"Hmm, oh I think she attacked it. Called it some kind of metal beast.", he said nonchalantly to the cake-girl as he watched. Deion snickered at what unfolded. His attempt to catch the falling girl went sour, as she went sideways and right into the shopkeeper. It was the shopkeeper after all, who paid the price. He landed in the vomit and kept the strange girl out of it. His face is priceless, man I don't know if I should feel bad or break out into a laughing fit, he thought. He waved to the shopkeeper as the poor, poor guy went outside to hopefully get cleaned up and get a change of clothes. He had also taken the cake offered to him as well, gently setting it on a nearby table and seating himself there.
"So.", he said after swallowing some cake and making a gesture towards Astra. "Who do you think she is? She doesn't sound or act like she's from around here at all.", he stated, obvious to her clothing and speech thus far. "Maybe she's a foreigner or something? We are in Harujion after all.", he added, speculating what she might be. "What do you think?", she said as he ate more of the cake. I'm not too hungry but there's no reason to turn down the offer of food if I don't have to pay for it, he reasoned with himself.

The shopkeeper fell right into the puddle totally stopping Astra's fall, his face was one she could never forget. The horror of getting someone else's vomit, the man quickly ran away, hopefully to get a change of clothes. "Hahaha!" she couldn't hold it in, the scene was just too funny. "Well, she could be confused just attacking the car. After all this girl's slipping away. And that speech." her voice still rang with a slight subsiding amused tone. "If I'd have to say she is exactly what she says she is, a Valkyrie. I don't even know what that is so who am I to deny it." she shrugged, it wasn't her place to pry, they could simply search Astra's things but that would be extremely invasive and rude. Marika finished her cakes, "I heard there are mages around these parts. Know any?" her main job was still to find recruits, sending a few other members around was also a good thing, if they found people than that was even better.
The shopkeeper has returned with a shiny new clothing ready to serve the piling customers, they have been watching the entire scene, a few left but overall they seemed to enjoy the show. Rikesh, the panda observed the group from one of the roofs, giggling the whole time he found this Astra girl amusing. A perfect recruit for Fairy Tail.

Being asleep rather calmly, Astra wasn't moving much. It seemed like her body was completely paralysed, in some state of heightened rest. At least for a short while. For within her mind, she was having nightmares of this new world. Of a large, snake-like metal beast that she couldn't stop! Waking up with a loud squeal, the entirety of the shop turned to look at her, as she sat up increddibly quickly. Yet, she wasn't completely in the clear, for the shopkeep had placed her by a table, probably nto expecting her to wake up anytime soon. Smacking her face directly up into the table, she immediately fell back down, her eyes going blurry as she murmured something about everything being painful, before she was knocked cold again. Everything went back to how it hadd been a few moments ago, aside from Astra now also having a nosebleed. Certainly, if someone was having a bad day today, it would be her. Absolutely awkward in every single way imagineable.
Skill Name: Eyes of the Heavens
Description: As a Valkyrie, Astra has a natural aptitude at judging an opponents strenght and threat level. It allows her to judge wheter she stands a chance, or wheter she is outclassed completely. The eyes grant the same information about casted spells.
Skill Name: Eyes of the High Heavens
Description: The Valkyrie are those chosen by the gods, who shall watch the battles of the mortals, judging the mortals as worthy or unworthy to enter the divine halls. It is through this knowledge, that Astra has gained an insane insight into combat, allowing her to react faster and make better decisions than an average person.
Skill Name: Heroic Presssence
Description: Astra's pressence can be felt on the battlefield. Capable of inspiring herself or any chosen ally, the effects of poison, paralysis, sleep and fear can be temporarily ignored. Once the effect of Heroic Pressence fade, the entire backlash from any such effects are felt immediately. (Three turns before backlash kicks in)

"Must've been that then.", he said. "Either way I'm sure once she's up there will be some answers to this mess.", he added as he set his fork down. He didn't really feel like eating anymore. It couldn't possibly sate his curiosity about the girl claiming she was a Valkyrie, whatever that even stood for. "Mages you say?", he mused with a sly grin as he closed his eyes. I wonder what she wants with mages, he thought. "Ah, well I suppose that there would be mages in Shirotsume Town, but they probably all belong to Lion Heart.", he stated. "I can't say I know any mages either. Not any around here, I recently arrived here myself.", he added. He looked towards her and stood up out of his chair, keeping his palms flat against the table. "I'm guessing you're looking for mages then, may I ask what for?", he asked.
He turned his glance to Astra, who had woke up to the table. In her face. Ouch, that's gonna be a pain. Should probably move her then, he thought, pulling Astra out from underneath the table and laying her on her side. "Oi, you got some shitty luck you strange girl. So does that shopkeeper though.", he added as he sat back down in his chair. This isn't quite what I expected coming into Harujion. The girl there is looking for mages, hopefully she says why. As for this girl, I feel terrible for her bad luck, he thought, shaking his head hoping that she wouldn't get hurt again right now.

There was now nothing they could do with Astra, the shopkeeper noticed how she fell asleep and moved her away from the two. Since these symptoms were those of exhaustion and hunger there was nothing Marika was worried about, just give it time. She finished all the cakes, her belly got rounder but that didn't mean her power was lesser. Even this other guy didn't know the Valkyria, what it meant, she will have to ask somebody at the local library if they really had one. "Hey old man, do you have a library around this place?" the shopkeeper was a local. The man mumbled something under his breath and wrote some directions to the place, they weren't perfect, in fact his map with directions was amateurish. The guy, his name still eluded her also knew about this Lion Heart she keeps hearing of, this time he cited that city they were based. She didn't really want to go there, the mages of that area belonged to theirs just as with Magnolia. "Why do you say?" Marika turned away from the map for a second to stare at him. "Heh, to have a match of course." she punched the table lightly. "It also looks like she can use magic. When she wakes up we'll have a match." pointed a finger at Astra. "If you happen to know a mage turn them my way." she squinted softly "What is your name? I am of Vermillion clan." if the guy was familiar with Magnolia he'd know the clan was very rich.
At the same time she noticed Astra moving, again getting down though due to bumping into the table. "Ohh, it looks like you're awake. Would you like to explain to me what Valkyria magic is it that you wield? We could do that during a fight if you'd prefer." Marika stood up and was already preparing her fist but Astra was knocked out again with a nosebleed. "Oh well, I'll just have to take her with me and challenge her later." she announced it like the girl already belonged to her. Will someone stop her?

Deion mulled it over. She didn't seem to really care to ask if he was a mage, not that it mattered. He didn't feel like fighting anyone right now, it would probably be forfeit if he had such an option. Maybe not even fight back. He watched the shopkeeper comply and provide Marika with directions. I'd like to tag along, I'm gonna do it. Not asking permission, he thought with a cheeky grin. Stretching out his yawn to try and cover up said grin, he waved his hand nonchalantly before his face. "You're simply looking for mages to fight? I see.", he spoke. So her name is Marika, interesting huh. Wonder what else I can learn, starting with this Valkyrie, he thought, glancing down to the girl on the floor. "I think I'll stick around for a while, I'm curious about the girl at the least. I'd like to learn more about her.", he stated, walking over to Astra and kneeling down beside her.
"I'm Deion. Last name Ryder.", he said as he gave Marika a thumbs up. "Oi, its a pleasure to meet'cha!", he chimed with a big smile before turning back to Astra. "After we part, I'll send any mages your way if their interested in having a match with you.", he said, sliding his arms under Astra and rising to his feet, carrying the girl bridal-style. "Eh, just exactly where would I be sending those mages.", he asked, waiting for Marika to lead them to the library as the instructions were in her hands, not his and he had not looked at them. "I mean, that's a pretty important detail that I should know if you're asking me to send them your way.", he added.

This time the shopkeeper was glad the trio was leaving, his time with the vomit almost made him puke. "Yes, I am looking for interesting mages to make fight. Sure you can come, not going to stop you." to reply to him, she tried to sound as little caring as possible. So this guy was called Deion, an interesting name. it would be even more interesting if he was a mage. "Pleasure's mine. You can handle yourself?" she asked him due to her nature of attracting trouble "Stick with me long enough and you'll have some fun." there was another gang already on her heels since she left Magnolia. If these guys caught up they would have a one way fight, but even with her here Deion would have to fend for himself. Non mage gangs usually attacked in packs, they did know she was a mage. There was no question they would be prepared. "Send them to Fairy Tail, we're looking for recruits. I'll fight them all myself." Marika liked the way of testing the recruits first, clashing fists helped understand each other a little more.
Astra was still knocked out and so there was no other choice than to just pick her up around her waists again, Deion was however faster. They followed the instructions to the letter, there were a few dead ends like a road was where it wasn't supposed to be but the houses were short in these parts. Marika wouldn't bother finding a new route, she simply jumped on the roofs. Hopefully Deion could keep up with Astra with him. Unknown to them a group of four gangsters have already arrived to their destination, they mingled into the crowd of people inside the library. They were obviously being tailed by another gang member just in case. Marika knew nothing about their plans, if careful one might even spot that guy in a cloak going at least 20 m behind the trio. "So where are you from?" they have arrived at the building described on that piece of paper, the sign "Library" stood high on the building.

Fairy Tail is looking for recruit huh? Sounds pretty interesting. Especially if she thinks its going to get interesting following her, he thought. "Can't wait.", he replied with the girl out cold in his arms. She was still asleep, Deion could manage carrying her and keeping up. He began to follow her, thinking to himself but keeping an eye on her. I guess I could just tag along, tell her I might be interested in joining Fairy Tail, he mused the idea around. It would certainly be interesting at the least to join a guild, but right now his first concern was to deal with this girl and learn more about her. Maybe even help her out if she needed it. Keeping up, he didn't voice his annoyance at the dead ends, simply following Marika onto the roofs using acrobatic jumps to get up. "This works a lot better than walking through the streets.", he said, stopping slightly to make sure he had a good grip on Astra before moving on with Marika.
He caught only a glimpse before moving on, but he could've sworn he seen something. But nevertheless they had a destination to go to. Deion said nothing, thinking he was simply tired from all the quote, excitement. When they arrived at the library, Marika asked him a question of where he was from. "Technicolor Village, out in West Fiore. A nice place if you're interested in research and whatnot.", he said, standing with Marika. "After you, I'm going to see if I can wake her up.", he added, setting the girl down against the stairs. He glanced at her, deciding what he should do to try and wake her up. "Oi, hey hey!", he shouted at her, tapping on her shoulder lightly, but repeatedly. "Oi, wake up you!", he gave a sigh. He had no idea if this would work or not, but he wanted to try something to get her up. Maybe we could get her some coffee, he thought, looking up at the library sign, then looking around to see if there was any kind of coffee shop around.

So it was easy for this guy to carry Astra and launch himself on the roofs with her. Either he possesses some acrobatic talent or he must be trained, perhaps a bounty hunter or a soldier? Deion revealed he was from Technicolor Village, the place the previous guild masters summit was held. She still had yet to receive any notice about the next gathering, no doubt it'll be in this village as well. Since they were at the entrance to the library Astra was put down, she was still asleep, looked peaceful at that, Deion tried to wake her up. "It would be simpler to give her something to smell. Hmmmm how about your dirty socks? I think they'll work nicely." Marika waited for Deion to take off his socks and press them onto Astra's nose. Marika thought this to be the best way to wake up somebody, otherwise they should just set this girl on a chair while they look for information.
Either way "If she does or doesn't wake up just bring her inside, there will be chairs she can sit and relax at." she was the first to enter. If those gangsters had a trap prepared she would have been caught, probably since she always observed the surroundings when being in an unknown place. This place actually looked larger than the outside suggested. The whole building was almost a square attached to oval entrance, the ceilings were tall, painted with various artistic views. Two sets of counters were in the middle of the library, people were standing at them, no doubt waiting for their turn. "Hmm nice place. But were is the informations person?" she scanned her immediate surroundings. Marika was the less talkative type, if Deion wanted anything from her, he better ask for it, even then she might not tell him the whole truth.

It didn't seem to be of use. Tapping on her shoulder didn't seem to wake her up. He scoffed at Marika's suggestion. "Oi, I'm sure that would work but its a real shame that my feet are clean and smell nice. There's only the weird leather boot smell.", he said. "Besides, its too much work to take them off and I've rather not walk around with them off.", he said. Regardless of how his feet smelled, Deion had little interest in going through the trouble of taking them off only to put them back on again afterwards. "Maybe we could get some cold water and splash it on her face, its a better idea.", he said, glaring towards Marika as he picked Astra back up. "You start looking for information, I'll try and get her up inside. If I can't get her up I'll start looking around the library.", he said, carrying Astra inside and finding an empty chair to seat her in.
"Oi, you're from Fairy Tail, tell me what the guild is like would ya?", he asked as he found a cup. He found an area for water and ensured it was cold as ice as he allowed the cup to fill. He walked over to Astra, looking down at her with a flat expression before snickering at her with a stupid grin on his face. This is for being asleep and unable to explain anything, he said as he splashed the water into her face. He was indifferent to if it worked or not, but he doubted that anyone would stay asleep after being splashed with freezing cold water. He walked away from Astra and approached a clerk for the library.
He bowed and gave a gentle smile. "My apologies for interrupting, but I have a question pertaining to any book material covering the name Valkyrie. If you would be so kind as to supply me with perhaps a list of books on inventory, or even in the right direction it would be appreciated.", he stated to the poor man who seemed intimidated by Deion. The man responded with a gulp and immediately when to work, handing Deion a list and pointing off to a less crowded section of the library. "Very appreciated my good man.", he shook the clerk's hand before walking off and collecting several books in the section he was directed to, bring them back over to where Astra was, sleeping or not. He gave a sly, curved smile with devious eyes as he lifted the books up above the table, and dropped them beside her, whether or not she was awake or not. "These should help for now.", he said, taking a seat and starting to read one of the larger books. He flipped through a few pages, before putting the book down and leaving.

The girl was rather lightweight without wearing her armor, which was likely extremely convenient for them, as hauling her around if she had been heavier would've been quite difficult. Tapping wasn't functioning what so ever. In fact, now that a little time had passed, she seemed completely different to when they had found her. The girl had gotten a pair of dark black rings around her eyes, indicating exactly how exhausted she was, and how much sleep she needed. The girls skin also seemed to be clinging tighter to her bones, almost as if the fat on her petite body was burning away to grant her energy and keep her alive. It was almost as if she had been temporarily bloated, and was now fading away, withering like some beautiful flower having been frozen through countless winters. However, when the icy water was splashed onto her face, she reacted. Splurting, as if she had been drowning, she immediately tilted sideways on the chair, breaking the armguard as she clashed onto the ground with a loud bang, immediately making everyone in the library turn their heads to look at what was causing the commotion. Crawling around on the floor a little, the Valkyrie seemed unwilling to wake up. Seeming completely out of energy, the food that she had been granted was allowing her to hang on a little. Trying to get up on her knees so that she could get up standing, she wasn't extremely successful. Instead, she ended up lying on the ground in a pool of icecold water, clearly awake, yet unable to get up. Just completely out of strenght.
"What an absolutely cruel joke t'was." The Valkyrie spoke quietly, somewhat wincing at the sound of the books being dropped. Was there a reason why he was being so cruel to her? All she needed was a little rest, and there she was, on the ground, in a pool of water. Had gentlemen died out or something? Having given up on getting up on her own, she was sorta just lying there, pathetically, like some wounded animal. Astra felt rather sick, and all she wanted to do was rest. At this moment she wasn't even aware of where she was. It looked like some kind of library, but with these savages carrying her around as they pleased, who knew where she might be in ten minutes?.. It took a while, but she eventually got to her feet again. Looking very much like she was on her wits end, she seemed confused for a moment. "H-huh?" Then, without any additional warning, she seemed to simply poof, disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
[Exit - I need to travel to another area, and this thread drew out longer than I had hoped, sorry!]
