Upon arriving to the 'entrance' of the Sleeping forest, or rather the path which lead through the forest, it would be immediately noted that there was something unusual present throughout the forest - a trail of lanterns, a single line of lamps, powered by what appeared to be some sort of lacrima, glowing an odd green color and guiding the way, though it was mid-afternoon and the sun was not even thinking about setting yet. If one were to follow this string of lanterns, they would find that it strayed from the given path, leading off into a cluster of trees, beyond which was a spacious clearing, which usually would have merely been a stretch of unmaintained grass - but not today. No, today the entire area appeared freshly mowed, well maintained, as though it were someone's lawn. Additionally, several tents lined the area, one with a first aid symbol upon it, just in case, beside which was a man that some might recognize as one of Griffin Wing's healers, as well as several smaller, unmarked tents and one fairly large one which appeared to have tables and such inside of it. There was also a large pile of wooden chests with supplies and equipment sitting to one side, and other such things that were needed on an excursion - as well as many things that were more tailored towards the events that would be taking place, but these things were of course hidden inside of the crates and chests, meant to be kept a surprise. There were also several picnic tables strung along in a line, clustered around the tents. Several people were milling about, but they were clearly people that were working behind the scenes, so to speak, and dressed plainly to portray the fact that they were really not involved in the event. Standing in the center of the clearing, with her arms crossed over her chest, was a dark haired girl, whom one might recognize as the guild master of Griffin Wing. However, there was something very different about her today, she was not wearing her signature clothing, nor anything remotely like it. Instead, she was wearing a pair of large aviator sunglasses, a military green tee shirt, camouflage print cargo pants, as well as a pair of shiny leather army boots that made the baggy pants puff out slightly on her legs. Around her neck, attached to a silver chain, was a shining whistle, which dangled and swung a little as she shifted idly from one foot to the other. As time passed, she appeared increasingly idle as she cast a sidelong glance around the camp, "they should be here pretty soon, I imagine," she mused, licking her lips softly, "the messengers I sent would have handed the letters off to the participants quite some time ago..." She went on to say, perhaps to no one in particular, before her eyes turned back towards the lanterns, as she swore she heard rustling in the trees. Several hours previous to this, each person participating had been approached by a messenger, whom handed off a sealed letter to them before leaving. The letter was somewhat short, but to the point. Hello, mages (and for those of you from out of town, welcome to Onibas), proceed towards the Sleeping Forest. We've left a trail for you to follow. Please hurry and join us~
Your Guild Masters [/font] (OoC; even if you didn't post on the sign up thread, you may still join if you're from either guild, and, if you're from somewhere else and want to happen upon us just run it by us first and we shall see what we can do. )

Joker slowly walked up the hill, swinging his arms wildly as the letter he was delivered sat hanging from the top of his mask. He had wondered what was going on with this entire thing that apparently the Guild Masters were up too. They had letters delivered to them by random messengers, so Joker couldn't help but ponder. And oh how he pondered.
The fact was... they really didn't explain anything about what was going on in the Sleeping Forest, so he was feeling a little interested. What sorts of event or party could they have planned? Sasha poked her head from out beneath his mask and let out a little squee followed by a yawn, and Joker helped the small slime onto his shoulder. Her tail wagged, or wiggled, a little bit as he kept moving forward, walking along the well prepared trail.
The lanterns glowed in the shady daylight as the trees over-hung the path that Joker followed, ignoring the fact that he was walking from the normal trail. He let out a bit of a yawn and closed his eyes for a moment, only to open them again as he came across the clearing. Tents! Why, there was all sorts of tents of all shapes and sizes! Kinda! Maybe they were camping! Ooooh he... well... actually... he never really went camping before.
It seemed a little stupid really...
The chests in the distance, in the large chest, made Joker curious, but he felt like he should first approach the soldier-like clothed woman. It was a gut feeling, and today, he was trusting those. Tomorrow they would probably lie to him, but today, gut feelings were trust-worthy. Walking up to the woman, Joker saluted her and chuckled, "Joker, Fairy Tail, reporting for something!"

Kasumi walked slowly, following the path that the lanterns formed and taking her time to take in her surroundings while clutching the letter in her hand with her staff slung on her back. Having only recently been allowed to explore the world and leave her home, she had never seen anything like it before. The scenery assaulted her eyes and she was in awe as she eventually reached the clearing.
Once again, all of the foreign items in the clearing intrigued Kasumi as she began to look around at all of the things. The crates, tents and chests all sparked her interest and made her more excited as she saw Riley, who she was told after their first excursion was the guild master, and another strange person wearing a mask and a whole bunch of other weird stuff that Kasumi never saw anyone wear before. As the weird looking guy saluted the guild master in an odd fashion, Kasumi made her way towards them, chuckling to herself at the guild master's get up.
"Joker, you don't need to be so formal~" She said happily, playfully poking him as she said it. She made a note that the person's name was Joker due to his introduction, which she heard.
"I'm Kasumi Ito of Griffin Wing. It's nice to meet you." She said happily, giving an innocent smile as she turned to Riley. "Riley! You didn't tell me you were the guild master! Why didn't you tell me?" She exclaimed in a comic fashion, pouting a little as she addressed the girl.
"Also, what's with the clothes? Why didn't you tell me that you were going to wear special attire? If I'd known that, I would've worn something special too." She said, continuing to pout as she continued to playfully moan at Riley.

"Yes..." She spoke silently to herself as she surveyed the area, thinking about the events that had led to where she currently was, It was a little after being given the title of Guild Master. She remembered the feeling of being overwhelmed, however she received a letter from Miss Riley which helped comfort her. They had been in correspondence since then and the result was this event, something which would hopefully would continue the efforts that Master Shinji's idea for a Picnic was attempting.
Fawn had always enjoyed Griffin Wing's mages, If everyone in Fairy Tail was her brother and sisters, then they were her cousins. She hoped that this event would help everyone else see that and allow a continued allegiance towards the peaceful nature of legal guilds, should the day come when the Griffins and Fairies needed to help one another.
She was also overjoyed that she was now considered equal to her role model, Such an opportunity was very much involved with her personal reasons for accepting her current position.
Either way what was she doing now. She was blending into the environment and watching as the mages from the two guilds gathered, She was a master of disguise.
She was...
"Bush Fawn. Not quite a Fawn, Not quite a bush." She said as she ruffled the leaves attached to her camouflage jacket, below that was a pair of black pants and combat boots, which weren't hidden by any bush. On her head was a pair of goggles. In reality she was actually quite obvious and the way she was looking around pretty much gave her away, if the speaking out loud part didn't help...

Tsubasa pondered what it would be like, as she stepped off the train into Onibas, she looked around, she had recivied the note from Fawn, but not really telling her what she wanted to know, as she headed towards the Sleeping forest, she looked around the area a little before heading forward. She had been in Onibas before for concerts, but not really outside of the main part of the city before. Tsubasa then walked up the hill, and went down, stopping for a moment to look at the view, Tsubasa smiled slightly at the view, heading down the well made path, she thought. "Well, they've put alot of work into this.." Tsubasa nodded to herself, and kept walking. As Tsubasa entered the clearing, she saw Fawn, talking with a young girl, along with some man in a mask that she had never met. As well as a girl who was, looking around. Tsubasa wondered who they all were, apart from Fawn she knew no one, Tsubasa sighed. Tsubasa walked into the clearing further, she was wearing white jeans, along with a white cap, and a white shirt, with frills along the top and white long sleeves attached to the shirt. And to top it off, a blue mini jacket covering the sleeves, but the ends of the sleeves are folded over the jacket. As well as her usual necklace, Tsubasa looked down and smiled at it. Tsubasa walked over to Fawn, and smiled slightly at her, nodding at her. "Hey Fawn, so what's this about eh? Oh and if you like as a special treat free of charge, I can do a little concert here for when everyone arrives?" Tsubasa smiled. This is what Tsubasa looks like.

Tristan yawned and slid a hand beneath his armor to scratch his side. It might have been noon-ish but that didn't mean he hadn't had a late night. He had been woken up by a messenger asking Griffin Wing and Fairy Tail guild members to meet in the Sleeping Forest. The last time he had been in the forest was to get some stupid blue fruit for some cook. As he approached the wooded area he took note of the green lanterns. "Follow the lights?" He questioned himself before shrugging his thick shoulders. What harm was there in following the lights.
Shifting his helm slightly he started following the lights. His large stride took him to the clearing quickly enough. As he entered the field he looked at Fawn and Riley, before starting to chuckle softly. "Well don't you two look adorable." He rumbled. His ever present armor shined dully in the afternoon light. Fawn, Riley, two women he didn't know, and some masked guy. An interesting group.
"So what's up? Another group outing like that picnic?" He asked, he may have been absent for it but he found the letter at a later date. He had been out on a job for a few days and apparently missed a dual guild get together. He looked at the other people present and gave a wave. "Yo, names Tristan. Griffin Wind guildie." He stated while giving the friendliest smile he could.

A relaxing stroll was the first thing on his mind when he was walking through the woods. He didn’t have a planned destination, nor did he have an appointment he had to keep. He was just enjoying a good walk through the woods.
At least that was the plan when Chris stumbled onto the lanterns that rested on the branches. At first he figured they were lighting the path and making it safer for people to travel at night. Give it a romantic atmosphere. But as he followed the trail he noticed that the lanterns led the way off the normal trail and led into the woods.
Standing at the crossroads Chris debated his options. Either he continues on the path through the woods or he follows the lights to their destination. While he was content to just walk through the woods; his curiosity got the better of him. He followed the lanterns.
He walked for a short time following the lights. He stayed close to the string of lights as he followed them, not wanting to get lost in the woods. However the more he followed them the more he suspected that it might be a trap. When he reached the end he was glad that wasn’t the case.
Chris approached the clearing cautiously, peering around at the various tents and tables surrounding the area. It looked like a large picnic was about to take place, though who it was for he was clueless. He noticed a symbol on a few of the tents, but he didn’t know what it meant. He guessed it was a guild symbol, but he wasn’t very familiar with any of the guilds. Except Fairy Tail, but that’s only because Tsubasa led him there on his quest to find the mission board for freelance wizards.
He stood on the outskirts of the clearing, cautiously looking around at the proceedings. He had no idea if he was allowed to be there or not, but he guessed outsiders might not be welcome. Still it looked like it was going to be a great party, and he didn’t want to leave. He figured he’d just watch from the shadows, and it if looked like he had no chance then he would leave.

His demeanor was soft to say the least as he was a ways off to the side of the tents, his boots having been removed as his legs were submerged in the small pond. His breastplate was completely absent which would showcase his well toned and muscled body.
He was submerged in deepthought, his most abnormal decision to date was joining Griffon wing and yet he felt.....at home for the first time. Even though he only joined to get a shot at Riley at first, he hadbegun to.....to love the guild, even willing to helpit in anyway including at the cost of his own life. Perhaps this was what it meant to have a family? How would he know, he was practically an orphan after all.
He soon began to wonder, "Hmm I wonder if Durri and Jokes are here...", in truth these two were his only male friends, and they both were good friends. And then a second question came about, see he had met a young woman not too long ago that was just as captivating as Riley was, although she seemed to not even notice his advances so he held no clue as to if she was interested as well. Perhaps if she was here he would get a chance to ask.
He soon slid in to the pond and went to the center, he himself going into a meditative stance, his body submerged to his shoulders as he touched fist to fist. He himself began concentrating as the color of his energy appeared around him in an aura, that color being golden. And almost as fast as it appeared, it fizzed out and left him sweating. Perhaps the sudden burst of golden color would alert some to his position.

Riley smiled a little to herself as she saw someone emerging from the forest. He was a wearing a mask and he had some sort of slime looking blob on his shoulder, but he approached her after glancing around at the 'camp', clearly curious about it. He greeted her, giving his name, and she smiled a bit, also spying Kasumi coming up as well.
"It's nice to meet you, Joker, I am Riley Aquila," she stated, after having chuckled at his words. From under the sunglasses, her focus shifted towards the girl, and she cracked a bit of a smile, "as Kasumi here has stated, I am the guild master of Griffin Wing... And I thought you already knew whom I was, or I thought my name would have given it away." She nodded somewhat absently, her arms still crossed over her chest as she shifted on her feet and glanced around at all the people.
"Fawn and I just thought it was a neat idea to dress up like this, hehe," she looked in the girl's direction as she spoke her name, ensuring that she was still near - Riley's somewhat motherly side ever apparent. Fawn was talking with a girl that Riley assumed was from her guild, and so she turned her eyes back in time to spy Tristan approaching. She smiled a little at his words, "hey Tristan," she greeted, her arms finally unfolding, her hands fell to rest lightly on her hips. The girl's arms were incredibly pale, due to the fact that she always wore long sleeves, and she looked a little sickly because of it, but of course she was in perfect health.
"Yes and no," she responded, actually grinning for once, "it is meant to bring people together, yes, but I'm afraid if you came here for a leisurely chat you are in for a surprise," she chuckled a bit, and once again stole a glance around the area, "it seems quite a few people have shown up," she mused, seeming pleased as she softly spoke these words.
"I assume you all have many questions, but, they will be answered shortly, hopefully," with this, she again took a moment to glanced towards Fawn, contemplating calling out to the other guild master, though decided against it, "I believe we'll wait just a little longer before beginning, who knows, maybe others will show up," she finally stated, and upon glancing around her green eyes caught sight of a person lingering along the outskirts of the clearing. He wasn't easily spot-able, but she had picked him up nonetheless, and a hand rose to her face, bumping the aviator shades down briefly to ensure herself that she was not seeing things.
I suppose someone is shy, she mused to herself, thinking Chris to be a Fairy Tail mage as she flashed a brief smile before replacing the shades, "ahh, I'm so excited to do this, I hope you all have fun," she said, sounding somewhat more modest than usual, "but, mostly I hope you take something away from this... Good memories and important lessons," the teen smiled and nodded firmly, "as soon as Fawn is ready, we will begin."

Joker chuckled at Kasumi, rubbing the back of his head a little bit before flipping backward. "What fun is there in doing whats expected!" He hummed, before standing around, waiting for the others to talk about things. There was a lot of interesting people here, he knew this, but why, that was not too clear.
"Though, its night to meet you Kasumi!" Joker added, before looking over at Tsubasa when she offered a concert, before looking at the one called Fawn. He chuckled and stretched a bit, before moving behind Tsubasa. "I wonder if we are going to have a time for a little concert, due to us having no idea whats about to happen." He hummed, before moving around the group in three long hops.
So many new people, so many interesting things, so many zany chances for chaos. But... for now he would keep himself nice. "Look at that, a womanizer of sorts!" He added jokingly, looking at Triston.

Post by Durriken Petulengro on Mar 30, 2012 2:44:21 GMT -5
Durriken walked barefoot through the underbrush of the forest following the lighted path. He had no real training being in or around the forest so he was by no means quiet but he was quieter than an equally unskilled person in normal shoes. His feet felt no pain even as they stomped on small thorns and sharp twigs since his feet were long since toughened to such things.
Over his shoulder had had a simple burlap rucksack with a twin cord keeping the one end shut. It was what he used to carry most of this stuff around in the circus when they moved, which was often. Within was a change of clothes and other items he may need. Today his vest was a dark forest green on a shiny silk like fabric. Around the neck and shoulders some simple fake gems were sown into it to give something for light to spark with. His pants were black with a silver cord keeping them on at his waste and ankles.
Once he found his way to the clearing, he smiled at Riley as he put the hand not holding his back behind his head and rubbed his scalp in embarrassment.
“Did I miss the dress code memo?” he said referring to the cammo his guild master was wearing.

When Fawn spoke, Kasumi jumped backwards in surpass and shrieked a little, completely taken by surprise due to the fact she didn't even notice that the girl was there at first. She blushed a little in embarrassment afterwards and began to look at all the people who came to the event.
There were so many people, most of them she hadn't ever met before. This was Kasumi's first time ever being to an event like this and she took it in her stride, excited for the fun times ahead and the possibility to find and do new things.
"Hey everyone! Kasumi Ito of Griffin Wing Guild, nice to meet you all!" She shouted loudly to the congregation, not really wanting to have to introduce herself individually to all of them. She gave a radiant smile as she approached the little girl and the blue girl, interested in getting to know them.
"Are you both from Fairy Tail? That's cool~. I've never been outside of Onibas before and I really want to get to know the world. What is it like in your home? And I heard something about a concert. Do you sing? I've never been to a concert before?" Kasumi said joyfully to the two of them, still smiling at them even though she just barraged them with a bunch of questions. She was just excited, she couldn't help it.

Fawn smiled as she saw some of her guild members walk over towards her, She had really started to enjoy how she had grown socially since joining the Guild, it made her wish she could have joined this guild sooner. It had became her home, and she was happy that Miss Riley was helping her so much and that they were now doing Inter-guild festivities, It was the first time she'd really heard of this.
She turned to Tsubasa and giggled at her offer, "As much as I would love that, You would be best saving that for the end of this trip. In fact I will talk to Riley about it tonight. I think everyone would hearing your singing."
It was just then that a cute Griffin Wing Mage started talking to the both of them, introducing herself as Kasumi. "You are so very chipper! I like that, Maybe you could come and hang out at our Guild some time! I'd be happy to give you a tour, but please excuse me, I need to go to Riley." She smiled and walked over to her partner in crime fellow guild master, "I think it is time to announce the event."

Tsubasa thought to herself, she was glad to join this guild, even though she still worried every day what might have happened if it was her, that died insted of Kanade, what would Kanade have done? Surely she would not even dream of doing what Tsubasa was right now. Although with Kanade you never knew what she was thinking, even when she said she was very happy, Tsubasa still never knew her to the letter, she wished she could've spent more time with Kanade, but no dwelling on the past she thought turning to Fawn.
Tsubasa nodded at Fawn, and smiled slightly. "Sure that's fine, I'm sure Kanade and Chris would have enjoyed it.." Tsubasa sighed, and saw a girl who appered to be from Griffin Wing, introducing herself as Kasumi. Tsubasa nodded at the young girl, and smiled slightly at her. "Nice to meet you Kasumi, I'm Tsubasa Kazanari from Fairy Tail." Tsubasa said casually.
Tsubasa nodded at Fawn. "Let's get this thing started!" Tsubasa smiled

"Ahh, Durriken, I'm glad you could make it," the young woman smiled upon her guild mate, watching him through the tinted glasses, she chuckled a bit, amused at everyone's reaction to her choice in attire, "no, there was memo, and there isn't a dress code, this just seemed appropriate somehow," she concluded, laughing once more as she crossed her arms over her chest.
With this, Fawn soon approached her, seeming to want to get things rolling, which caused Riley to smile all the wider. "Excellent!" She stated, clapping her hands together as though to draw everyone's attention towards them -if it wasn't already upon the two strangely dressed guild masters.
"Alrighty, for those of you that do not know, this is Fawn Nidawi, guild mistress of Fairy Tail and I am Riley Aquila, guild mistress of Griffin Wing," she gave a brief bow as she introduced herself, still practically smiling from ear to ear, "on behalf of both of us, I would like to welcome you to our first official guild event, which will be a competition of sorts," she licked her lips a bit as she began to pace, "but, unlike you might expect, it will not be one guild against the other," her emerald eyes danced, searching the faces of those around her, "Fawn and I will pair you off in teams of two, preferably with a person for each guild on a team," she took a moment to count the heads, and gave a bit of a sheepish smirk.
"For the time being it seems we have an odd number, so I will not be competing for points in these events, but I will... Make it a little more difficult for all of you," she chuckled.
"Ah, everyone follow me for a moment~" She suddenly chimed, jogging towards some of the crates to the side, she gave the lid of the largest a few taps with her foot, offsetting it slightly before leaning over and straining just a bit to give it a toss aside to expose... Guns of some sort?!
"Our first event, will be what we like to call 'Magical Paintball,' to put it quite simply," she leaned in towards an ammunition cartridge, popping out a few of the colored balls as to show them, "each of these are filled with a bit of Fawn's magic, so if you get hit with one, you and your clothing will change color entirely, and you are disqualified from the match." She tossed one up and down in her palm, "but, your partner may continue, and of course the aim of the game is to not only survive, you will earn a point for each person that you hit, and the last person, or persons if they are on the same team, to 'survive' will earn additional points for their team," she gestured towards the paintball guns, which were in various sizes as obviously some of the mages were not as big as others, "and, because this is magical paintball, the use of magic is allowed, as long as you don't hurt one another, that is."
She continued to toss a few paintballs back and forth between her hands, somewhat idly as she smiled, "perhaps this sounds silly for how secretive we've kept it, but it's meant for good fun, and to get everyone thinking creatively about how they use their magic, creating team spirit, and so on and so forth. Anyways, I'll allow for Fawn to choose the teams and fill in any details I have missed," with this, the teen ambled away a little ways, smiling happily to herself.
