[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] Name: Crop Destroyers! My beautiful farm! Rank: D Rules: Help lead these nocturnal creatures away to a new area and come back for your reward. Do not kill any! Description: Finally! Someone to help. My poor cactus farm has been constantly attacked and destroyed by rampant creatures who need a drink. I'm so tired of having to come out each morning and.... YOU GUESSED IT! CACTUS WITH HOLES IN! Two of my three fields are gone, please protect the last one but don't kill the creatures! I never see them so I wouldn't know what they were, but there's loads of little paws in the ground with long snake-like indents right behind them. I need help and I need it like... NOW! I live out in the far of the tear desert. Come talk to me in further details. If you get lost, just follow the nearest mirage. [attr="class","box3"] My pale face was shining with sweat as my thin hand reaches up to brush it away. It felt like I was being cooked alive in this sandy stew that is Tear Dessert. Today I was at the mission board and ggrabbed something at random, wanting to be out of the loud Fairy Tail noise. Now I was traversing Tear Dessert, feeling as if I was about to be burnt to a crisp. A cactus farmer out here was having some trouble with a weird creature eating his cacti, so I came to help. It is a long way from a large mass of people so I was excited at first, until I reached the sand and the sun suddenly seemed more apparant in the sky. I reach the cactus farm, walking towards the entrance, excited to get away from the heat. I had seen a few monsters on my way here, and I was glad I was able to avoid them as they were terrifying and I doubt I could have handled them by myself. Hopefully whatever is eating the Cacti is small and cute, nothing big and scary like the huge monsters I saw on my way here. I sigh from the heat as I reach the door to a house. It looks old fashioned. I feel my hand reach up and knock one time, two times, three times. I then speak, trying to raise my voice from a quiet whisper that I have normally. " Um, I'm from Fairy Tail and I came to help with your problem." Hopefully whoever was inside had heard me, I hate repeating myself because I have to do it so often. I think about the Farmer's request. Don't hurt the animals but protect the last batch of crops, and if I get lose, follow the nearest Mirage. It sure was a strabge request, and I'm glad I didn't get lost in this hot soup. I knock again. " Anyone home!" I say loudly. With the desert showing no signs of a monsoon or at least rain, Zuzuki would have had to travel quite some time on limited supplies if she were to arrive there in time to protect the last batch of cacti. By the time she had arrived at her destination, the first thing she would notice was that this man lived in a ranch that was barricaded by a big metal fence. The sound of cows crying in the barn where they were sheltered from the sun and there was a tractor parked in the shed next to it. There was clearly no sign of grass around them so one could assume this person fed their livestock with cacti and whatever they could make in their house.
The house itself was just a dingy old house. Despite its appearance, it was still standing tall with saloon windows and a stable door had been used as the main door. As she reached up to knock, a faint cry from inside the house seemed to call out "Yeah, whut do ye wunt?" and then with that, the faint sounds of footsteps seem to emit from inside the house with the occasional creaking of the floorboards. When she knocked again, the voice sounded louder. "Eh! Dang it youn' un. I'm on me way okay?!" As he unlocked the hatch and opened the door, the first thing Zuzu would see is his face was decrepit and old with his cheeks hanging lower than his jaw and his eyes half lidded. He was hunched over with a hand on his back and another on the cane wearing some torn, filthy dungarees. "Fairy Tail ye say? Ah ye here for them pests that be eating me cacti!?" With a cry of happiness, he beckoned her in and slowly walked into the building. "This way, this way. My cacti fields are all messy because of them critters. I sleep early in the day so I ne'er see 'em at night." With a sigh, he scratched his back and continued to slowly walk across the room, passing the kitchen and pushing the door open.
Using the wall as his support, he leaned back and pointed towards the cacti fields. Tapping his tongue against the roof of his mouth, he tried to wet his lips. "Me wife needs the water to survive. Livin' out here on the desert is the best I can do to avoid them nasty people who thrive in that town. These cacti fields are my home, my money making, my... Eh.. What that word..." Shrugging, he looked over towards the field fondly. "Please lil' missy. Protect me final field. I beg you." With a quick glance towards the clock, he shrugged. "They'll be here soon enough. That there sun is setting." With a yawn, he turned and walked slowly in before sitting down in his seat and stretching out his legs. "I'm tired. Wake me when they come will ya?" With those words said, he threw his head back and began to snore.
The sun bore up in the sky as it made its way slowly across the dunes; clearly reaching the last few hours of its prime time. Why not go and inspect the cacti and see if you can get any clues to what may or may not be destroying them. Maybe even examine them up close and find ways to prevent these fiends from destroying the crops.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] The door opens and suddenly I feel like I was in one of those old movies where someone is on a farm. The farm older is a stereotypical old, grouchy man. I feel surprised for a moment, but then quickly regain what little composure I have. I stay quiet as normal as he guides me into his house explaining more of the problem. If he and his wife can't get the water from the cacti they would die of dehydration so it's important that the last of the crops are protected. He says he is going to go to sleep so I start to walk outside slowly, finding the crop area that is the last one left. The sun is starting to set and the heat is lowering rapidly, so now I don't feel as if I am in an oven, now I'm just on top of the stove. I reach the cacti and plop down onto the sandy ground, I curl my hands around my knees and wait, and watch as the sun dips down into the colorful sky. The desert is actually beautiful when it's not burning hot. Maybe when I'm older I will come out here and live out my days. I get bored soon and the desert is now only barely lit up. I stand up and move to inspect the other crops to see what exactly went wrong with them. My legs sluggishly move towards them and as I reach them I bend down and stare at it, ready to see what's wrong. I see small holes in the cacti and my head then whips around at a noise. " Mr. Cactus farmer? Is that you?" I say nervously, knowing it can't be. I stand up and get ready to perform the hush spell if anything jumps out and attacks me. If something does I can at least try to slow it down with the only spell I know that would be useful now. I hold off using it though, because I need to find whatever is out there first. With the auburn sky lit night being the only light around for miles, things off in the distance began to look black as the sun cast silhouettes. The faint sound of creatures crying in the distance as they awaken from their slumber began to emit from the the distance to hint that it was pretty much dusk. All that went through the area was a tumble weed.
Seconds seemed to tick by and then small holes back to appear in the ground. Snaking out of them in clutches of five-six were small creatures with long ears, tiny feet and a long bushy tail. Their eyes were black and beady and their nose was a light pink. Squeaking to each other, they reached out their hands to the cactus and began to clamber up them, playing about with every cacti in the field except the ones they haven't touched where Zuzuki was seated clearly trying to figure out what was left in these already destroyed cacti. When they reared up onto their front legs and kicked out with their hind legs into the cacti while avoiding the spines which would quiver and fall off the cacti on impact, they'd hope over to the hole and stick their head in just to try and get water from it. When nothing else came out of their attempt, they jumped off the tree and began to dig around the cacti to see if the roots itself had water. When all else failed, they hopped along in clusters. There was at least 160 of them all hopping along in clusters of six while more began to come out of their burrows in the sand; all squeaking to each other.
The creatures stopped in their tracks and sniffed the air, most of them turning their gaze towards the girl who was on her knees. Exchanging squeaks, they began to approach her; unsure of whether she was a cactus or a real being. With eyesight so bad and curiosity being of their interest, they approached her before squeaking. One bounced up onto her lap, examining her before nipping her. Squeaking a triumphant, proud squeak; the rest jumped on her all at once and began to nip and bite at her. Their jaws tearing into her clothes with each nip.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] My eyes watch for the noise closely, waiting, waiting, waiting, then there! I saw it. Just for a moment. I wait again, and then suddenly a turn around. Noises are coming from the Cacti. My eyes widen in surprise as I see mice like creatures scurrying into the cactus holes. They're so adorable! I am stunned for a few moments from how cute they are! They have huge blue eyes and little tiny legs on which they stand up on. I wtch them for a bit before they bounce on over to me, sniffing me, saying hello to me. Its so adorable. I heard of this island a far way away called Bunny Island, which is swarmed with bunnies and if you put food on yourself and lay down they will swarm over you. That's what this feels like. Then suddenly, I feel a bite. A triumphant squeek, more bites. I scream in pain and I rush upwards, making sure all the cute vermin are off me. I then angrilly use the hush spell to get them to slow down. I put a hand to my lips and say "hush," softly. I feel the dark light of the magic circle ariund vefore it disapears, and I hope it worked on the mice. They should be moving slower and more tiredly now. I take the net I was given and I start looking for the creatures. I quickly sbatch one up, and another, and another. It now feels like the net is starting be full of them. I need to keep my hand tight on it to my sure it doesn't go everywhere with the squirming rats. As I pick up one rat by one I think of a song to myself. A nursery rhyme. Little bunny Foo Foo I don't want to see you scooping up the feild mice and bopping them on the head! I really wish Little Bunny Foo Foo was with me right now to scoop up the squirming mice for me. I sigh and continue stuffing them on by one into the bag. Spell Name: Hush Level: D Range: 50 Feet Description: A small whisper makes it so the targets suddenly feel very tired and their muscles slow down and become sluggish, they can still move but not as fast as normal. Drawback: you cant control it and it hits everyone, even your allies.

The small critters seemed to disagree with the spell, a majority began to feel fatigued and exhausted as they slowed down. Their paws began to tap the ground in objection as the wizard swept them up in a net. They began to squirm repeatedly in the net, biting and attacking the rope as they tried to escape; their tails draping out through the holes while some began to clamber carefully out of the top the more she stuffed in.
The others which were still roaming free began to jump into each other; gradually growing bigger as they merged with one another before standing tall and roaring loudly. The monstrous version of the miniature ones took several steps version and sniffed the net with the smaller ones in. Its eyes moved towards Zuzu and it threw its body around 180 degrees, its tail slamming into Zuzu's side before walking closer towards her. Saliva dripped off its teeth that overlapped its lower lip and its eyes moved down towards the cacti and then towards the girl once more in anger. "Dang gnabbit! Ye darn critter and yer - WHAT THE DEVILS THAT!" The old man stood at the door with his cane, eyes wide in shock as he stared up at the beast.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] I feel amazing as I stuff one rat by one into the bag. That hush spell really did worm. Their movements became slow and choppy. It became easier and easier to pick each up. Suddenly I went stock still as my body processed thr fear before I realized what was going on. I swore silently in my mind. How did they do that? Are these magic mice? Well, obviously they are. They just turned into a huge rat monster. I feel it hit my side and I go soaring into the air, slamming against on of the cacti. Luckily it was one with more holes in it, so I only got a few pricks from the cactus. It still hurt like crazy though. I am about to cast another hush spell, but then I hear the old farmer at his door. " Go back inside!" I order angrily as the mouse bares down on me. I give him a few seconds before whispering to the rat. " Hush." I feel the power from the magic circle around me, casting the spell. I then open the bag slightly, and lunged at the huge rat, attempting to shove it in there with the rest of them. Hopefully it would fit. If not even half inside would do because I have another empty bag by the house's porch. I can use that to cover up it's butt. More of the small creatures began to (slowly) join together as they touched the larger one, its body growing in size before it began to mutate. Its tail lashed side to side and its body grew longer. Standing there with large teeth and dripping saliva, its ears twitched and it threw its head backwards and roared loudly. Taking a step closer to Zuzu, it ignored the spell that she threw at it. Chest heaving as it watched with seething, hate filled eyes. As she threw the bag onto it, it just shook its head side to side and threw the bag aside before taking a few steps back and digging into the ground, its claws creating a crater around it while it burrowed through the snow, its tail wiggling in the air like a worm as it subsided into the sand. The collapsed on itself and covered the hole.
The ground began to shake violently and bits of the house began to fall to the ground. "SANCTUARY!" The man cried as he hobbled away from the door and into a much more secluded and sturdy part of the house. "SANCTUARY!" The creature began to create a tunnelling system beneath before everything began to stand still like the creature had just stopped in its tracks and/or never existed. Seconds seemed to pass and then with a flying leap out of the air, the creature was high in the sky with sand falling off its pelt. Landing on cacti with a thud, it stood there with a menacing glare at the girl. Roaring again, it took a step forward before beginning to charge towards her.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] Ugh. Why did I even take this stupid job? I thought it would be something easy like scare away a pack of coyotes or something. Not rats that can turn into one singular rat. This is tbe weirdest defense mechanism I have ever seen in nature. The hush spell it threw off too! Then when I tried stuffing it into the bag it just got bigger! I am an idiot! Then it threw back its head and roared. I'm glad it didn't make this a comical scene by squeaking instead. It then tunnled into the ground and the farmer ran inside for sanctuary which I am glad for. He was starting to get annoying standing there. I reach into my pocket and I frown unhappily. I was going to eat it as a late night snack. The rat tunnels out of the ground and roars again befire charging at me. Instead of rolling aside or anything I just hold my hand out, and clasped in my palm is what was supposed to be my midnight snack. Some chedder cheese. A large piece too. I sadly hold it out, hoping that maybe like regular rats, magical rats like cheese too. The creature feet kicked up a whole lot of sand as it charged full throttle towards Zuzuki; its paw prints embedded in the ground. The smell of cheese wafted through the air and it halted at the smell. Its eyes honed in on the direction the smell was coming from and it made its way cautiously over to her this time round, its nose twitching and whiskers glinting in the moonlight. Heaving a heavy breath, its lips parted and its saliva dripped in stands from its upper jaw to its lower jaw. Its tongue crept out of its mouth in a snake-like motion and the tip reached to touch the tip of the cheese and trace over it. The creature moved closer, its eyes focused on Zuzu.

[googlefont="Shadows Into Light:400"] [attr="class","box3"] It ran charging at me. I was sure I was a goner. I closed my eyes and waited for immense pain to come. Then I waited, and it didn't come. Then I felt something cold and wet trace itself around the cheese. Ugh, I never realized how gross animal tongues can be. I held out my hand to it while I reached into my other pocket with my other hand. In it, was another piece of cheese. I guess I'm really lucky I decided to pack cheese for a midnight snack. I held it out with my other hand too, worried that the rat might eat my hands in the process, or just eat me. I close my eyes and wait, hoping that it won't kill me, and will accept the offer of cheese. Maybe after it eats the cheese it will go away. Maybe the new cook guy who made the cheese put rat poison in it. I don't know. I can only hope that something good will happen from this besides me starving. Maybe the rat will become the farmer's pet or something and they will become cheese buddies and eat cheese together... The creature's eyes narrows as it ate up the piece of cheese it was given. Its rancid breath was enough to make flowers wilt and skin curl. With a few steps backwards, the creatures eyes focused on the girl with great caution as she pulled out more cheese. Its now twitched and it took more steps backward, bellowing out a loud roar before turning on its feet and diving underground once more. The ground began to shake and the creature burrowed a multitude of tunnels throughout the ground; creating a tunnelling system in the ground that caused cacti to fall and collapse the ground to reveal a hole.
In the hole, the tunnelling system seemed to reveal a whole network of tunnels that ran through for a long time. Finally the creature approached the hole and clambered out of it, glaring at Zuzuki with hatred. Its eyes focused on the cacti and it roared one more time before turning to face the sky. A rather large bird soared through the sky before landing on top of a sand dune. Their eyes met and the creatures roared at each other with pure bestial vigour. The birds wings spread and it swooped at full speeds towards the creature. The creature dove into the ground and the bird flew into the cacti, destroying them and doing a u-turn just to fly back towards the creature; its large wingspan beating and sending up a flurry of sand which revealed more of the tunnelling network the rodentia monster had created.

Zuzi was terrified as the creature burried into the ground creating tunnels and the ground began to shake. Appearantly the cheese offering hadn't gone well with it's awful breath. She had thought rats loved cheese. Appearantly she was wrong. The creature approached her from a hole and she started backing away in terror. It was going to kill her! Maybe eat her and not care that she had given it cheese! Then, a savior, a huge bird appeared out of nowhere. Maybe it was a bunch of hawks compressed together. Wind rushed at her face, her hands raised abive her face.
Suddenly she realized that she wasn't supposed to let the rat creature be hurt. Zuzi quickly released a hush spell on the bird, her savior. Even though she didn't need to attack the stupid rat, or rats, she could attack the huge bird that wanted to hurt the rats. She lunged quickly at the huge bird with her Heart Kruez sword, attempting to end this quickly by slashing out rapidly at it. Hopefully the hush attack made it slower.

Wham! The sword collided with the bird which let out a tremendous cry while blood exploded from its body. As the bird flopped onto the floor and its blood seeping out and staining the sand a scarlet, the creature made its way towards the dead bird and bit into its wing just to start pulling it away. The smaller ones following en suite. "Sanctuary! Ye dun defeated it!" Cried the old man happily. "Thank you! He be gone too!"
