Shinzu grimaced as his eyes fell upon the unruly mass that was his guild. Shirts unbuttoned, ties loosened, spillages on the most delicate of fabrics. “Such is not how Lion Heart operates!” He bellowed before slamming his palms across the table in front of him. Despite the teens intimidating figure, those close to Shinzu knew full well that he was no more dangerous than a cat with no claws. “People!” He yelled once more, only to once again be greeted by nothing more than the cheers of drunken members who had no real need to pay attention to their master’s stuck-up antics.
“If I don’t uphold the standards of the guild, then who will!?” Shinzu attempted to lecture his drunken guild one final time before slouching back down into his seat. It was going to take a lot more to get through to his fun-loving guild and Shinzu certainly wasn’t iron-fisted enough to want to do that. “I guess one night of going all out can’t hurt…” He mumbled to himself before downing his drink with a hiccup. Even he wasn’t sure how he had ended up as captain kill-joy of the night, however, there was little he could do at this point.
Someone had to ensure that the guild felt safe and if that meant acting as the bouncer for the night, then he would do it. “As much as this job is beneath me, at the very least, I won’t be hungover tomorrow I suppose.” Shinzu was great at finding the silver lining behind every situation. Even if one didn’t truly exist.

“Hm?” As much as Shinzu was ‘enjoying’ being the only sober member of the guild in the room, he couldn’t help but notice three particularly unruly beasts harassing a few Lion Heart members in the corner. Although most wouldn’t have noticed them at first glance, the teen couldn’t help but glare at the trio due to their lack of formal attire or any real sense of the word ‘fashion’. “They are not of Lion Heart….” He growled before pulling himself up from his chair in a rather stiff and defeated manner. Being ignored by his guild all this time had really left a bruise on the poor master’s ego; though he was hardly going to use it as an excuse to give up so soon.
“Trouble makers! Who are you?” He yelled after slipping his way past the multitude of drunken bodies blocking his way to the table in the far corner of the room. The trio in question reeked of alcohol and appeared to have some sort of emblem tattooed onto their arms that resembled an octopus or some sort of alien creature with a multitude of tentacles. “Shut it kid, we are just here for women.” The response would cause a vein of visible anger to form across Shinzu’s forehead. Whoever these people are, they clearly did not know who they were trifling with.
“There will be no harassing the maidens of this guild while I am on duty. Leave, or be forced out.” Shinzu’s words were strong, powerful and reeking of confidence. It was just a shame, however, that he was feeling slightly tipsy and struggling to keep his balance without the occasional wobble from side to side. “Eehhhhh!? Who died and made you boss, kid!” That was strike two. One more and these were dead men.

Although the ruffian’s tones were rather rude and disrespectful, the truly annoying fact was the way in which one of them in particular would refer to Shinzu as a ‘kid’ despite the visible fact that he was indeed older than all three members of the tentacle guild. “The previous Guild Master made me boss.” With this being the first time in a while that one of his zingy one liners would actually come out sounding rather cool, the teen prepared to strike a pose of some sorts as if to signify his strength. Before this could be done, however, his response would be greeted by nothing more than a barrage of laughter by the three men.
“Ahahah, what is that supposed to mean kid. Don’t tell me an adorable little boy like you is the guild mast-” The man’s voice would be cut off as Shinzu drove his fist into his face, the act of which causing the intoxicated mage to drop to the floor with a harsh ‘thud’. “Strike three. You gentlemen just made my day.” In response to this, the second mage would clasp his hands together as if to cast some sort of spell. Before this could be done, however, Shinzu would drive his knee into the mage’s chest before knocking him out with a swift elbow blow to the back of the head.
“Do me a favour. Take your friends outside for me, I don’t want to dirty my ha- HEY! COME BACK!” Before Shinzu could finish with his command, the last member of the trio would have already made a successful run for the exit. “Well… I suppose that takes care of that.” With nothing further left to do, Shinzu would grab hold of the two unconscious men by the ankles and drag them towards the exit of the bar.

Marika the master of Fairy Tail was shown a bar which belonged to the guild Lion Heart. This bar actually looked noble, can't even compare with what they had on a better day back home. Well, if our place isn't trashed it would look nice. Marika didn't use to spend too much time in their bar, she knew of the crazy fights and even experienced one. She was expecting something better here though, at least a huge castle or something with all these snobbish people, she wanted to punch every last one of them in the face. Just look at their noses. All liars and extortionists. she thought, these people would definitely fit well with the rest of the main house Vermillion. I bet I can find some dirt on these people, gives me an excuse to rob them dry. she waved at the passerby, a man in a suit with high hat. "Right" she frowned in front of his face and turned the door handle. The woman was welcomed by plenty new smells and some lousy people. One shady looking character bumped into the mage, he looked stupid enough. "Out of the way wench!" the guy managed to curse before disappearing. "Such manners." normally she would beat the crap out of him but another were upon her, this time she managed to clear from their path. "Well this is a nice welcome." she walked in, observing the nice bar. There was a man dragging a few bodies towards the exit, he looked like a better dressed bouncer. "What'd they do?" carefully observing those two unconscious people, they reminded her of that cursing goon.

“They caused more trouble than they were worth, so I took them out quietly before someone else responded to their antics. I believe I may have just saved us a fortune in unwanted repairs.” Shinzu sighed at the end of his response to the newcomer. Rather than speaking with pride due to his foresight, his words seemed to instead be filled with distaste. Before his lips could utter another complaint about Lion Heart, however, the teen would tilt his head in curiosity as he scanned the features of the blonde-haired girl in front of the doorway.
“Your appearance strikes me as somewhat familiar… However, you do not appear to be with the guild. Who are you?” Though the words may have come off as somewhat blunt and rude, Shinzu truly did feel as if he knew this woman. Not in person, of course, but rather as someone he may have seen on a magazine or bounty poster. Then again, it probably wasn’t the latter option considering no sane person with a bounty on their heads would willingly enter a room full of the strongest bounty hunters in Fiore.
“The leader of Chicken Wings…? No, they disbanded some while ago… Phantom Crap? No, they possess far too much cowardice to show up here alone. That leaves… Fairy Fail perhaps?” Insulting three guilds in one sentence probably wasn’t the smartest move, however, Shinzu bore no ill malice. He had simply picked up on the nicknames from some of his other guild members and grown far too fond of them. “Indeed! You are the leader of Fairy Fail!” The teen clasped his hands together in excitement. It had been a long time since the guild had been blessed with a visit from a guild master outside of Lion Heart’s ranks. “My, what an honour! Your name may escape my tongue, however, your appearance is unforgettable. To what do I owe this pleasant visit?”

This suits guy has noticed her and replied, his words had logic in it "Fair enough." she shrugged at the end. She observed the bar some more, this place could be stupidly expensive to repair, the ceiling, the tables and everything shiny. Too bad Marika had no information about this guild, they seem to be doing well for themselves. It was hard to think snobs could become a magic guild at that, first she thought they were soft but seeing those two this guy dragged and the ones earlier she had to think differently. "Nice place." she nodded. After some observation she walked to a table, with one finger she slid it across. Clean their bar needs some lesson from these people. The this person began to guess who she was, it was amusing to hear. Marika didn't say anything nor confirmed, instead she put one hand around her waist and the other inside her pocket, striding around him and watching the surroundings. He reminded her of butlers, some also acted as muscle when needed, never in her life would she imagine him to be a guild master. Chicken Wings? And Phantom Crap? she had to smirk but putting Fairy Tail with those insulting names? "Don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce." she said in a calm cold voice. It took him a while to figure out who she was, thought she couldn't even guess who he was. "You know me already. Why don't you tell me who you are first?" she couldn't expect anything more from a bouncer, rude as always.
After a moment she walked further inside "Is this Lion Balls? Pche." she made it obviously and insult. "I was just wondering what your guild does for a living. Money laundering?" the streets were full of rich, this was the only explanation why this business would have been rising like a flower here. "Snitches perhaps?" those citizens would no doubt be doing something illegal, this guild could be giving information or blackmailing them.

Shinzu took note of the attention the girl was paying to her surroundings. It didn’t quite appear as if she felt threatened or in danger, however, for some reason she was being quite observant. “You have my thanks.” The teen smiled as the newcomer praised the bar, though he couldn’t help but shift that into a frown as he looked at the chaos behind him. While most wouldn’t consider a few spillages a little broken glass much more than a minor mess, for Lion Heart, such behaviour was intolerable. “For the love of all that is holy… Do not embarrass me in front of another guild leader.” He thought to himself before shooting the room a cold glare.
“Actually, I know very little about you. While I do make it my business to study and learn about the competition in Fiore, it can be rather difficult to gain much information about guild masters beyond what is uttered in speculation and rumour.” Shinzu attempted to present himself across as a well-educated man, although he probably failed to do so considering the fact that he didn’t even have any knowledge about his guest’s name. “I am Shinzu Hayashi, guild master of Lion Heart.” The teen would reply before bowing to the fellow master as a sign of courtesy. Joking aside, he certainly did not want to make any enemies on the one night where his entire guild would either be drunken beyond sense or on the floor unconscious.
“Indeed, this is iron balls.” Shinzu would return the comment with a wink. “We simply clean up the city and dispense with justice. I suppose you could say that we are the police of Shirotsume Town. No money laundering or snitching as far as I am aware. Then again, it is difficult to be everywhere at once.” The teen would give a solemn sigh. Clearly, he had not been a guild master for long and was feeling a little overwhelmed at the task. “But enough about that. Tell me, what is your name? I fear I may only insult you if I attempted to recall it from memory alone… And why did you find your way here? It is not every day that we are graced with the presence of Fairy Tail, let alone their master. Surely you are here for business and not simply for the open bar?”

Soon enough the guy introduced himself as Shinzu Hayashi but she misheard his name due to the ruckus the other customers were doing. "So you are Shunzu, can I call you that? I guess I can tell you why I am here." in truth she didn't know why she was here, perhaps she was just drawn into this part of the world but her main objective was to look for magic users to recruit. "I didn't think a Guild Master would do this kind of job, playing muscle in this establishment." she expected an old guy being the master and all. These guys already belonged to a guild and she wasn't going to steal them, after all a light guild was a light guild, there could be consequences from the council if that happened. "Would you be surprised if I told you the reason was this bar?" she tried to wring it with her acting skills, they have helped in many situations already. Shunzu was trying to convince her no shady business was done here, Marika still had doubts, a words of a rich person in shiny suit meant nothing to her. Her own Vermillion clan was like that, smooth talk from the outside, very shady practices on the other.
"I am going to have a drink, let's get something strong for a change." she hasn't introduced herself yet even though Shunzu asked. When she sat down and gotten one of the stronger liquor and spilled some into her throat "I am Marika Vermillion of Fairy Tail." it was constantly getting noisier around. Marika gulped another sip of the strong liquid "So tell me MR. Policeman, what investigation was the most interesting to you." she would order a round for her new companion. Being 18 Marika was legally able to get alcohol drinks, being a gangster for most of her life she built a little tolerance for these drinks. How will this guild master Shunzu fair against her in this battle? Unless he declined, that would have been obviously cowardly "or you don't drink?" raising an eyebrow if Shunzu hesitated even for a moment.

“S-Shun? No, Shin! Shinnnnnn-zu!” Shinzu stuttered at the girl’s comment. He had been around his guild members long enough to know that mispronounced names can end up rather permanent should they not be corrected with haste. “Heh. I suppose ‘bouncering’ is a tad below the duties of a master. Truth be told, I forced myself into this situation. I was too soft you see. I did not wish for any of the members to remain sober on this special night, so I claimed this duty for myself. Somewhere along the lines I would like to think that it was kindness.” The teen cut himself off before finishing his sentence. He certainly did not want to lose the respect of his guest by admitting that he was, in fact, an utter light weight that wished to avoid getting drunk out of fear that he may make a fool of himself.
“You are here for the… bar!?” Shinzu scoffed at the comment. While the master of Fairy Tail was probably unaware of the fact, in actuality Lion Heart’s open bar nights are considered to be quite famous amongst East Fiore due to the limitless amounts of high quality and exotic booze available for the attendees. Naturally, this has led to countless attempts by civilians and other guilds to sneak into the bar all in order to sample what may otherwise be far beyond their price range. “I suppose that is fair…” The teen had hardly accepted his guest’s words with a positive note. If it were anyone else, he probably would have booted them from the premises. However, he was hardly going to turn away a fellow guild master.
“Marika...” The woman had at last revealed herself as Marika Vermillion. “Marika… MADika? Maracas?” Shinzu attempted to think of a nickname for his guest as revenge for ‘Shunzu’. As hard as he tried, however, he would only fail to think of something worthy enough to be uttered out loud. “Hm my most interesting investigation? You would be surprised to hear what some of your ex-Fairy Fail’s get up to these days.” The teen would grin, almost as if to rub salt into the wound. He certainly did know something interesting, though he clearly wasn’t willing to speak of it any time soon.
“Oh? F-For me?” Shinzu would smile at the kind gesture of being handed some liquor, though with him not exactly being a natural-born actor, Marika would likely see through the false façade. If this turned into a battle of livers, then Shinzu was going to die. “You know, how about we make this interesting. There’s a reason I perked up so much as soon as you walked through our doors.” The teen would grab the glass cup and down the drink with several gulps. “If I win this little wager of ours, then I expect you to leave Fairy Fail and become a lioness. I want you in our guild.” The room would grow deafly silent as Shinzu uttered his terms. The guild’s eyes were now solely locked on the duo. “Do you accept? Or… do you not drink?”

Somehow this guy was surprised she was here for the bar, it seems like her acting worked. "Ah so it was Shinzu, although Shunzu sounds much better" he hurriedly corrected that mistake. Why would he want to have his whole guild not sober on this day, were they celebrating or something? Wait he was plotting something? this was getting interesting, if she stuck here for a while he might reveal that purpose. Let's see if he accepts the drink. Instead he challenged her into a wager, what a preposterous one at that. By observing his body language and speech when he was handed the drink has given her a hint about his reluctance. Hesitant to drink huh, this guy must not be scared of getting drunk. Being and actor herself she could play along, "And the same goes for you. If you lose you'll open this bar to Fairy Tail members forever." she raised a glass. Since early Marika has become a gangster, with all the perks it comes she could drink at any age. "Alright tell me what the ex-Fairy Tail members are up to. It would be my duty to hunt them down for any evil deeds they commit." whatever the ex members do it should not be evil.

“Shun… Zu…” Shinzu winced once more. Despite his best efforts, it seemed as if that nickname was now officially there to stay. “Very well! I accept your terms!” As the teen accepted the wager, an air of tension would begin to fill the air as his guild mates began chatting away to each other. If Marika was listening carefully, she would just about be able to eavesdrop on their collective conversations which would all seem to revolve around the fact that Shinzu was certainly going to lose this bet. “Have some faith!” He howled before wiping his brow. Despite the confidence, it was clear that the alcohol was already taking hold of him.
“Heh. So interested in your old allies are we?” Shinzu would gesture the barman to slide over a few more drinks, one of which he would proceed to down with somewhat of a moderate struggle. “Now why should I part with such details when I could just as easily taunt you with them for a little while longer?” Despite the grin, the teen was already crossing the boundaries between tipsy and drunkenness. “Time to play dirty.” He thought to himself as his vision began to blur. There was no way this battle was going to be won without a little divine intervention.
“Actually. Considering the fact that I already had a few shots before your arrival, I believe it would be fair for you to catch up before we continue any further.” With his sinister grin only widening, Shinzu would pile up six small shot glasses in front of his guest in a triangular formation. “That is fair, correct?” The words appeared to be directed at the entire guild as opposed to Marika, to which they would receive cheers and agreement. It was a shame, however, that the teen had forgotten to mention the fact that before all this, nothing more than a single beer had managed to make its way into his lips.

Shinzu would take a sip from his cup while awaiting Marika’s response. Much to his surprise, however, this would not happen for quite some time. Sip after sip, the guild master would only willingly fling himself into doom as he attempted to drown the awkward silence with alcohol. “T..T…Time….out….” He groaned before collapsing and knocking over his cup. Poor Shinzu was at his limit already.
