Monk:Monks are the mid ground between a Mage and a Knight, training in equal portions their body, their mind, and their spirit. Unable to use Magic without multi-classing into a proper mage type but can use Qi instead, Monks are those who train their bodies alongside their minds. Qi is an energy that, like Mana, the source of Magic, is generated like the body. However, unlike Mana, Qi has a very short half life, and is rendered inert after a fairly short period.
All techniques that involve Qi are considered 'Artes'.(Singular form 'Arte') All techniques that combine Qi and Magic are minimum Master Level, and require a High-Level technique whose only effect is to make Qi and Magic Compatible. Monks are able to use physical combat techniques, such as Martial Arts, called 'Techs' or 'Techniques', as well as Qi-based 'Artes' Requires creator permission to start with, revamp into, or gain any other way.
Vortexia:Vortexian magic(Borutekusia no Mahou) is a form of 'Lost' magic. In Vortexian magic, one takes in elemental magical energy in order to increase their physical abilities. Unskilled Vortexian mages are only able to absorb a elemental magical energy, and only one element at once. But as they gain skill, they become able to absorb multiple elements at once and even entire spells, taking on the traits not only of the elements involved, but even the traits of the spell, if applicable.
However, every magic has it's limitations, and Vortexian magic is normally only able to absorb the user's own magical energy, or magical energy willingly given. It is also, at all times and with no exceptions, only able to absorb elemental energies that the user is able to manipulate. Vortexian mages are also able to utilize simple elemental spells, but are unable to use spells of the same level of complexity as actual elemental mages.
At higher levels, Vortexian spells not only absorb the magic/spell and use it to boost the user's abilities, but also cause the body and soul to fuse WITH the spell, causing the user to become an elemental being for the duration of the spell. However, only certain people can ever use Vortexian magic. Cannot be gained post creation without a revamp. Cannot be started with or revamped into without creator permission.
