After the recent events playing repeatedly in her mind, Syana decided it was time that she chased away this weakness that circulated within her mind and body. With nobody to rely on and sheer defiance on her mind, Syana summoned her staff and placed it down. It was time to discover just what true magic she possessed.
As she gripped tightly onto the staff, she looked around for things to create a makeshift dummy.
The sun was bearing strong down on them and she embraced its warmth, enjoying the sensation of it caressing her skin. The staff felt like it was taking in the suns rays and running them through her body.
Soon enough she began to collect things to make a training dummy. Grabbing a discarded pillow and shoving it down on a thick piece of wood, she looked around and then nodded her head. Sure, it was brief and a little adorable, but this was going to be her new method of getting stronger.
Summoning a ball of light in her hand, she spun it in circles deciding it was best not to destroy this makeshift dummy just yet and she was sure people wouldn't mind her creating some noise while she trained. As she threw the ball of light towards the dummy, she decided it best to use spells that required little magic for now. With the ball colliding with the dummy, the dummy would just rock side to side before holding a straight face.

With a air of defiance, the mage narrowed her eyes at the dummy while she stood her ground. Spinning the staff around, she held it down to the ground and thumped the tip firmly to the ground. She looked up at the sky and took in the suns location. She had a good while to train so she decided to take her time. Letting the staff drop, she formed two more balls on light in her hand and threw them at the dummy. Each one colliding with the dummy and causing it to sway side to side.
Her green eyes watched the dummy sway and she looked at the balls of light as they danced around it in an odd manner. A small idea seeped through her mind and she nodded. It was time to try a new approach. With her lips pursed and her eyes watching the balls, she lifted her hands and summoned a ray of light to collide with the dummy. Her body still felt sore from the previous events and she was not going to let that happen again. She wanted to be stronger and she wanted to be free.
Her eyes narrowed into slits, she finally let some emotion show and she moved around the dummy swiftly; her robes swaying in the swift movements and motions she was doing.

A soft breeze caressed her skin as she ran around the dummy, trying different approaches and testing new ways to get the ray of light to afflict the dummy. It was beginning to look tattered and Syana wasn't going to let it break just yet, but she wanted to ensure her spells were getting stronger even if they were small rays of light colliding with the dummy. Dancing side to side with her robes flapping against her legs, she let the light circle around her hand, crawling up her arm before sliding around her body. She closed her eyes and focused. The light began to quiver and react as it spiked out every now and then.
She wanted to test to see if she could use her own magic to form a defensive wall. One she could transfer to other people entirely. The light began to take form of a gossamer trail and envelope her entire being. She kept her eyes closed and focused hard. She was not going to let this defeat her. The light began to grow and spread out in a wall, a bubble as it were around the area before popping. With a tense expression, Syana tried again.

The bubble began to shake and quiver this time round too, but she wasn't going to let it falter. She needed it to stop. Soon enough, she closed her eyes and let the bubble implode on itself, falling down around her like rain. She stood in awe as the light fell to the ground like stars falling from the sky all around her. She stood there with her lips parted and disbelief on her face. She felt like she was standing in a fairytale. The little balls of light twinkled around her, landing on the ground and disappearing like bubbles.
The guildless mage lifted her hand to her palm, examining it in surprise. A stark realisation had struck her and she gazed at her palm in confusion. She looked up at the sky and pondered. Maybe it was best to do something more productive. She knew she had more magic to focus on other than just the mundane balls of light. She wasn't an offensive mage, that was for sure.
With her eyes closed, she took slow, deep breaths and then lifted her hand up into the air. Light began to snake around her hand and then form into a ribbon as it crawled down her wrist.

The ribbon began to circle her body, snaking out and up her legs and then her robes before reaching her wrist. She closed her eyes, smiling and enjoying its warmth as it tickled. Soon it began to feel like the ribbon was removing her ailments. Her eyes lightened up as she opened them and the ribbon of light began to flick and crawl around in the air, moving into a heart above her head before spreading out and stretching out into a lightning bolt shape. It began to zap around the area with her controlling its movement and flung itself right into the dummy causing it to shake violently and begin to glow.
Syana watched triumphantly as it shivered and shimmered while the lightning bolt took effect and formed into a bubble before changing its colour. It became a light pink colour and then turned invisible other than the obvious glitter sparkling every now and then. She stood there with a small smile and closed her eyes. One thing was accomplished, but was it true? Only one way to find out.
Syana's fingers clasped together and she pressed her fingers to her lips. She wanted to get stronger, she wanted to help everyone. With her eyes closed, she began to do the worst thing she could think of: recollect what happened recently.

Her heart racing in her chest, she let the trauma bubble up within her body but not so much that it turned her into something worse. She had experienced this kind of torture before, she was younger at the time, yes, but she had a burst of magic to help her escape. The memories flooded her mind and the warm voice from before snaked its way into her mind. "You need not fear any more." It confided her. She nodded her head slowly, smiling to the voice and then opened her eyes.
Time to start focusing on stronger spells. With a hand at the ready, she closed her hands into a ball and chanted something silently to herself. A gossamer glow formed around her fists and began to shimmer and glow as she lifted her gaze to the dummy. A long beam of gossamer light flung out from her hands and enveloped the dummy; spiking at it, forming into claws and slashing at the barrier which seemed to shimmer and take in each attack. The barrier made a sound like sheet metal shaking, but the sound wasn't unpleasant.
Syana's heart leaped in her chest and she felt like she had triumphantly accomplished the impossible. She was getting stronger now that she was beginning to focus. No more rough starts or shaky beginnings. She knew what she was going to do. She knew what to focus on. Syana felt better.

Syana couldn't help but recall everyone she was with. Sure, her breathing was shallow but she didn't care. Her magic was going a lot quicker, but she was adamant of holding up for another few rounds. With the magic she was using still trying to claw at the barrier, she called it back and gathered its delightful and yet warm presence up as it tickled within her body. She was beginning to feel like she was getting somewhere and she knew that she was getting stronger.
Syo's expression and face sunk into her body and she froze to the spot. It was time to start using her magic for a more productive source. She let it linger in her body. Syo was ill, she needed to start reading up on curing diseases and illnesses. She needed to become a better healer. She needed to be a better person. She let this linger in her mind, her heart beating slowly as she let the thoughts of every persons he met during her time here, those years she spent away from her family.
With that done, she let the wings spread from her back and slowly lift her up into the air. Her robes wavered as she floated, the wings beating in a forward motion with one after the other. Spreading her arms up and closing her eyes, she knew what she was going to do. She was going to use harder spells. She knew she could do it.

With the wings flapping behind her, she kept her arms spread out and her eyes closed. Fingers spread out and palms to the sun, she let the light envelope her body and then a barrier begin to grow across the floor, spreading out and crawling into each crevice and cranny within the garden. Her hair flowed softly in the wind and a bead of sweat ran down her cheek. The light began to shimmer as a pentagram formed beneath her, right on her shadow.
She was going to do this. Bits of light and a sweet scent began to flood the air, cooling and calming her body and the lights flickered everywhere within the garden. She was panting, but she was staying strong. The bubble turned invisible and light began to dance and flicker everywhere, zapping quickly and disappearing as quickly as it had appeared. She knew that this spell was taxing her body, but she wasn't going to let that get the best of her. Her lips pursed tightly, she couldn't help but enjoy the warmth of the magic linger on her skin. She was calming herself down mentally while exerting herself physically. She knew that she could do it.

She always did one spell at a time, but now it was time to try multiple. With the light dancing everywhere, she summoned a pentagram beneath the dummy which began to circle and let chains snake out of the ground and circle around it. Due to there not being any wrists or ankles to grasp onto, the golden chains began to grip onto the dummy and circle over each other, crossing over and clicking as they hit one another. Syana moved her arms, flicking her fingers in certain directions with her eyes closed; focused on the sound of the chains. The chains rattled as they began to snake away from their first target and bind themselves onto other targets too, a bright glow on their body. Syana began to pant, her head began to throb and she knew her magic wasn't going to last much longer.
With her concentration strong, she kept the magic bubble up and parted her lips in a silent gasp as the chains began to recoil on themselves. They were running out of things to grasp and clearly beginning to want to retreat back to their home, the pentagram. Syana then flicked her wrists and they retreated the way they came, snaking quickly back to their home and disappearing with the pentagram itself.

Syana's eyes opened as a sharp pain flung through her body, the magic bubble began to shake and she looked down to realise she had managed to go too high into the air. The bubble began to shake and quiver and the pain throbbed in her head. She found herself losing her strength, but she needed to try one more spell. Her magic was almost gone, she had lost it so quickly that it should be a crime.
Syana's wings began to shiver and shimmer as they reached their maximum. She then found herself losing grips of them and they disappeared. With them gone, Syana found herself plummeting towards the ground quick and fast; her eyes closed and her hair flapped wildly as she fell head first. She lifted her head, her hands reaching out towards the light and giving one more spell.
A pentagram appeared beneath her and a bubble quickly formed, causing her to land heavily into it and rocking her before she fell onto the floor and gripped at the grass; her eyes slowly opened and her hood covered her face. She closed her eyes once more and passed out on the spot, breathing slowly into the grass which tickled her nose.
