The golden plain spread level, golden-tawny grass and golden green wheat checker-boarded in a pattern as wide as the world. You could see blue in every direction to the horizon; where it met with the golden color of the wheat. All that punctuated the dichromatic scheme was the odd lonely tree and the long strands of cloud being dragged across the sky by the wind.
There's nothing to see out here, but open plains. I've gotten here before Riley because I had to take car of a few things (mainly get some new medication). It shouldn't be that hard to find me because I'm standing to a very old tree that is often used as a landmark. The tree is taller than any building in south Fiore and tourist often come here to check it out. However, since the outbreak we've haven gotten much tourist so it will be fine.
I'm dressed in my all black dress clothes that I hope it leaves a good impression on Riley. I'm sitting down beneath the tree while practicing card trick magic, but still on a beginner level. Besides me is a small water bottle that I've been drinking. “I might tell her at the end of the date.” {I wouldn't do that. Who would even like a scrub like you?} “Ok...”

After parting ways with Aether, Riley had escorted Atlas to the forest to burn some time before depositing her jacket at the inn and doubling back around to head towards the amusement park. It didn't take her long to get anywhere because of her magic, so burning time was a particularly boring task for her, all things considered.
Still, she now stood on the ground of the amusement park, watching a Ferris wheel slowly spinning around. She was sort of amazed that the people could enjoy themselves so soon after the tragedy of the plague, but she supposed that was really the only way to keep surviving life. Move on, forget the past, hope better things lay ahead.
Despite her surroundings, her thoughts were somewhat on the depressed side of the scale as she exhaled and shook her head - heading of towards the predetermined meeting place in order to find her friend. Rubbing at her pale, bare arms, she let her hands fall to her side as she spied a lone man sitting on the bench before the tree that he had mentioned. Coming around to approach him from the side, she stopped a few feet short of him, hand on her hip and head tilted slightly to the side.
"Looks like I'm under dressed." She remarked upon noticing the suit that he was wearing. To the amusement park.
Maybe he missed his fine clothes after being stuck in the plague for so long?

I look over, and see Riley approaches me while commenting that she's under dressed. I stand up to my feet and smile at her. “I would not say that as you look lovely as always,” I commented but not realizing that might be too direct. Last time I did that she grew uncomfortable with me. She evened ran away from me. Oh god, I do not know what I do if she ran away from me again. We are some distance from the amusement park, but honestly we are still within the realm.
Maybe I should keep it a secret that it's my magic creating everything? It's a good surprise for later I guess, but there might be others here. This version is none combat so I have a hard time keeping track of movements. Additionally, this version anyone can enter and leave when they want. I stuck the play cards into my pocket. “Today, everything is free! We can enter, drink, eat, or whatever! Anything that you can 'imagine' is here.”
If you think about it, this amusement park is completely weird and out-of-place. It never existed until now and it's a bit far from town. If you also think about it, who has ever heard of everything being free? It's completely absurd, but I hope Riley doesn't pick anything up and enjoy herself. In this reality marble, I can make thousands of Fakes that are physical; so it's hard to detect anything that is wrong with this setting. The only thing that I fear is ghosts of the world, such as Joker showing up or something else. “I'll leave you in charge for the first thing that we do.”

Riley blanched slightly at Aether's comment. "Well, I guess I can't possibly look any worse than the first time you met me." She eventually replied, bringing her hands together and lacing her fingers behind her back, she watched him carefully, in a manner not entirely dissimilar to how she eyed her opponent up in a fight - though she wasn't carrying herself aggressively, she watched him warily, uncertain of something.
"My choice first..." She mused after shaking her head and meandering along. She watched a few of the taller rides, looking contemplative. "I've never actually been to one of these before." She admitted, trailing off as she wandered a few feet away, something having caught her eye. In a way, her magic probably ruined such things for her, as it was hard to find sitting in a moving box to be thrilling when she could fly through the air, free as a bird - only much faster.
Eventually, her walking brought her to two buildings of sorts, which sat side by side. While one read 'Haunted House', the other read 'Tunnel of Love'. Arching a brow at the latter, Riley turned back to Aether. "Care to give this a go before we try the rides?" She asked, pointing to the haunted house.

Riley looks me down while lacing her fingers behind her back. I'm wondering why she's looking at me like that. Maybe she's onto me and know this world is completely made up? Shit, maybe I should have done a traveling circus or something?! Or perhaps I messed up big time and she notice a glitch in the world? I wouldn't be that stupid to do that, no I'm pretty sure I am.
Riley appears amuse about picking the first thing we that we do. She looks into the distance and observe the amusement park. I watch her beautiful green eyes roam the area while she mutters about never being on the taller rides. With her magic, I already know that was a bust, but I didn't add them then it be quite odd to think this was amusement park.
Finally she points out into the distance. My eyes drift onto the love tunnel, and my face goes a bit reddish! Could this be it?! She's actually confessing to me right here, now?! Yes, I've done iiiiiiiit! However, I finally see what she's actually pointing at, the Haunted house! My face turns back to normal and I let out a soft sigh.“Damn it” I mutter silently. “I'm good, but I'm not very good with scary stuff,” I admitted.
I walk up to the haunted house and the building looks like it came from my own nightmares. Why did I even add this building to this world? I mean, I really don't handle scary things very well, but if I tone it down then it be quite lame. If I end up pissing myself then that be lame of me too. Lose lose situation for me, damn it. I should turn it into a love tunnel as we walk in, but then Riley might just think of it as a joke or prank. “I'll let you lead this and stick behind you.” I have no choice, but let it play out and hope it won't be as bad as I think it will.

Aether 'revealed' that he couldn't deal with scary stuff well - and given the time that they had spent together, she had come to that conclusion and many more on her own. "I'll protect you." She reassured, raising a hand and gesturing for him to follow as she made her way towards the entrance of the haunter house.
Pulling the door open, it let out an eerie creak that set the mood, and the moment that the door was shut behind them the room was cast into nearly complete darkness aside a dim light that shone up ahead.
"I guess we're supposed to go that way?" She asked, trudging forwards. She hadn't taken even three steps when the room filled with some sort of grey cloud, blinding them. When this happened, the white light in the distance became brighter, as though beckoning them towards it. "Aether?" She asked, reaching out to try to grasp onto him through the cloud. She couldn't exactly see him, but she could sense his magic presence and had a general idea of where he was. Figuring he was probably scared, she intended to take his arm to comfort him - failing to realize that being grabbed in the fog would probably just scare the life out of him all the more.

Riley assurances me she'll protect me as she waves me to go inside. “P-please do,” I stutter out. Riley does a hand gesture for me to follow pursuit of her. Maybe I can persuade her to go somewhere else, like merry-go-around, or the love tunnel. Yeah, the love tunnel would be a great place for us to 'get to know' each other better. Of course, I'm too much of a coward to suggest that and too stupid actually to make this building.
I walk inside, and staying close to Riley. A nightmare in my eyes and mind without ever having to sleep. The dry winds carrying their strangled screams and faint voices in the background. The flashes of light in the darkness. There's sound of doors constantly opening and closing their gaping maws from somewhere. “Yea-yeah,” I replied in a frighten voice. Aether, you're a man and you need to step up like one!
Barely three steps Barely three steps that wewe take when suddenly we're surrounded with gray cloud, blinding our view. There's light out in the distance that's becoming brighter. I hear Riley voice calling my name, but I am a bit too scared to reply. You might be wondering why I created this building or even scared when I made it? Because as a child I went to one, and didn't work out well for me. I remember having nightmares for weeks in result of it. I've made this entire building in memory of those nightmares.
I feel Riley arm touching me and I let out a small frighten squeal. I quickly realize it's Riley. “I-I'm here.” I feel Riley grasping my shirt and I keep pace with her. I look to my right and see a demonic ghost face girl. “EEEEKKKKKK!!!!!!” Out of reflex, I grab onto Riley arm and jump into her like a frighten child.

Guiding Aether through the smoke with a firm grip of his shirt, hoping to navigate him through the building without further incident, Riley squinted at the white light that lured them closer, her green eyes darting around occasionally as she heard sounds and tried to steer Aether away from someone that was attempting to grab or swat at him.
Unfortunately, her efforts were in vain, as Aether was soon screaming and suddenly jumping into her, forcing her to catch him or let him fall flat on his backside - something she was not nearly mean enough to do. Catching him princess style, with an arm around his back and another under his knees, Riley peered at him for a moment, resisting the urge to chuckle as she turned her eyes forwards once more, she carried him along rather gracefully despite the added weight.
"I didn't realize it would effect you so much." She admitted, sounding as though she felt somewhat guilty. You could have said no, I wouldn't have been man." Weaving through the fading fog, she sidestepped a 'ghost' that attempted to grab them with a delicate twirl that was not unlike the movements of a dancer. Dodging and ducking her way through the haunted house without so much as a whimper of fear despite the sights and sounds, Riley smiled to herself as she eventually spied a red 'exit' sign flashing up ahead of them.
Pushing the door open with a foot since both of her hands were full, she stepped out into the open once more, greeted by the natural light of dusk. Gently setting him down on his feet once more, she dusted off her palms. "There. I told you I'd protect you."

Thankfully, Riley catches me and carry me princess style as I cower in fear. She comments how she didn't think I react to this and wouldn't be mean. “I-I want you to have fun.” I replied. “If it me-ans that you get to have fun. I do-n't mind.” I say this despite shivering in fear and I close my eyes. Riley moves around effortlessly and every scary thing that she encounters. I cannot help but be amazed how graceful she's moving.
We finally make it to the red door and escape the nightmare house. Riley puts me down and I move close to the wall and lean my head onto the wall while breathing heavy. As long that she's having fun, I'm willing to go through another haunted house, but I REALLY hope that we don't. Not sure if my heart can take that.
Giving myself a few minutes to calm myself down and regain my composer. I'm feeling a bit shameful in how I reacted as my face turn bright red. “ I regret that I'm chagrined of my actions while inside the haunted house.” I scratch my nose while my face is still a bit red. I give some thought and I guess it's my turn. “Uh, it's my turn, right?” I better change things and think of something! If it's roller coaster, I don't have a problem with. However, it's unlikely Riley will enjoy that with her own magic so it's a bit challenging.
A light ball brightens up in my head as I think of a wonderful idea. “Let's go to the petting zoo! They have puppies, kittens, and baby birds. For example, I hear they have baby owls.” Of course, they have any birds that I want them to have, but owls is the only thing that I know she likes. So, by seeing how she reacts to the other animals will give some more insight. I hope that this play out in my favor. I wave my hand in a gesture similar to how she did to me earlier to signal follow me as I make my way to the petting zoo.

Watching Aether leaning against the wall, gasping for breath, Riley couldn't help but feel guilty about having ever suggested the haunted house in the first place. Giving him a sympathetic pat on the back she soon backed off, giving him some space since she assumed he would want it. Telling herself that she should have known better, she frowned softly, watching his blushing face for a few moments before letting her eyes drift elsewhere in thought.
Nodding as he asked if it was his turn, Riley laced her fingers together behind her back, falling into silence and waiting for him to make up his mind, she slowly returned her attention to him once more as she awaited his answer - which was apparently the petting zoo. She was kind of surprised that such a place had a petting zoo, but then she had never been to a park like this and she had nothing to compare it to. Three years ago the park hadn't been there, she idly recalled, glancing around at all of the rides and wondered if someone had assembled it all with magic. However, her attention soon drew back to Aether.
"Oh, they have owlets?" The dark haired young woman asked, curiosity peaked. "It's been a long time since I've seen any of those." Sounding thoughtful. She probably hadn't seen any since her time in the assassin's guild, which -thankfully- felt like a lifetime ago.
With his gesture to follow, she hurried after him, green eyes dancing a little as they went, searching for other rides or attractions that they might enjoy - preferably something they would both enjoy, she noted, glancing back at the haunted house.

As we head to the petting zoo, there's screaming and cheering from people enjoying the rides. As we pass by the roller coasters, we can hear chugging machinery that clanking chains as the rides burst that passes us and then squealing brakes to stop the ride. You can hear some crying from little children who may not be enjoying themselves or crying over spilled milk sort of deal.
The air is filled with the smell of cotton candy, popcorn, french fries, grease, and sugar. I look around, and see where the smells are coming from the stands nearby and they're making me hungry. I can imagine myself eating cotton candy and sharing a bag of popcorn with Riley. My thought drifts off into me and her sharing an ice cream together, but of course, I kick myself out of fantasy land right away. “How about after the zoo we pick up some food, ” I suggest to Riley as we pass by the food court.
We arrive at the petting zoo section and there're several animals to pet. Right away is an area for cats and dogs, I reach out my hand out to pet some of the dogs and puppies. Puppies run over while barking at me and slobber all over my hands. On another side is the kittens and I reach my hand out and they begin rubbing against my hand, though most of them are giving me the “if you want to pet us, come to us” look. “Well, what can you expect from cats?”
There's a building up ahead and the sound of loud chirping birds are heard. I run up to the door and reach for the door handle. The door handle metal is cold the touch as I pull open. I open the door and let Riley to go inside first as I follow behind her. “I'm guessing you're wanting to see the baby owl's?”

Inhaling the sweet scent of spun sugar, Riley glanced around, wondering if they had different colors of cotton candy. It was a childish preference, but she would rather have blue than pink, for some reason, if only because it was probably her favorite color. Either way, she hoped she didn't make a mess with it the way that she had last time. As it turned out, eating cotton candy on a windy day was a pretty bad idea, since it ended up getting in her hair and on her clothes - not to mention she got her fingers all sticky trying to get it out of her hair.
"Food sounds good." She agreed, nodding while inwardly deciding that maybe she shouldn't have cotton candy so that she didn't look like a pig in front of Aether.
Ah, but it was so good...
Swallowing hard, she followed him towards the petting zoo, bending over the railing slightly to let her fingers trail along a kittens back. "Maddox loves kittens." She absently remarked, smiling gently as another came over to rub against her fingers. She was about to pick one up when Aether suddenly ran off towards a nearby building that sounded as though it was filled with birds. Following after him, she slipped into the offered door, green eyes dancing.
"I'd like to see the owlets." She confirmed, glancing back to him. "Have you ever seen one? They're so fluffy and cute. I still remember when Atlas was an owlet, he just looked like a big dust bunny because he was so pudgy and fluffy." Chuckling at the memory, she wandered a little ways into the building, wondering which way the owls were.

It's a good thing that I did some research and got as much information as I can about them. I even went out of my way to see some of them just for this. By Riley excitement and rant over them, I'm going to score some points! “Just once a little while ago, I did. I just came across them by chance thought. I'm glad you're excited,” I commented while looking around to find where I put them. My eyes gaze around the hall for a bit as I see a variety of birds, which I placed in if she wants to see them as well.
I have a bunch of fakes in the hallway looking at the different animals and petting some. To make sense, they all are small animals and not violent type. Animals that are easy to get close with one and hand touch them without worry of being attacked. Of course, I made sure that each one of them are cute as they possibly can. I look up at the ceiling to find informative signs. Finally, I see birds section and head towards that section. “It seems to be this way, ” I said to Riley.
I walk down the path for birds and finally found Owls. I can hear a lot of chirping from owls from outside the door. I open the door and see several baby owls. You can see “fake” children feeding and playing with the birds. Some children are laughing and some are a bit scared while asking questions about them. Inside looks like a barn with a bunch of trees planted into the ground. There are bird treats provided to feed the owls. It does not appear to be any risk of the owls of leaving the area. So, I hold the door open for Riley as I then follow behind her inside. “Here we are, my lady.” I tease while giving her a butler bow to her.

Taking her time to look at various animals as they passed, Riley's eyes wandered between the cute little critters, taking them all in. Absently watching some children as they observed the animals, she smiled to herself before looking towards Aether at his announcement that he found the way that they were supposed to be going. Stalking after him a bit slowly as she glanced at displays as they passed, she finally caught up to him as he reached the owlery and opened the door for her.
Mentally making note of the fact that Aether had gone from making crude 'compliments' to holding doors open for her, she laughed a little to herself. "Thank you." In passing, while he was bowed to her, she playfully ruffled his hair. "You're silly." She told him, entering the room and immediately letting out a gasp as she spied it.
The cutest, fluffiest, softest looking owlet she had ever seen was fast asleep in the corner of a glass tank. Pressing up against the glass, resting her palms to it, her eyes looked between the sleeping ball of fluff and its siblings, which were not entirely happy to have guests. "So cute... Baby snowy owls..." She whispered, green eyes practically sparking.
"The only place I liked about my old guild was the owlery. All of the grown and baby owls stayed there when they weren't busy. It was noisy and kind of smelled but owls are so graceful and beautiful..." She quietly murmured, finally letting her eyes drift around the room to look at the other exhibits.

I scratch the top of my nose as Riley ruffle up my hair while smirking at her. The moment Riley enters the owlet, she gasped. She seems so happy while looking at the baby owls. Her eyes sparkles as she looks at each one of them. “You get so cute when you talk about owls.” I mutter out, barely while blushing a little. I suddenly gain an idea as I reach over to one of the closed cases and open it up. The little puffs fly over to Riley and would land on her shoulders.
“Oh, it looks like they're naturally drawn to you,” I commented to Riley. The baby owls would nibble at her hair and ear. If Riley allows them, they will naturally huddle up against her head and drift into content sleep. Even if at a petting zoo, most birds won't do this with strangers, they might get used to humans. Even let them feed their bird treats, but do this entire action is a bit unheard of for birds. They will only do this with people they feel like they can trust, so I'm having a small hand into this.
“Remember, it's illegal to sneak them out of the park,” I tease at Riley. If she did do that, then they would poof out of thin air. Only small things able taken out of here and stay real, such as clothing or food. Living things like owls or fake will not exist out of this realm. It's unlikely that Riley will try to pull that sort of thing, so it's not a problem. I begin to roam the room and give treats to the other owls. I take my time to let us both play around. After a long period of time, I look at Riley to where she wants to do next. “Your turn, Riley. What do you want to do now?”
