "It's okay to be infatuated." Telling herself this, Syana slowly rolled over onto her side and watched Maddox. "He has always been there for me.... Always." With those words said, Syana finally decided she was sure of the fact she wanted to say yes. "I do."

Fear flooded through Maddox as Syana fell into silence, making him think that he had either misunderstood her or she was reconsidering her words. Watching her tentatively, her face uncharacteristically stern, he was pretty sure that he had in fact misunderstood her and that she was going to set him straight...
Miraculously, she confirmed that she really did want to be his girlfriend and he basically lost all control of himself.
"Syana, I-!" His voice cut off as he realized he had no idea what he wanted or needed to say. While his expression was usually neutral or a gentle smile he had broken into a full on grin that practically spread from ear to ear, betraying the emotions that he had gotten so good at stifling.
"Syana." He whispered the words again, biting softly on his lower lip as he crawled closer to her, towering over her as she lay there on the blanket. It took everything in him not to pounce on top of her, but with a ragged exhale he managed to calm himself. Laying next to her, his much larger form facing her own, he found he was without words. There wasn't anything he could say that would explain to her how happy he was, so he did the only other thing he could thing to do.
Bringing his large hand to her cheek, his pinky under her chin to lift it slightly, he drew her into a kiss - something he had been longing to do for over three years.

((Listening to this as I post, whut))Was what she was thinking wrong? Syana's green eyes watched Maddox carefully who waited on edge, but from what Syana recalled - he was always there for her, he hadn't left her alone when they reunited; he protected her and cared for her. Syana nodded her head slowly and confirmed her decision. It seemed that Maddox was over the moon, albeit, his reaction was mostly hidden. "Syana, I-!" Maddox seemed speechless. She watched him with curiosity - how would he respond? Syana led on her side with her hand on the mat in front of her; watching him while he crawled closer towards her.
He approached her, crawling on the mat and the darkness of the night accompanying him - Maddox looked mystical, he looked so masculine and mature. Syana's heart thrived in her chest and she found herself on edge as he voiced her name again. "Syana." She replied with a small "Mm?" and that was when what happened next caused her to gaze wide-eyed on ahead. He had cupped her cheek and lifted her head; his action caused her to blush and her eyes widened. Her lips were replaced with a warm, intoxicating sensation and she found her eyes going lax as she leaned into it. Her hand slowly lifted and brushed over his arm, gripping onto it.

Why... Why did it come to this...?
Syo was searching Magnolia, looking for information on what was afflicting him. In the process, he saw Syana walking around with someone he vaguely remembered from three years ago. With his curiosity pulled, he followed them from a distance. He wasn't particularly feeling jealous. He believed in her. Three years was a long time. It wouldn't count for nothing... right? But the longer he watched them, the more his head was filled with doubts and a throbbing pain began to invade his mind. Why? As he watched the two of them get closer, and then eventually have some kind of picnic, Syo was already absorbed in watching what was in front of him to care about the scenery. Their conversation, he could barely make it out. But what he could hear was not pleasant. And the throbbing in his head got louder.
It sounded like chains rattling. It was getting louder, giving him a headache. And then his eyes saw the one he loved kissing another guy. At that point, something in his head snapped. Those chains he was hearing broke, and he could feel something else in his head. But right now, he had no means to fight back.
Are you going to stand for that? After everything you've been through? W-what are you talking about? It's her choice... You're jealous. Don't deny it. But... Why? Let me free. I'll fix everything. Why... How are you going to do it? I'll make everything better. Just sleep. Sleep...? Sleep... and I'll finally... Be...
"Free..."
In his mind, the person who use to be Syo, was now wrapped in chains, hidden deep in his own mind, shut out from the world, sleeping. And now, the one who had always been there, viewing things from the sidelines, was awake. His right eye was no longer brown, but an icy blue. His old memories of death and murder, as well as the majority of his negative emotions, were finally free. No longer repressed. The inner, Dark Syo was finally in control of the body and mind without resistance. And the trigger? The girl in front of him who had betrayed him. As much as he wanted to thank her, he wasn't about to forgive her either.
Still, those sad emotions were swirling in his head too. He needed to expel them. Pulling out a dagger, he began infusing his magic into it, causing it to glow a sickly purple instead of the usual strong orange Syo usually had. With the mana dagger charged, and his target in sight, Syo was still charging his magic and compressed it within himself. Unable to hold it, he let fly the dagger towards Syana's neck with pinpoint accuracy. At the same time, a wave of fire spread out in a couple meters diameter from him, scorching the landscape and revealing where he was. He was around 10-15m away from the two.
Standing up having 'accidentally' revealed himself, he continued looking at the two for a few seconds with an evil grin before running off, never to be seen again. Though if one had seen him properly, his brown left eye was crying, whereas his blue right eye had tears of blood. His visible skin was also seen to have black spots on it, showing he was diseased.
Time to leave and find a cure for this stupid disease, and get back to killing. Because it just felt too good as his blade slides into the body of another.
OOC: First and last time Syo will be seen ;
Also, that Dagger is now in the possession of Syana.

The kiss on the lips felt magical to Syana, like a whole world was spinning or fireworks were dancing across the sky in her mind and yet something felt off. Something told Syana once again that she needed to slow down, something about this whole thing made her feel uneasy. As she looked towards Maddox who was so close, she slowly leaned back to face him. A smile on her face despite her heart and body telling her that something was wrong.
That was when it happened. A magical presence caused Syana to look around, her eyes closed and she opened them after; catching sight of an all-too-familiar person. Something sharp flashed out and the magic around it caused Syana to snap out of the magic daze she was in, her head began to ache once more and she winced before lifting her hand up to quickly form a light shield to prevent the dagger from hitting her.
What happened next caused Syana's eyes to widen. The person who stood up was none of than the person she had been longing to see. Standing up quickly, Syana took a few rushed steps towards him when she saw his expression. His face was a mixture of sadness and anger. Tears were streaming down one half, but the other looked so twisted in hatred. Syana moved forward one more step, but before anything could be said; the boy had turned and left at a rushed speed leaving a trail of flames on the floor. It wasn't that in which caused Syana to cover her mouth, but what she realised after. With the dagger in her hand, a sharp pain reminded her she had a grasp on it. With the rose droplets of blood falling to the ground, she lifted her head towards the direction Syo fled. He had just tried to kill her. Her heart felt torn, but she lifted her head to watch onward. Her lips straight and her green eyes clouded with confusion. "Syo..." She breathed his name before cupping her mouth to shout it once more at the top of her lungs. Why do you look so ill... I recognise that magic and that corruption... Turning towards Maddox, Syana bit her lower lip.
"Syo's got the virus..."

By the grace of the gods themselves, Syana didn't try to flee from him when he kissed her, nor did she question what he was doing. A half open eye watched the blush cross her cheeks before closing, enjoying the moment, the closeness, the...
Hair on the back of his neck was standing on end. Was someone nearby, watching them? His eye reopened in time to see Syana break away from him, smiling. He almost managed a smile in return when their peaceful moment was interrupted by that runt who basically always got between himself and Syana - usually that would have made him annoyed enough, but the fool actually thought it was a good idea to attack Syana?
His Syana?
He needn't block the dagger it seemed, she managed that much on her own, but he was on his feet in an instant and had taken a few steps in pursuit of Syo when he forced himself to a halt, glancing over his shoulder.
No, there would be time to kill him later. Syana needed him, perhaps needed his protection. Running off and leaving her alone in the forest was a stupid choice, at best. Reeling himself in with a hard swallow and grit teeth, Maddox forced a deep inhale and exhale to clear his mind, which was rife with thoughts of violence.
These thoughts intensified when he realized that Syana was actually worried for the little jerk, forcing his anger to the surface once more.
"He tried to kill you, if the disease gets him, he deserves as much." Maddox replied, brows furrowed. "Come, lets return to Magnolia. You will be safer there."
A bitter ending to a night that had been going so well...
