Name: Scouting Party Rank: B Posts Limit: 6 Objective: You and your team are to go to the tear desert, there have been rumors of a moderately large team of bandits attacking the towns and fleeing into the desert at night, from this you are to track them down, defeat them, and bring in their leader for justice back to Fairy Tail as he is a Renegade from the Guild, a fairly powerful Wind Mage. Reward: 700 Exp: 80
Fawn wanted to come here wearing her armor, however it was just so hot. They had spent about a day and a half to get here, The trip was pretty uneventful, but the food on the train was nice. She managed to get most of her paper work done on the train ride, having sent it off to the various places it needed to go once she arrived at the station. She wasn't sure how well she'd be able to keep up with the paper work.
Her hair was in a ponytail and her hat. She was wearing a white tee-shirt with the guild's logo in light blue on her chest, and she was wearing a pair of shorts with some boots. She didn't want sand in her feet, on her back she had her sword. It had a light pink handle and some cute designs on them. She hadn't even gotten to use it in a proper fight yet, but she didn't want to tell anyone that.
This was going to be a pretty rough mission, "So, From what I've read in my books, The Renegade is named Jeram Cyclone. He use to be famous member of the guild about five years ago, but due to some dispute he stopped visiting the Guild and we began getting reports that he was committing crimes. However it has been hard to pin down where he was, but apparently he's here, with some gang."
She spoke, having spent time researching this mission so that they could be slightly prepared.
OOC: Anyone who wants to join feel free to I guess x3 PARTY AT THE TEAR DESERT.

"Are you serious?" As the heat intensified she held her arms up to the beaming sun. "I'm going to get a tan from these rays!" She twirled and kicked the sand with her boots.
Ookami walked off the train with his armour wrapped on his body and shining brightly in the sunlight. As he lowered himself down so that his belly was brushing the floor, Yoko leaped onto his back and he stood up once more.
Turning around slowly under his owners command, Ookami gazed at the trains and walked towards Fawn. "If he is famous from Fairytail, that must mean he's a high ranked person, but if that's the case why is this a B class and not an S or A?"

Deion wasn't far behind Yoko. "Perhaps it's because he's gotton rusty. After all, we're not going up against a guild of mages, it's a bunch of theives, meaning we should have an advantage unless he's been teaching them magic.", he stated, pulling the mask down and taking a deep breath.
"We need a plan. We can't just walk in, we might be forced to deal with everyone there.", he added. "But we need a good plan. I don't want this to go badly, you guys are my allies, and I'll do what I can for you.", he finished, smiling.

Fawn nodded, "That is likely the case, unless he's actually been growing stronger... let us just hope that isn't the case." She laughed before looking around. "It would be wise if we started by trying to figure out where they were located and then strike them when they are sleeping." She kicked the sand a little bit before she before speaking again.
"It would be very dangerous to get into a battle with a wind mage in the desert, If they used this sand to their advantage it would be quite hard to defeat them." She looked around. "Gathering information should be our first priority. So let's split up and meet back here in an hour."
She said as she picked a direction, "If they have been attacking towns then the locals should be quite cooperative in helping us locate them."

Yoko nodded, clicking her tongue and causing Ookami to turn to another direction. "Hopefully we can get some detailed information and use that as a great way to plot out just how we are even going to do this mission." her eyes were filled with determination.
Already they were in danger and their main task hadn't even started. As she took her staff off her back and held it beside her like a jousting stick, she looked towards Fawn and then Deion. "Good luck to both of you. Don't forget to be back here in an hour!" she had repeated what Fawn had said, but she had watched Deion smile and couldn't help but smile herself.
She had only known him for around two days and already they were good friends, it was the same for her and Fawn. Heck, they were closer than friends because they were team mates now and they were willing to put themselves at risk.
As she pulled softly at Ookami's fur, he began to dash off kicking up sand and running at a quick pace. His body waving like a worm, but an elegant and agile feeling to it, even with the armour on he didn't seem at all effected by the weight of her, the bags and the armour.

Deion pulled his mask back up. "Split up. Secure any information. Return in an hour.", he repeated to himself as he turned away from them and faced the desert. "Even if he has the advantage in the desert... My clothing is coving much of my body.", Deion stated as he began to walk directly into the desert.
Whether I find anything or not will be luck. Maybe I should've went in town, but it's a large empty desert. Any settlement would be easy to locate., he thought as he scanned the area around him. He would try and sniff out any details he seen with the hour he was given.
"But the question is, when I find it, should I go into the camp or not. There's no wind, so footprint will stil be here.", he said quietly as he began to focus his efforts to finding faint tracks in the sand.

Shinjitu had been sitting around the Pub when he had learned that Fawn was planning to go on a mission with some others. When he had been able to piece together the group that was going he had sighed heavily. The group seemed rather weak at first glance so he had decided to tag along even if he hid off to the side the entire time. He had followed Fawn all the way to the station, getting on just before it left as he tagged along all the way. Even now he remained off to the side and made sure he was just close enough so he could listen closely to what was being discussed. As she mentioned the name of the renegade a mental image of the individual popped up into his head, or at least the last how he had last seen this Jeram. "Hmm... This guys might need some help. Especially if Cyclone has been teaching others."
He continued to listen to the group as they talked back and forth about how low the rank of the mission was and how the rays would give them a tan. Even the one male in the group mentioned how he would do anything he could for them since they were his allies. He continued to listen in until they decided to split up to discover any information they could on the group of thieves that they were to hunt down. As the other two left Fawn to her own work, he quickly moved as his small form moved across the ground like a bolt of lightning. His small red eyes looked at Fawn as he quickly moved at her and as he got close to her he jumped into the air. "Fawn!!!" He said, pretty much smacking into her chest as he latched onto her shirt quickly and looked at her with a wide smile. "Hi~!" He said, closing his eyes as he tilted his head to one side with that wide smile on his face.

Fawn heard her name being called, and before she could turn around to see who it was, Shinjitu had jumped onto her chest and latched on, she giggled. "What are you doing here Master Shinji?" She was glad to see him though. She was unsure about how well she might be able to do on this mission, and having an experienced mage for such a combat intensive mission would probably be a life saver.
She picked him up and placed him on her left shoulder, looking up at the beaming sun and the near by town. She needed to go talk to people and locate where the gang might be hiding. She thought about it.
It would probably be best to ask town guards, as they might have even tried to storm their hideout once already and gotten beaten.

Heading away from the town, she ordered Ookami to sniff the air and pressed his nose a little closer to the ground to inhale any scents. While he was doing that and avoiding the sand going up his nose, she looked around with her staff at ready unless anybody came to question her or attack her.
After a few minutes, Ookami lifted his head and shook it. He had turned up unsuccessful, walking forward slowly to sniff the air and find a new scent.
Yoko eventually lowered her staff, when Ookami began to growl and cause her to lift it up again. "What is it, Ookami?" She asked looking frantically around. "Somebody coming??" Her eyes widened as she saw something coming up in the distance. As it got closer and closer, it took that shape of a camel and Yoko instantly narrowed her eyes. Nobody was on the camel, it must of been a wild one. Suddenly Ookami walked closer to it and began to dig around it. As he glanced at Yoko through the corner of his eyes he snapped a gaze towards the camel and she understood. "Oh, this is a villagers camel? By the looks of it; it has been badly treated..." With that, she used beast communicate, her eyes widened as she listened to the Camel. I was stolen from the village, only managed to come back... The camel stared at them with wide solemn eyes, kicking one hoof forward and crying softly. I didn't know what to do, I've been wandering around for days... "We're looking for the thieves and if there is anything you know about them, please do tell us!" She watched the camel as it hesitated for a few minutes and then nodded. I will, I'll tell you as much as I can.

Deion sprinkled the fine sand, warm though it may be, back into the desert. What was left on his hand, he blew off it. He couldn't help but stand there and seem amazed that he found nothing. It had been a dead track when the footprints he followed vanished. He looked around for any traces of human civilization to no avail.
"Tis sad honestly. I thought that it would lead me somewhere. I mean, it shouldn't even be so hard to find such a place.", he said to himself pulling his mask down and licking his dry lips. Maybe I should drink something, he thought as he moved on.
He stood where he was, on a small hill in the sand to try and see anything besides the town.

Shinji had that wide smile on his face up until the point that Fawn took hold of him and moved him from latching onto her shirt up to her left shoulder. He released a soft humming sound as he thought up an answer to her question on why he was there. "Eh... It was getting boring sitting around and I heard that you were doing this mission. So I decided to tag along to help." He said, a small smile on his face as his own eyes looked up towards the sun before once again returning to level with the ground. He tilted his hat down to protect his eyes from the constant abuse of the sunlight. He could turn into his larger forms which would probably allow him to traverse the area quickly but he decided to stay in his normal form. He might as well since it would open up to allow him to pick which form would be needed later on.
"I thought it would be better to tag along to make it easier on you. It also gives me a chance to see you make choices throughout the mission." He said, his small little hands latched onto her shirt as he leaned against her head and gently rubbed his against hers in an affectionate way. "I need to keep an eye on you till I'm sure you're ready to do everything on your own." He said, a smile on his face still as he continued to just lightly lean against her head.

Fawn smiled, "Aw, Thank you Master Shinji. I won't let you down!" She said with a fired up inflection, she looked around and headed towards the nearest town, the buildings were all about one floor each, none of them looked to be destroyed, but were all in a state of disrepair. If no one was around you would assume it was a ghost town.
She started to wonder if these towns even had official guards she could question. She continued looking around the streets, it wasn't very dense with people. It seemed most were keeping to their homes. Maybe it was because of the gangs that attacked.
She eventually found a man with a spear sleeping beside what appeared to be a watch tower, though it wasn't much taller than any building. Fawn hoped this was a guard. "Hello sir?" She said hoping to get his attention.
"Yeah, what is it?" He said, no moving from his sleeping position.
"Do you know where we can find the bandits that have been attacking the towns around here?" She said looking over at her master.
"Just wave some gold around, eventually the bandits will find you." He said in a sarcastic manner.
Fawn sighed, "Do you know where they hide out?"
The guard sighed, "They always attack from the north, There are a couple of ruins and temples to the north. They could be hiding out in any of them. Most are cursed... I wouldn't go there. Now can I go back to napping?"
Fawn turned around, The gaurd, while rude had helped her a bit. They were hiding to the north.

Becoming unsure, the camel kicked the sand once again and cried softly. As time passed on, the camel turned to leave before Yoko could say anything more.
"Now hold it!" she yelled, causing the camel to freeze and look back at her. "You want to return back to town, so I'll take you back; before I do that however..." Ookami walked closer to the camel, causing it to take a step back and snort. "You must tell me where the bandits are hiding and what is actually going on. "
After a while of thinking, the camel sighed and gave up. Very well. I will tell you As the camel began to follow Yoko, it spoke once more. You see, the bandits hide up north and one day they stole me from the town. Their master was really big and quite strong, he'd train them in all these weird ways and if they disobeyed him something would happen to them... I was scared, but another day they came back with many jewels and blood was on them. I knew something was up and I recognised that smell of home.
The next day they had plenty of food and on their master was a mark just like yours... he would chant about how successful they were becoming and how soon things would turn out on their behalf.
A few weeks later, I had to flee and so I did. When the nightwatch were sleeping, I took the chance and crept away. Then they began chasing me and I ran for miles with them following me until I lost them in a sandstorm. After that, I've been heading for many days trying to find my way back home and I am starving. My water is almost gone too...
Now that Yoko noticed it, the camel was emaciated. Barely anythign was on it and its ribs were sticking out of its stomach. You could see every line and its legs looked like it could break at any second. Her eyes widened as she noticed the camel was actually nothing but skin and bones. "How long have you not eaten for?? " There was concern in her voice. They never fed me much, just a few oats and the rest they'd use for their horses or whatnot, saying they need to be at their best to run away from guards... I'm just a toy to them... Unlike your wolf there.
Yoko rolled her eyes, hearing the jealousy in the camels voice as it glared at Ookami. She clicked her tongue and Ookami began to walk slower beside the camel as it limped. We're not miles away from home, are we? I don't think I can survive many days...
Yoko lifted a hand and pointed down towards the town. "That's where your home is, am I correct? we're actually pretty close. I would like to hear more, if you can tell me. My magic should last until my friends get back.
Friends? You have more with you? Are you going to join the thieves or stop them? the camel began to panic. I will not go back there. "We're going to hopefully stop them, we're on a mission" Yoko replied calmly. The camel let out a sigh and nodded, kicking the sand and then beginning to walk faster. Let us just head to my home and then we can talk

Deion had spotted what appeared to be ruins. He didn't dare go near them, as he was heading back to the town. If we don't have anything, perhaps we'll just have to wait in the town for them to come, he thought as he couldn't take his eyes off the ruins.
When he did, he pulled the mask back up and made sure he hadn't lost anything. I hope they've found something, or this mission will go downhill fast, he thought as the town came into his view.
