Durriken walked to the final time down to the basement. At least it would be the final time for the side room he opened and cleaned out. The last time he was in there it looked as if he got the last creepy crawly creature that wanted to eat him and he only had the boxes left to pack up and move out. He made his way to the door his hands loaded with a different combination of items that he ever previously brought down. He had a broom, a dust pan, a scrub brush and a music player.
He turned the music player on giving it a short charge of magic to make it run and started to hum along with the radio as he entered the room. He sat the broom against the wall with the dustpan and brush on a nearby box. He nodded when he noticed the large mental container previously holding the eyeball creature had been removed. He didn’t know where it went or what it was and truthfully he didn’t really care, he was just glad to have it done.
He started to open up boxes, giving them a swift smack with his broom before he opened them and was happy that for once he wasn’t met with some creature with sharp fangs or claws or magical powers. He figured that living so close to magic for most of their lives probably added magic to normal creatures but it still made his life a pain.
