The house toward the right was in complete contrast to the one on the left, that much was an undeniable fact. While the last one seemed to have its walls littered with graffiti and the paint scratched off, this estate appeared to be almost brand new. The coat of paint on its walls seemed to be fresh and a vibrant shade of yellow and where everything else had a wooden picket fence surrounding it, this house had a small metallic gate with small models of birds resting against each corner.
Tapping the gate to test its authenticity, a metallic clang signalled to Shinzu that this was real metal and not simply cheap plastic. Clearly, the owner of this house had money to burn. Pushing the gate aside, the mage prepared to walk in before something glistening in the air below would catch his attention. Going down on his knees to take a closer glance at the object in question, the teen could immediately tell it was some sort of very thin wire or string as he ran his fingers along it. “I see… How cautious.”

Taking a step over the wire, Shinzu took great care in making sure that he didn’t tug on it. After all, he was hardly in the mood to waste time by triggering any unwanted distractions which would only serve to hinder his objective. Upon setting foot in the lawn the mage could hear very faint chirps resonating from the house in front of him. Taking a look around, the teen could only assume the man inside was an animal lover judging from all the glass statues of birds littered along the lawn.
Whatever the case however, Shinzu simply soldiered on whilst keeping a careful eye out for anymore traps. Upon hitting the doorstep the mage would hold out his hand to press on the doorbell, stopping his thumb a few centimetres away from the button as a thought popped into his head. Leaning against a wall towards the right of the door, the teen pressed the doorbell only to hear some gears crank up. What was this sound?

As the sounds stopped a bucket would tip over through a window just above the doorway which would spill a foul smelling white liquid all over the area just in front of the door. “Bird poop…” Muttered Shinzu as he felt relieved at the fact that he had caught onto the workings of this rather obvious trap just in time. As the pool of white began to drip towards the mages direction, he would immediately back off whilst positioning himself just outside a nearby window.
“Vector Hop.” With these words Shinzu would launch himself into the window before landing on a trampoline. However, rather than being pushed back out the way he came the mage would instead ‘hop’ forwards and onto the soft blue carpet. “As expected.” Grinned the teen as he entered a room surrounded with bird cages, each with all manner of species chirping away inside minding their own business. The truly interesting sight however was in the centre of the room which had a small wooden rocking chair and an old hag sitting comfortably on it.

“Gyahaha! You’re no fun young man!” Said the old women as she fed a rather menacing looking bird which was resting on her shoulder. “But you’ve earned your pay I’d say. Gyahaha!” Laughing away to herself, Shinzu simply grabbed the money from the table before rushing out the way he had come in. Upon reaching the man outside that had hired him the mage would let out a swift sigh of relief. At last he was safe, or at least for now.
With a grin, the man in black claimed the money Shinzu had grabbed before giving the mage his share. Clearly, the bald man seemed both surprised and pleased to find that the teen had completed the job.
