I'm standing on top of a warehouse roof with Syana over my back. The roof is made of metal tiles and won't break apart from easily. There are a bunch of buildings nearby that I can jump on top of without effort. I'm several buildings away from Reika and Kasumi so their fight won't interfere with me and Maddox. Up here, it's like looking down at the world. You can see the trees, and many busy people going on about the day. Up here it's like standing on a giants back exploring the world with awe.
They say that stressors aren't positive or negative, it's all in how you see it, in how your in-built nature responds. The flock of birds in the sky that late fall day certainly proved that way for me. I look up and see a choreographed dance, hundreds of sparkling souls swooping in the chilled air. I look down at Syana and wonder what she would have to say about all of this. Until Maddox, arrives, I think I will have a small chat with her, unable to speak back.
“Girl, you might just get out of this alive. Unlike Reika, all of this is only for fun for me. The way that I am now, I might just lose this fight.” I let out a small chuckle in amusement. “Reika is fighting to win, but not me. I don't care one way or the other, I don't have that sort of pride in myself, nor do I feel shame in losing or feel shame for my actions. I simply do what I want and when I want. This is what Phantom Cloak stand for, freedom!” I hear a bang noise from nearby, most likely it's from Maddox making his way over here. I remember all his rage and bloodlust towards me. He must truely hate me right now, but oh well. “However, to fight an opponent who has nothing to lose is pretty scary, while your boyfriend has everything to gain.”

So being taken away from the warehouse was one thing, but the next Syana found herself sitting upon the roof stark naked and once again being manhandled by a brute. As she was placed on the ground, the sound of birds singing ahead as they flew by in a synchronised manner caused Syana to look around. Clearly the moon was setting and the sun would be up. The atmosphere began to feel really heavy and Syana picked up tension from the atmosphere and she looked around, the cool breeze touching and caressing her skin. It was then she realised she was wearing nothing more than her birthday suit. Looking down at her body, she tried to crawl awkwardly away despite her body burning and aching everywhere. Blood had dried over her body and her wounds stung in the cold air.
Lifting her fingers carefully up to her lips, she traced her fingers over her the stitches and began to pry at them; pulling them slowly out with great difficulty, wincing at the pain. “Girl, you might just get out of this alive. Unlike Reika, all of this is only for fun for me. The way that I am now, I might just lose this fight.” Syana froze on the spot, fingers clutched to the twine on her lips and she blinked. Was he scared of her? "Reika is fighting to win, but not me. I don't care one way or the other, I don't have that sort of pride in myself, nor do I feel shame in losing or feel shame for my actions. I simply do what I want and when I want. This is what Phantom Cloak stand for, freedom!” Her arms and body were shaky and she didn't have much strength left, needless to say she wasn't embarrassed that she was sat in nothing more than just her skin, but she felt comfortable with it. "However, to fight an opponent who has nothing to lose is pretty scary, while your boyfriend has everything to gain.” He spoke up, Syana looked onward towards the sky while ignoring the arguing between the magic this man cast with her and common sense, Syana found herself feeling a mixture of love and hate for the very man who had clearly started to hunt Zeno down.
Cringing between each pull of the thread from her dislocated, sewn jaw; she let the last of it slide through the holes made in her lips. She felt really defeated and weak. She wanted to fall off the edge of the building; her head was pulsating and her heart was pulsating blood around her head at a high rate causing her head to hurt. Next she wanted to stand up, her legs unsteady. She wasn't able to grab onto anything to help her, but she managed to summon her staff with the small amount of strength she had and force herself to stand up. While holding on tightly to the staff, she took a slow deep breath and looked down at her body. With every ounce of strength she had, she lifted her hand and let feathers fly out of her hand. They began to envelope her body and form a sort of makeshift armour. She stood there breathing heavily and looking across the area once more. Her head was killing her, her body was hurting her, her mind was so conflicted.

[Sorry for the delay guys. ] Maddox had always been light on his feet, but the sense of urgency he felt when Syana disappeared from his sight spurned him to reach speeds that he was sure he had never before come close to. He darted out of the building in a flash of black, having practically forgotten about Kasumi entirely as he burst into the open and craned his neck upwards when he heard the footsteps. Getting to the rooftops was no trouble at all for a man such as himself, he practically did it in a single bound that created a loud sound and dented the metallic roofing. It didn't take all too long for him to spy Syana and Zenos a few rooftops away and he slowed his pace as he started crossing the rooftops, uncertain as to whether or not Zenos would harm Syana if he got too close to them. Stopping at the far end of the same roof that they were on, he kept his daggers at his sides, his knuckles clenched tightly around the hilts as his eyes settled on Syana for a few long moments, softening, before drifting to Zenos and becoming murderous once more. "This is the end of the line." He warned, his deep voice echoing in the empty space around them. Scanning the two, he noticed Syana was far enough from Zenos to be out of their way. Good. He could get where he needed to be. Seeming to melt into the roof, his shadow skimmed across the surface and between Zenos' legs. Once behind him, separating the man from Syana, he popped out of the shadow once more - rearing to fight it out, judging by the upward arc that he brought the daggers into as soon as his hands were out of the shadow.

I hear a deep and angry voice not too far off, and I can assume who it belongs to, Maddox. I have him in my sight, and boy is he mad at me. Despite the distance between us, I can feel from his voice alone, his hatred and murderous intent. It sends a cold chill down my spine and causes me to tense up. “Hey old buddy,” I shouted out to Maddox across several roofs away. “Me and Syana were just talking about you, how are you?”
I see Maddox suddenly melt into the roof and disappear from my field of view. “Huh,” I stumble out in confusion. Now where did he go exactly? No, what I should be thinking is where he's going to strike me from? He used to come from some sort of assassin guild, and they're known being sneaky. Just as I thought that, I see a shadow rising from the corner of my eye. I put the pieces together what is going on instantly and begin moving my body.
The blade rises up and I create a spin motion with my body, but not quick enough it seems. I feel the cold edge steel-cut through my jacket to my upper back. As I spin around, I'll attempt to round house kick him in the face. He maybe trained to be an assassin, but I'm trained in every sort of hand to hand martial art you can think of! After attempting to see a counter attack, I back flip a few meters away from him, creating about eight meters of distance. I reach up and take off my jacket and throw it to the side and put myself in a martial art fighting stance. On my back, I feel the throbbing pain of where Maddox cut me. There's a blood stain on the back of my shirt and warm crimson liquid running from the wound.
Thankfully, it's only skin deep and nothing too serious. It seems Maddox main goal was to create distance between me and Syana to keep her safe, how noble. I give zero fucks about her at this point and smirk at Maddox. “Ha, look at you playing hero. However, I can give a damn about you playing super hero. I'm going to kick your ass, and then I'm going to take your bitch home with me. After that, I might give your dear sister a visit,” I provoked. I'm going to piss him off so much that he's going to blind in rage. To point his bitch won't recognize him and want nothing to do with him. From there, I'll obtain true victory!

Maddox's felt his blade hit his mark, if only slightly. He could feel the sharp daggers drag through clothing and along flesh, carving gashes up Zenos' back. The warm droplets that touched his hands somehow brought him a sense of delight, but he wasn't allowed to linger on this though as Zenos spun around in a kick that was aimed at his face. A fruitless endeavor, given the speed that he had already demonstrated, but Zenos did managed to put distance between the two of them again, even if his kicked missed when Maddox sank into a shadow enough to avoid taking it to the face.
He had to admit, that definitely didn't seem like a random kick executed by someone that didn't know what they were doing. If he hadn't expected some sort of retaliation he probably would of had his nose broken for sure.
Still, he had been expecting a magical attack, not a physical one.
Eye narrowing as Zenos started to babble again, Maddox flicked some blood off of his daggers. At first Zenos words irked him, but in time he came to realize that the guy was just talking out of his ass. Bringing his sister into the mix might of sounded like a dick move, but the fact remained that he had been standing in her shadow for years. Her strength trumped him by a landslide and unless Zenos was just toying around with him, he doubted he would be able to do much to a mage of Riley's caliber.
So far, besides picking on mages without combat experience and a single kick, he really hadn't demonstrated any particular strengths.
"I bet you think you are pretty clever, mn?" He finally spoke up, his voice calm, cold, void of emotion, closer to the man he used to bed than the man that he had become. Maddox spun a dagger in his palm, his green eyes fixed upon Zenos' face.
Below Zenos, his shadow began to move, thick tendrils of darkness stretching out, trying to get a good grip on him - aiming for his wrists and ankles in particular to hinder his movements. While the shadow moved, chasing Zenos wherever he might go as it was his own shadow, Maddox hurtled one of his daggers towards Zenos' torso - a much broader target than a head, as tempting as it was to try to sever his from his body.
[Spell Name: Shadow Subjugation Level: B Range: Shadow; 15 feet. Description: From the depths of the selected shadow, tentacles of darkness begin to slither forth, attempting to bind the target of the attack by the wrists, ankles and throat - though if all else fails they will grasp onto whatever part of the body that they can catch. Once their prey is within their grasp, they will squeeze mercilessly - unless Maddox is feeling particularly devious, in which case an additional tentacle or two will spawn and tickle his opponent into submission. Drawback: Assuming it's not the dead of a moonless night, they are pretty easy to see coming and have the misfortune of being particularly weak against light based spells, even by the standards of dark magic.]

My attack had missed him completely, but I've created some distance between us. I watch Maddox flick my blood off his dagger. Finally, he is responding to my taunts, but now he's a lot calmer compare to before, how boring. What he doesn't know is that I specialize in emotion and mind control. I'll make him angry; I'll make him hate me, and I make him conceited! I begin sensing magic coming from my shadow? I didn't think he could use my shadow like that, but I find this even more boring. Here I was thinking we were going to have a manly fight and use our fist! Well, me vs Maddox pussy ass dagger. “You're quite a boring person! A real man uses close quarter combat,” I said in response to his spell. As his tendrils spread out, I somersault flip over them to dodge, in I see a dagger coming towards me and at my body. I'm finding trouble to deal with both, but I manage this much. The blade zips by me, and I send forth a kick to parry it away from me. I begin swirling magic around myself and creating a large number of transparent white piranhas. As I land upon the ground, on my feet, the floating piranhas are already attacking the shadow magic and quickly devours them down. Despite my spell is actually eating his spell, I'm not regaining my magic back from it. However, he doesn't know that! “Thanks for the meal,” I said grinning at him while drooling a little. Once the fishes finish with the shadow spell, I change their color to red. There're many of them for me to use and able to split up my attack. They turn their focus towards Maddox and begin charging towards him aggressively. If he thinks, my only target is him, he's surely mistaken! Once they get within three meters of him, the fishes split up into two waves. One is heading to devour Maddox, and the second is heading towards Syana. “I'll make you pay for being a coward!” Magic Sense
The user can sense magical energy around them. Even if someone is who hidden in a crowd the user can pin point their location. The user can also sense magical objects and invisible magical energy. To sense something invisible is impossible in battle because the user needs to stop and focus.

All she could do was stand in awe as she watched the fight take place, Maddox seemingly to have the upper hand and catch Zeno off guard and surprise him by the black-haired's expertise. Syana found herself clutching onto the staff and the cold touching her exposed skin despite the feathered armour being of some protection to her. She wanted to be of some use, but she wasn't sure what she could do. Her head was spinning, she felt nauseated and in a whole lot of pain which she dared not to reveal to either of them. Her green eyes closed and when she opened them slowly, Maddox was near her. Looking towards him, it seemed he was going to win until Zeno summoned fish that seemed to be swimming in a pack towards Maddox before their colours changed and split into two. The second pack now making their way towards Syana and quickly. She looked side to side in panic before closing her eyes and exhaling.
"Don't let it touch you!" A voice cried in her head and acting on a whim, three coins formed in her hand and she threw them to the floor. Three creatures sprouted from them, their eyes focused on the fish. "I don't think so, honey." The first of the creatures, a harpy snarled as it leaped into the air and spun around; sending a blast of wind at the fish and as it landed its blast the fish would be separated into two. The harpy stood there with a wide smirk on her masked face; her blue eyes blazing with fury and defiance. "I dare you to try again." Her gaze shifted towards Syana before moving forward. The small rabbit-like creature with antlers shifted its gaze towards Maddox and Zeno before rearing on its hind legs. The Jackalope squeaked its disgust, hopping on the spot and causing the roof to tremble and shake. Bits of tiling and roof began to crumble and fall either side while the coin stayed put with the creature itself on top of it. The third of the three creatures stood tall and proud, its emerald stone-cold gaze focused on the two men with a judgemental leer. The Qilin's eyes focused on Zeno, if he dared anything; he would be in for a nasty surprise.
Spell Name: Coins of Divinity
Type: Angel
Level: A
Range: 40 feet
Description: Syana summons three golden coins and separates her magic power into all three of the creatures. The three creatures are meant to resemble Beauty, cunning and sin. They often form a Harpy, Qilin and a Jackalope. They may be stationery, but they're all offensive. The harpy will send out waves of wind which can knock back things. The Qilin will stare them down and cause them to freeze on the spot and begin to move slowly and the Jackalope will hop on the spot and cause the ground to shake which can disorientate the foes.
Drawback:
These creatures cannot move from their coins. The longer they've been summoned the more magic they drain from Syana. She can't really use any other spells until they disappear which leaves her using either weaker spells or vulnerable. The Qilin's gaze is easy to avoid if the target looks away or avoids the creature itself, its paralysis won't afflict them. If the Qilin's gaze hones on its target, they can break from the stare by their own magic or by blinking even if it's slowed down. It's not very effective against S class.
