Though Kasumi was eager to report into Marika about the events in Onibas, it seemed like she still wasn't back from Harujion. Kasumi was slightly frustrated but decided to focus her energies elsewhere for now. It seemed that an outbreak of DCD had occurred in South Fiore and Kasumi couldn't help but wonder how lucky they were that they got out of there when they did.
"Sorry for asking you guys for help." Kasumi said apologetically as they went about patrolling the guild at night. "It seems that there are rumors in Magnolia about some person is trying to plan a heist on Fairy Tail. Details were a bit sketchy though so I don't really know what they want to get. We're a bit undermanned at the moment since the guildmaster is still in East Fiore and you two were the first people I thought of who would help."
Kasumi held her chakrams close as she patrolled the guild, staff slung across her back in case she needed to put a better focus on magic. It seemed quiet for now. No signs of commotion or anything like that. Kasumi had to wonder if this rumour was indeed just a rumour. At the same time though, she couldn't be complacent. It was her job as a member of the guild to look after the place and if they did catch a thief, there even could be a reward attached to it.
"I'll be sure the guild pays compensation for you guys, so you don't need to worry about that. I really do appreciate you coming to help though." Kasumi flashed a grateful grin at the other two. She enjoyed doing missions when she wasn't alone. She didn't want to drag the others down though. Hopefully that wouldn't happen tonight.

Wandering around the Fairy Tail guild was nostalgic for Maddox, who had spent a short time as a member after following Syana to the guild. In the end, the guild didn't really suit his style, too goody goody for his tastes, but he didn't regret his time spent there, by any means.
And as long as there was money or Syana involved he was basically guaranteed to help. He wasn't sure if she was rejoining the guild or just around for a visit, but he wanted to assure the place was safe before he went off to find his own purpose.
"I do not mind." He assured Kasumi, his green eye wandering. Strolling around in a bit of a circle, he observed the place carefully for a few long moments. As an assassin, he had done a lot of sneaking in and out of places, so he was pretty sure that most people wouldn't be able to pull a fast one on him.
"It seems much quieter here than it used to be... Even at night it used to be bustling." He commented, looking to Kasumi, perhaps trying to start a conversation to fill the silence. "Did something happen here as well, Miss Ito?"

Before they had left the train station, Syana had taken the opportunity to change back into her normal clothes and kept her staff close to her being as she pulled her hood over head and left the cubicle to meet up with the others. Her stomach revealed between the parting in the cloak and her emerald eyes focused on the other two. Syana listened to the high pitched wail of the train as it set off and she found herself feeling a sense of relief as she was finally home. By the time night had fallen down, it seemed that Kasumi had found a mission they could to join in on and it was at one place that gave Syana fond memories. Her eyes widened as the building came into view.
"Sorry for asking you guys for help. It seems that there are rumours in Magnolia about some person is trying to plan a heist on Fairy Tail. Details were a bit sketchy though so I don't really know what they want to get. We're a bit undermanned at the moment since the guild master is still in East Fiore and you two were the first people I thought of who would help." Kasumi explained and Syana just shrugged, her staff in her hand (primarily to help her stay steady) and her hood over her head. Sure it was dark already, but Syana liked to pretend that she had an air of mystery about her and her casual clothes were much more comfortable than the travelling garbs she'd wear. "I do not mind." Maddox assured the small red-haired and Syana felt a warm sense of satisfaction within her stomach; the idea of her friends getting along was something to relish in.
"I'll be sure the guild pays compensation for you guys, so you don't need to worry about that. I really do appreciate you coming to help though." Syana blinked. Compensation meant she'd get paid, right? The idea of helping out and then getting money from it didn't set well and Syana just cleared her throat. "It's rewarding enough to just see how this place is going after three years..." Syana stated calmly, her eyes moving over the building. "It really hasn't changed." With a soft laugh which faded away into an awkward silence, Syana soon began to realise that despite the fact her home was here within Magnolia; she hadn't actually visited the guild or came near its vicinity in those three years.
"It seems much quieter here than it used to be... Even at night it used to be bustling. Did something happen here as well, Miss Ito?" With her golden green orbs moving towards Maddox and then shifting hastily towards Kasumi, Syana herself began to wonder if that was actually a fact. The faint tapping of the staff against the flooring mixed in with the sound of their footsteps and everything felt so eerie. Why was there an abundance of guildies? Syana's head cocked to the side before she looked around. From what she had gathered of the quest, the most important thing to protect was the alcohol? Well Syana wasn't exactly sure what alcohol was deemed as, but just who was she to say no?

She was glad that Maddox and Syana weren't annoyed at her. In fact, Kasumi watched as they surveyed the guild around them, both of them seeming to be somewhat nostalgic. Kasumi never asked about their histories. Judging from how Riley asked about Maddox when she found out Kasumi was in Fairy Tail, was it possible that the both of them were former Fairy Tail members?
"When I came to the guild, the numbers were pretty dire." Kasumi answered, lowering her voice so that she could pick up on any odd sounds. "From what I've heard from Marika, the attack on Griffin Wing scared the hell out of Fairy Tail. Quite a few of them bolted because of that. As for the others, I think they're off in missions around Fiore. There's been a bit of an effort to try and expand our influence outside of Magnolia. Heck, I'm supposed to be the representative of Fairy Tail in Onibas." Kasumi tailed off towards the end, preferring not to talk out loud about the crisis and how she basically just ditched everyone there.
Kasumi stayed quiet, looking around to hear for any signs of something. The guild was pretty empty, so tonight would've been a good night to commit the thievery. At first, there was nothing. Kasumi was honestly getting rather bored. As they were approaching the bar, the sound of footsteps and swishing liquids reverberated from inside.
"Guys, they're at the bar!" Kasumi exclaimed quietly, rushing towards the bar while trying to remain as silent as she could. Her reasoning was that if she was quiet enough, they'd be able to take the thief by surprise.

With his muscular arms crossed over his chest, Maddox looked between the two young women, nodding softly, slowly as he listened to Kasumi's explanation. It made sense, he supposed, though he couldn't help but mull over the idea that a single person disappearing had caused such a large chain reaction that had affected so many lives. He could only imagine how bad Riley felt about everything. Frowning beneath the cloth that covered his mouth, he contemplated asking Kasumi how Riley had seemed when they had met, but didn't get a chance as something caught their attention.
Rather than outright attack whomever was wandering around the guild, he quite literally disappeared into a shadow to bide his time.
Three years had passed, he no longer had any idea who was a part of the guild and who was not. The best thing that he could do was wait to see if the presence became hostile towards the girls.

Kasumi explained as if she had read Syana's thoughts about the abundance of Fairy Tail members and Syana nodded her head, gripping the staff close and her green eyes honed in on the sound of faint laughter and talking. "Fairy Tail was much more lively when I was here... So many kind, warm faces." A soft, warm and quiet laugh escaped Syana's lips as she reminisced in the idea.
"Guys, they're at the bar!" The red-haired girl's voice came as a frantic hushed whisper and Syana tilted her head; cupping her ear and leaning slightly to listen. Those voices she heard earlier were the men, then? The sound of Maddox next to her caused her to look towards him with curiosity; her mind wondering what he was doing. Of course, when she did look towards him, however, he had vanished and Syana lifted her hand out, waving it frantically at the spot he was. Poking at the area he as just stood, Syana swung around in circles and began to bat softly at the air with her staff.
Moving forward, Syana leaned close to Kasumi. "Maddox has done a disappearing act... Maybe he went on ahead?" Syana voiced her worries to her friend before looking around one more time; keeping her hood on her head and then moving swiftly forward towards the bar. As she approached, she pressed close to a pillar and looked over at them. In this darkness she was at a great disadvantage and she ended up listening to their discussion. Their voices were slurred and they hiccuped within sentences before discussing their plans. Syana took a slow deep breath as the rancid stench of alcohol flooded the air. Sniffing the air, she began to wonder what it was; moving swiftly over to the bar and sitting down on a stool with her hood over her head, a wide smile on her lips and her forever calm-composure hidden underneath the hood. "I'll have what he's having!"

Kasumi followed Syana, cupping her ears and trying to pick up the sounds coming from the room. One thing she could immediately pick up was the sound of sloshing drinks, a common sound she heard when the bar was active. That, alongside the sound of slurred speech hinted towards her that they had been drinking the beer.
"Those bastards. How dare they take our booze." Kasumi muttered angrily, looking around to try and find Maddox. Apparently, he disappeared. Did he really just ditch them? Syana seemed to be confused as well.
"I hope so." Kasumi whispered back, slightly concerned about how the rest of this scenario would play out. They were already down one person. Hopefully events wouldn't occur that would lead to her losing Syana as well. That would just be a disaster.
Before Kasumi had the time to construct a plan, Syana walked into the bar and ordered a drink. She had little to jump behind the frame of the door so that she wouldn't be immediately caught. Peering around the door, she spotted three figures, two male and one female. One of the men was physically bulky with a cross-shaped scar across his left eye. The other was a gangly male with sharp teeth and leery eyes. The lady had a curvy figure, with bright red lipstick and short stature. Glasses and alcohol were strewed across the floor while the woman stood behind the bar.
"Just who the fuck do ya think you are?" The woman retorted, slurring her speech as she reached into her pocket. "This is our alcohol that we stole fair and square! No one's gonna take this drink from us!" The men, who were sat at one of the tables roared in agreement, taking out their swords and moving menacingly towards Syana. While they did so, the lady jumped on top of the bar, wielding a sharp dagger and aiming it towards Syana.
"Now fuck off, or I'm gonna make ya!" She threatened, a dark glint in her eyes. Sighing to herself, Kasumi jumped through the door. Kasumi did not look impressed and if the thieves weren't going to kill Syana, Kasumi most certainly will.
Holding her chakrams in front of her, Kasumi began to sing. While she did this, winds began to spiral quickly around her on either sides, eventually forming two spinning wind wheels. They quickly flew out and started to circle rapidly around the two men, holding them back from reaching Syana and the female thief. While Kasumi was trying the best she could do to hold back the two men, she had to rely on Syana to deal with the female thief.

Maddox had to admit that he was surprised by Syana's boldness, it was a stark contrast to the timidness that he remembered, but mostly he just found himself concerned that something would happen to her - which was nothing out of the ordinary for him, but at least this time he had a legitimate reason to be concerned.
As a shadow, he could move freely in the darkness of the room, which was how he managed to appeared behind the two men without them noticing, though perhaps he also had Kasumi to thank for this. From the floor, the top of his head appeared first, with the rest of his body slowly emerging from the shadow, which seemed to ripple slightly around him.
He looked anything but impressed as he stood behind them, his good eyes looking pass them, to the woman that Syana was going to have to deal with. With the confidence that he could reach her in time, should she requite it, and a rather painful reminder to himself that he needed to let her do things for herself if she were to grow as a mage and a person, he turned his attention to the bulkier of the men, assuming his size might give Kasumi trouble since she seemed to have some sort of wind based magic.
"This is not an appropriate way to act around two young maidens." He announced, his tone a bit bland despite his distaste. The bulkier man didn't even get a chance to turn and face him as tentacles of darkness began to extend from the floor, gripping onto his limbs and causing him to cry out in surprise.

It seemed Syana's order went a bit... Off and the woman had jumped onto the bar with a knife held out towards. Sure, a cut or two wouldn't really bother the light mage but a slit in the throat would damper her experience. The men behind her approaching her with malevolence. With Syana sat there, she close her eyes and focused on the woman in front of her. Other than the sight of the alcohol in her body, she caught sight of nothing abnormal just yet. Of course, the second her eyes relaxed; a sharp pain once again entered her head, a lot stronger than her previous ones. She stood up quickly, the woman slashing at her with the dagger. The dagger just missed and Syana found herself staggering backwards a little bit while gripping onto her staff. With all the power she could muster, she lifted her hand and sent a bolt of light at the woman which she easily dodged. This darkness was beginning to really dampen Syana's poor little spirit.
Wind picked up within the building and bewildered the busty woman who shot a glare towards Kasumi. She lifted the dagger in sheer anger, but then stopped when the sight of her partner getting engulfed by shadows caused her stare in sheer worry before leaping down in front of Syana. With Syana stood there trying to think what to do, she grabbed her by the arm and pulled her with the knife to her throat. With the sensation of the knife to Syana's throat, Syana began to tremble slightly; the rancid stench of alcohol on the drunken woman's breath, she leaned in and her breath tickled Syana's neck and earlobe. "How does it feel to die here?" With that said, along went the knife and as she let go of Syana's body, she stared in sheer surprise as Syana stood there with her hand to her neck; when she moved away, no blood dripped from her neck despite the sensation of the dagger's blade across her neck.
Turning around to face the woman with a surprised gaze, Syana's eyes dashed around the dark room before she pressed her hand to her wrist and closed her eyes. Sure, her head was killing her, but she really needed to act and if this was the way to do it then so be it. With a light beginning to coil and snake around her wrist, Syana pulled away and let the bracelet glow. This was all the light she needed to get an attack. With that said, a pentagram appeared beneath her own body; it began to spin in circles at a slow pace. The woman's eyes dropped to it and she took a step forward with a cruel smirk on her lips. Syana had no intention of hurting the woman, but more-so just showing her what it's like to feel warmth. With that said, the pentagram shot rays of light which seemed to fill the area for a brief amount of seconds before beginning to wrap around the woman's wrists and legs. The woman tried to slice at the light with her dagger which briefly cut into the light but it healed straight after. Syana's eyes closed as she let the tendrils wrap around the woman's wrists and pull them behind her back, forming them into cuffs. The ones that got her ankles formed a chain and a large ball attached while a cuff appeared around her left leg.
The woman tried to move forward, but a faint burning sensation caused her to freeze and it faltered. She shot her gaze towards the girl and narrowed her eyes, pure hatred burning in them. "I see what you are. You're a light mage. Like hell your stupid, pathetic plans will work in the darkness. I can barely feel it." Syana just gave the woman a weak smile as she heard those words of malice. With her hood over her face, it was safe to say that she was clearly feeling off, but she wasn't going to show anyone just yet. A bit of rest would do nobody harm. Holding onto her staff, she turned to see what everyone else was doing. "Why not kill me? Why not hurt me? How is this going to stop me? It feels like it'll break any time now and you're stood there worried about everyone else? What's the matter with you?" Syana's eyes moved back towards the woman, the memory of the man who was sick floated aloof in her mind for a brief amount of time before she faced the woman with a saddened gaze, lowering her eyes to the floor. "I don't kill for fun. I see no need for violence."

The men were bewildered by the spinning wheels, trying to find a way to get past them without getting hit. Unfortunately for them, Kasumi watched as Maddox rose from the shadows and ensnared the larger guy. While impressive, the other thief turned his head towards Maddox, sword at the ready.
"Get the hell off him!" The lanky man yelled, raising his sword. At that moment, Kasumi stopped the wind wheels from spinning and launched one at him, slashing him in the face. Recoiling from the attack, he barely had time to get his bearings straight before Kasumi launched the other wind wheel at him, slashing him once again.
Kasumi's onslaught continued as she repeatedly slashed the man, alternating her wind wheels with each strike. Eventually, she had the wind wheels attack the man at the same time, throwing them into his chest and causing him to fly backwards, smashing into a wall and falling unconscious.
Though Syana seemed to have dealt with the woman well, Kasumi still continued to sing, the wind wheels threateningly spinning around the lady and Syana as if daring her to try anything. Kasumi could feel the song beginning to end though and she hoped that they would finish off soon.
"You're pathetic." The woman retorted, spitting in Syana's face. The woman struggled in her bonds a little more, glaring at her captor. She could feel the magic slowly starting to ebb away, an effect of a light mage trying to use her magic in near complete darkness.
"They're gonna come off soon" The thief retorted in a sing-song voice, chuckling evily. "And once they do, you're dead meat." She didn't notice the wind wheels moving towards her, her focus mainly on the light mage in front of her.

Since Kasumi distracted the thinner thief, Maddox was free to deal with the big guy that he had snared with his shadows. The man had started throwing snowballs at him, which Maddox guessed was some sort of lame snow magic that was either borderline useless or a skill he was too stupid to use, but the assassin dodged them with ease. Unsurprisingly, a man that was strung upside-down by an ankle didn't really have great aim.
Growing bored, and also not wanting to keep his attention away from the other two for too long, the shadow holding the man crawls up the wall, then to the ceiling.
And then it let him go.
The big guy hit the floor with a mighty thud and, though he was breathing, didn't so much as twitch where he lay.
"Well, that was rather anti climatic." Maddox admitted, stepping over the unconscious man as he made his way towards the woman that was fighting Syana. He didn't yet step into the fight, choosing to allow the others to try to take down the woman since they probably needed combat experience a lot more than he did.

Syana's gaze did not once falter despite the profuse amount of pain in her head, as the woman stood there and spat in her face; All Syana could do was lift one hand to her cheek bone and wipe away the woman's saliva. She held the staff close, it being her only source of balance. "They're gonna come off soon" The woman's malevolent voice rung Syana's ears and she just nodded as she watched the chains falter. The darkness soon wrapping around them and enveloping them. ""And once they do, you're dead meat." The words sounded so hateful, but Syana didn't care. Once those words were said, she steadied herself and spread out her arms; her staff falling with a loud thunk to the ground. The second that hit the ground, the chains broke and the woman snapped free from the grasp of the chains. The chains disappeared into a gossamer trail and she found herself watching the woman run towards her. Syana stood there watching. She wasn't going to fight, violence in her eyes were not the resolution. With her hands at the ready beside her and the pain in her head, she found herself waiting for the attack. Her head low ready to embrace the attack, but it seemed like the attack never happened. The woman had fallen to the ground with a thud, her dagger spinning across the floor and clunking into Syana's staff. Snoring soundly, the smashed woman led there in a pool of her own spit in that brief time she had passed out. Lifting her head, Syana's eyes moved around the room towards the two bodies and looking up at Maddox and Kasumi with a glance that stated she didn't necessarily approve with their tactics.
With the smashed woman snoring, she propped her up against the bar and stood up. "I can't say that killing was the... BEST way to go about it..." She whispered, her hand tracing through the woman's black hair before letting it fall down against her chest.

Kasumi stopped singing once the danger had passed. She didn't really know how to feel. Elated that they completed the quest? Angry at Syana for risking her life when she seemed to be in at lease some sort of pain? The darkness probably wasn't helping her powers either. Still, they completed the mission, though they did mess up the bar quite a bit.
"They're not dead, they're just unconscious." Kasumi casually responded, moving over towards Syana. "At least, my one is. Not too sure about Maddox." Kasumi took a glance at the man Maddox had knocked out. He didn't look dead. There were no severe wounds or blood dripping out anywhere, so she assumed for the moment he was fine. She turned back to Syana, crossing her arms.
"In any case, you need to be more careful Syana. If she hadn't drunk so much, she probably would've hurt you." She let out a sigh, scratching her head as she looked at the scene around her. Truth be told, things probably could've been much worse. There were a few upturned tables and broken glasses, but it wasn't anything that couldn't be cleaned up.
"Right now, we should tie these people up so that they can't run away. Then we should make at least a bit of an effort to clean up. We can turn them in afterwards. It's not like they're going anywhere anytime soon." It wasn't a job Kasumi wanted to do necessarily, but she knew if they didn't do it, some other person was going to be stuck with the job. They were part of the reason this mess happened in the first place, they might as well do a bit of cleaning.
