Battler walked down the streets of clover, just as the sun had gone down. Or did it go up? He didn't have a normal sleeping cycle anymore so he didn't really pay attention. His current destination was a place with temporary accomodation among other things. So he was heading to a place with inns, temporary lodging, and stuff for the adult adventurers to... spend the night.
Now why was he going this way? Because a certain daughter of his, whom he has just found several hours ago, said she was staying at one of these adult-like places. So now he was following the directions of his scarf. Around his neck, obediently following his instructions, was Minor, his daughter, who he had told to wrap around his neck and not to move. If she could manage until they found her human, he would give her a treat.
Continuing down the path, Battler came to a halt outside of the building Minor had directed him to. It just looked like a typical inn. He knew not to take his daughter's words at face value, but he still had some lingering doubts. A human woman who was cooking an egg in a hot pot when it suddenly hatched, and then told that newborn about a brothel that they were possibly staying at... Time to find the truth of the matter. And so, he walked inside.

Now that Minor was around Battler's neck, the town seemed to speed by like a passing bullet. She was still excited. Now that she was much higher in the air, everything looked different, the shops, the signs with cryptic meanings. Even the people walked by faster... or maybe people walked by faster because of Battler's ominous aura. Oh well, none of that mattered. Minor was perfectly content, wrapped around Battler's neck.
"That way!" Minor was sure of every turn she took, sometimes taking four right turns at the same intersection and sometimes telling Battler to walk along in the same direction for far longer than he needed to. Somehow, either by miracle or luck, they ended up in front of the inn that Astra and Minor had been staying at before Minor's night escape. As soon as they were in the door, Minor spoke up again, "I don't know what room we were in." her voice came out softly, in the same demonic language she was speaking before. "The signs all look like the Dark Elf language-- you know that one, right? That language sooooo confusing." Her tails wagged vertically over Battler's left shoulder.
"Ooooo! I think it's that one!" Minor pointed with one of her tails to the second door. "Mere's meh mey!" Minor produced the key from an unknown location on her body, and held it close to Battler's face with her mouth. If he were to take the key, Minor would respond by licking his cheek.
"Let's play a prank!" Minor giggled. "I've never done one before. Here, just open the door and then we'll scare my human!" She wiggled around across Battler's shoulders, and then suddenly pretended that she was dead, with her tongue hanging out of her mouth and her tails drooping off of Battler's shoulders.

There was absolutely not a single way that she, Astra of the Valkyries, would lose to anyone! Not the first person to challenge her, and definitely not the fiftieth either. The Inn was bustling with activity. Or rather, it had been. Now there were several of the bar patrons on the floor with bloodied noses and broken elbows. Gathered around a small table, was a majority of the remaining patrons, with Astra sitting on one end of the table with her arm and elbow placed onto it. Within her fingers, she grasped the hand of another man, easily three times her size. They were arm wrestling, and those unfortunate enough to have been knocked to the ground, were the ones who had dared to challenge her and then claimed she cheated. There was nothing in this world that would get away with tainting her honor, so they had obviously had to prove that she was cheating through a fight. Which had ended up with a good bit of the lot getting put in their place. Looking at the man confidently, as he started attempting to slam the girls hand into the table, her arm seemed unmoving. The other may aswell have been armwrestling an iron statue. A mere moment after, she slammed his arm into the table with enough force that the poor, beaten object finally burst and broke. The man himself rolled off to the side like some rag-doll that had been tossed away. "Huh?! How's that for you, punk?!" Picking up her mug that, due to another victory, had been filled with more mead, she was chugging away, the golden foam apparent on her lips. The remaining of her outfit was the Valkyrie armor that she almost always wore. Feathered helmet and a scaled vest, armored leggings and the enormous bladed staff over her back.
"Thats it you bellends! If anyone else challenges me, its to a *hic* fistfight! Got it?!" Getting to her feet, and looking mildly intoxicated, it wasn't until this point that she realised Minor had been gone for the entirety of the day. So, valiant as she was, she headed towards the door, only to have it opened by a man that was carrying what looked like a wounded minor in his arms. Immediately, Astra pointed at his face. "If you've hurt my fox, I'll introduce you to.. *hic* ... justice and retribution, my left and right fist respectively!" The girls breath would undoubtedly have the scent of malt and honey. Astra was wasted.
Skill Name: Eyes of the Heavens Description: As a Valkyrie, Astra has a natural aptitude at judging an opponents strenght and threat level. It allows her to judge wheter she stands a chance, or wheter she is outclassed completely. The eyes grant the same information about casted spells.
Skill Name: Eyes of the High Heavens Description: The Valkyrie are those chosen by the gods, who shall watch the battles of the mortals, judging the mortals as worthy or unworthy to enter the divine halls. It is through this knowledge, that Astra has gained an insane insight into combat, allowing her to react faster and make better decisions than an average person.
Skill Name: Heroic Presssence Desciption: Astra's pressence can be felt on the battlefield. Capable of inspiring herself or any chosen ally, the effects of poison, paralysis, sleep and fear can be temporarily ignored. Once the effect of Heroic Pressence fade, the entire backlash from any such effects are felt immediately. (Three turns before backlash kicks in)
Spell Name: Sky-God's Feast Level: A Range: Passive Description: This ability is what allows Astra to devour the element of wind. Any wind-based attack that is launched towards her is a potential meal. Upon eating wind, she restores her physical strenght. The healing and restoration depends on the amount of wind that she is allowed to eat. It can be channeled for up to three posts total. Drawback: This spell has a significant cooldown, depending on how much air Astra consumes. At base, it has a cooldown of at least five turns. A larger feast will increase the cooldown by two turns.
Spell Name: Sky-God's Roar Level: B Range: 15m Description: Taking in a huge breath of air, Astra infuses her own breath with a high amount of mana. Then upon breathing out, a violent torrent of wind shoots forth from her mouth. By holding up a hand to her own lips, she can either allow the blast to be in a cone where it deals moderate damage, or narrowing the blast to a smaller area at increased strenght. This attack also knocks back most projectile based attacks of the same rank. Drawback: This spell has a rather long cooldown, as roaring continuously would destroy her throat.

Walking into the inn and listening to Minor, Battler was quick to hear the rowdiness from the tavern side. Taking the key Minor had presented, he used his lips to grab it (since metal hurts the teeth and doesn't taste pleasant). With his cheek being licked, he looked at the previously mentioned writing. It wasn't dark elf, but the standard for Earthland. Sure, it did have similarities. Demonology 101 was to learn the language of every demon you come across, lest you insult them by accident. Or in Battler's case, sleeping with them.
Before long, the voice of a female began to overpower the voice of the crowd that was behind the door he was approaching. After the muffled sound, his eyes reacted to the presence approaching the door before opening it. Right there was presumably the one he was looking for. And she reeked of alcohol. At least he, himself, could hold his liquor. Actually, his demon biology probably broke it down faster than he could drink it now. As she spoke, he realized that Minor around his neck was playing dead.
From the aura of mana emanating from the one in front of him, there were two things he knew straight away. First, they had more innate power than him so they were of a higher rank. The other, they were a sort of divine being. The opposite of what he was. So he was in quite the predicament. Now... to play the joker or not? Best not. Drunks were never very responsive to jokes.
"Go home, woman. You're drunk. To top it off, how can you provide retribution to another when you were the one to fail in protecting said daughter of mine and letting her run off alone, so responsibility falls to you, her guardian."
Battler's tone was impassive though slight hints of anger was there. He didn't mean to joke, but he ended up neither confirming nor denying the state of Minor while revealing who he was in relation to her. And even reprimanding the being who could probably kill him with ease should they try. Switching to the demon language, Battler spoke to Minor.
"Minor, my daughter, the joke is over I am afraid. Your human is intoxicated and incapable of responding properly. Please hop onto my head for the meantime."

Minor's head perked up at the sight of Astra. That was her! That was her human! She tried to keep herself still, but Minor was just so overcome with happiness that she could not contain herself. But she had to keep herself from moving. She had to prank Astra! Still, she was just too happy. Minor managed to keep her entire body still except for a single tail that wagged softly on Battler's shoulder.
It was a small movement, and there was little chance that the intoxicated Astra actually noticed. That that Minor would have know if she did or did not, anyways. She could not understand a word that she was saying, or what Battler had said back to her. She only understood one line of dialogue, and that was that Astra was somehow intoxicated. Minor's wagging tail drooped to one side.
"B-But isn't there anything we can do to help her?" Minor anxiously got up from around Battler's neck and stood with her back feet on his shoulders and with her front paws resting on his head. She looked worriedly down at Astra. "I-I don't like the way my human is acting." She shrunk back as much as she could without falling off his head. Her ears pressed back to her skull.
"I don't like this 'intoxicated'." She whined.

Tilting her head sideways, it was clear that there was a large amount of distrust behind Astra's eyes towards this Battler person that had yet to introduce himself. This other person was speaking an obscure amount of nonsense. Of course Astra was drunk, but that wasn't at all reason for her to go home. and she was going to tell him exactly what was what! "Hah! Minor, need protection? So you suggest I keep her in a cage! Minor is allowed *hic* her freedom! It is barbar-- *hic* .. barbar-- *hiic* ... Mongrels like you that ruin a perfectly good day! Also men cannot give birth to foxes, what are you, stuuupid?" When Minor was clearly moving, Astra started beaming like the sun itself. Beginning to laugh as it became obvious to her that Minor had pulled a prank, she didn't notice the worried look that Minor was showing off at all. Though, something suddenly hit Astra like a brick to the face. This other person had somehow gotten the name that Astra herself had given to the fox. Looking at him suspiciously as he was speaking in some foreign tongue that was much akin to the first things Minor had said to Astra when the fox had been hatched, the offensive demeanor was slowly exchanged for a more interested and curious one. "Wait wait wait, you understand what.. *hic*... What minor says?" Looking at the Fox, Astra knew that the little creature had more intelligence than a regular fox, but to be able to speak? That was something quite interesting to her. Could it truly be that this person, thing, creature, was the father of a fox?...
That sounded beyond stupid and it was given Astra a headache. Alongside the booze, of course.
