Caught up to Durri and Riley fairly easily and fast like as he answered the question poised to him, "My parents traveled a lot...but I don't know honestly.....", a moment of his personal insecurity showed on his visage as a subtle look of anguish was adopted. He followed Riley up into the cart first and then extended his left hand down to help up Durri.
Upon Durri taking his hand or not he would head to the back and sit with his back slumped and his hands in a triangle position, himself unusually quiet and withdrawn as he thought about his parents, trying to remember their faces, or even what their general look was like. Was he truly that sad of a being that he could not even remember his parents visage? Not even their voices, or their presence could be felt from long dead memories.
He would draw the fur hood, attached to his armor, over his face, clearly not one to talk at the moment, as the aura being produced from him was off putting to say the least.

Durriken took Vi’s hand to get into the card and took a seat across from Riley. He frowned though when Vi went to the corner and sulked for the trip. Out of reflex he reached for the silver cross around his neck and rubbed it between his fingers. It was an old charm for his family, it was believed to keep away evil.
“Do you happen to know about the town we are going to Riley?” he asked as the cart jostled back and forth as they rode.

Riley remained quiet as she watched both of the young men clamber into the cart, Vayate retreating to the back of the cart and Durriken choosing to sit across from her. She watched Vayate for a moment, whom seemed to be rather down all of a sudden, and contemplated making some sort of comment on this, or at least saying something that could perhaps ease what was bothering him - which seemed to be thoughts of the parents that he was forgetting - but Durri soon spoke up, distracting her.
She cleared her throat a bit, nodding her head softly, "well, we're going to be heading East to Harujion, it's a port town with a lot of unfriendly people, and it's somewhat dangerous, but, the real challenge is getting there, I suppose," she mused, licking her lips softly as she slowly crossed her arms over her chest, "I assume you've done a lot of traveling in the circus, so you probably know that we'll have to dodge around some mountains, and a river, where bandits and the like prefer to hang around and pick off anything or anyone that passes through. At one point the path gets particularly narrow, but, this is the fastest and easiest route to travel, otherwise," she concluded, giving her head a soft nod, she glanced out the back of the cart, then up at the canopy that was shielding them from the sun.
"It will be a bit of a long trip," she said, after a few moments, "but it wont be so bad with good company," the dark haired teen gaze a firm nod and a gentle smile, allowing herself to lean back into the side of the cart more so.

Soon looked towards Riley as he spoke softly and fluidly, "Riley Aquila....Your last name, why does it ring a bell?", his deep forest green eyes flashed brilliantly for a moment as he asked the question, his face appearing curious. He himself could have sworn he had heard that name before when he was but a child. His body had relaxed and he appeared as if everything was fine once more, or rather if nothing had happened at all. His hands now were neatly folded in his lap as his right ankle came to rest on his left knee and he leaned back lazily against the wall. His gaze ever lingering on Riley. Vayate's Parents were Dark Mage hunters and well known Mage Mercs, So of course the last name Aquila would bring back some base memories. Sorry for not posting yesterday, had some home trouble ^^.

Durriken pulled the cards from his belt and shuffled through them quickly before shuffling them absentmindedly to keep his hands busy. From the back of the cards though it was clear that five cards were different from the rest they had different patterns and colored while the other 47 were black and white with Celtic knots on the back.
“If you want Riley I can get some info on any of the cities we may need to travel through, it won’t be much though, I only learned the spell for histories since the past is much easier then the future, working on better information gathering spells as we speak though.”
His hands continued to shuffle doing some decently complex moves without even thinking about it, it got to a point where he could do this without thinking he did it so often. He could do some trick shuffling as well but in a moving cart with an open back made it so that probably wasn’t wise.

"Well, my name has become a bit famous lately, it's not surprising that you would have heard it before," she mused for a moment, raising a hand to lightly rub at the side of her face, she turned her green eyes to Durri as he spoke up, "oh, you can do that?" She asked, seeming intrigued, "anything you can find out about the cities ahead would be good, or even the route itself, I know it's a bit dangerous..." She mused, a thought suddenly striking her, as she spoke the word 'dangerous' and her mind returned to the previous topic, which clearly gaze her pause.
"Sorry to side track myself, but there is a very good reason why you might recognize my last name, instead of my full name," she announced, pondering a moment as to whether or not she should say more, but in the end she supposed there was really nothing to hide - and she'd personally rather her guild members learn about her from herself, rather than someone else whom might make things up as they went. "The Aquila name is somewhat infamous in certain parts of Fiore, and amongst certain circles," she began to say, crossing her arms lightly over her chest as she leaned herself back into the cart, "you see, for generation after generation, they were assassins, and not just any run of the mill assassin's, they were some of the best. If an Aquila was hired to come after you, then you crossed someone with a lot of wealth, power and influence," she cleared her throat a bit, closing her eyes for a moment, "they were the back bone of a certain assassin's guild, which no longer exists, or so I am told."
Her eyes reopened, and she rolled her shoulders a bit, "but I suppose that just raises more questions than actually answering much, hm?" She exhaled a bit, licking her lips softly, "so, yes, I was raised in an assassin's guild, I was trained to be an assassin, and I've forgotten more of poisons than most people will ever know. I was trained hard, in my... parents, if you can call them that... hopes of turning me into a Femme Fatale, my brother being something of a prodigy in the art of killing, they hoped I would follow in his footsteps..." She sighed once more, shaking her head softly, "despite my obvious lacking of physical strength, I do have knowledge of fighting in close quarters, and I do know multiple ways of killing a person without drawing blood or even raising suspicions, but no, I have never killed anyone, and with any luck there will not come a day when I will have to," she frowned a bit as she spoke, seeming a bit distracted.
"Needless to say, besides the physical training, I severely failed at being an assassin," finally, she unfolded her arms, resting her hands limply in her lap, "so, in short, my name likely rings familiar because the entirety of my family aside me, and perhaps my older brother who expresses interest in wanting to give up his old ways, have been merciless, blood thirsty killers that lusted for money and power..."
"Any questions?" She asked, after a few moments of silence on her part.

His eyes flashed a brilliant green for a moment at the explanation as it hit him...His parents had spoken quite frequently of The Aquila's once they thought Vi was asleep. Talks of anger and retribution, and talks of murdered family members. The Aquila's being their biggest adversary's. This then made him curious, and slightly joyed as a Madorche and an Aquila were becoming friends? Madness! But Vayate would never be rude to her, or even hate her as for some reason he found himself enthralled by her.
His mind wandered for what seemed like ever to himself and then finally he spoke towards her, "Do you know of the names, Kurt and Ellen Madorche?", His parents names were famous but that was not the point he was trying to make, he was trying to see if she knew of their prior connection, or if it was only his own parents that despised the other set so.
Perhaps if she did connect the dots like he himself had just done, She would realize as well, and some interesting conversation would happen on this trip.

(OOC: Its harder then I thought to stretch "Do Nothing" into a post)
urriken leaned his head back against the wood of the cart and let the other two talk. He didn’t know much about the topic that they were talking about. There were a few people at the circus that were hiding from assassins but their fear didn’t let them admit more than that. Most of those people were clowns or worked behind the scenes since otherwise, people might notice who they were and bring the assassins down upon them. The aura of the circus could keep away some of the lesser ones away because of the fear of repercussions but it sounds like the assassins Vi and Riley were talking about well above being deterred by a group of circus folk.
As he sat he turned his head and watched the scenery wonder past at a leisurely pace.

Riley watched the two males carefully after she had spoken, her own bright eyes wandering as she waited for one of them to say something, anything. Were they now uncomfortable around her because of what had happened in her past? Did they think she was two-faced like the government did? She frowned a bit at the thought, raising a hand to rub gingerly at the side of her neck.
Vayate broke the silence though, asking if she recalled hearing of two people. She paused a moments, the names sound familiar. Her hand went to her face, and she tapped lightly at her lips as she mauled over where she had heard these names before.
It struck her, of course, that they had the last name as Vayate, and she glanced towards him as she remembered why exactly these names were so familiar. "I know of the Madorche's. Dark mage hunters, if I recall. My parents weren't mages, but many clients were interested in them. If I'm not mistaken more than a few of them were killed by my family, or the guild, and as for Kurt and Ellen... I believe I met them once, a very long time ago."
She licked her lips softly, her hands again in her lap, "my parents often took me along on their hunts, hoping I would acquire a taste for blood, but I was always a hindrance, quite literally. They would lose sight of me for an instance, and I would disappear to search for whomever they were searching for, in hopes of warning them. I didn't often make it in time, but I believe I recall briefly having interacted with the two of them, but... I was very young at the time, so I could be mistaken," she sighed a little heavily, sounding burdened by her thoughts.
As the cart moved, the scenery began to change slightly, a few houses and farms appearing here and there, they were clearly getting close to some sort of settlement. As it on cue, the driver of the cart called back to them, "we're arriving at Kunugi, we'll be making a quick stop here. When we leave, we will be traveling in an area where bandits are particularly thick."
Riley, as though eager to be rid of the heavy atmosphere around her, rose slightly, just enough to get to her feet and in a crouch make her way to the back of the wagon, near Durri, to peer out as well.
"Ah, I was here before," she commented, "killed a giant, demonic chicken-dragon-thing that was turning people to stone," she announced, to no one in particular. She then looked to Durriken, "care to try out that magic of yours?" She wondered, briefly casting a glance back to Vayate.

Durriken nodded as he looked down as he began to glow slightly. His deck of cards rose from this belt and began to shuffle themselves in mid air.
“High Priestess guardian of the secrets and all they entails, pull back your drape for me and show me a glimpse of what is not known. Show us the history of a town that we do not know to aid us in this trip. Tarot Art: Divine Minor History”
At the end of his incantation a large purple circle appeared in the cart as Durriken’s eyes zoned out as if staring at something far off in the distance. The cards then stopped shuffling and ten cards emerged taking the shape of a Celtic cross. It had two cards crossed in the middle, a card above, below, before and after this middle cross and lastly there were four cards in a column to the far right for Durriken’s point of view.
Once the cards went into place the spell circle dimmed to a barely visible flicker within the cart. It remained because the spell was not yet finished and would not be finished until the last card was flipped. His energy was in limbo as was the spell and he would lose the small amount of energy now once it was finished.
“Don’t worry Riley” he said remembering how he almost passed out last time. “I didn’t leave the spell as open ended so it won’t drain me like last time.”

Riley watched in silence as Durriken cast his spell, once more summoning forth his peculiar cards and using them to siphon the information that he wanted. She remained still and quiet, her bright green eyes shifting from his spaced out expression to the cards that had appeared before Durriken. She found his magic to be an interesting one, though much of it was shrouded in mystery to her it still intrigued her.
She nodded her head, giving a soft smile as he exclaimed that the spell would not drain him as it had done before, "good, we don't need you passing out on us," she said, glancing outside the cart once more, as it had stopped and the merchants went about preparing what needed to be prepared in order for them to continue on their journey. They were rushing about, clearly in a hurry, and clearly eager to get going to larger centers, where they would be able to more easily sell their wares.
She was silent once more, but she appeared particularly thoughtful, as though she were mauling something over in her mind. Lightly, she folded her hands in her lap, casting a glance to Durriken once more as she did so, "when you've finished, tell me, there's something I'd like to discuss with you," she suddenly announced, thinking it best not to bring something up out of the blue that might break his concentration.

With quick but steady progression he flipped each card and stared at it. His eyes would dart from card to card as he flipped each one and then dart to the ones before it. He would nod at times and mutter words under his breath talking it through to himself. Each card would represent ten or more things but when you have this many cards they tended to all focus in on one or two concepts.
One the last card was flipped there was a sudden loss of magical energy and Durriken paled by a small amount. He wasn’t near out of energy but it felt like he ran up a few too many flights of stairs.
“The most I could figure out is that in some village at the base of two mountains there is a large tribe of thieves and bandits that basically run the town. Not sure but that probably means they will try and toll us or steal from us. Might be best to handle it quietly but we will see once we get there.”
When he was finishing up he could hear the cart begin to move once again. As he stared at the moving seneary he bit his bottom lip wondering if he should bring it up. He was unsure if it was needed or if he could spare the energy for another spell so early into their trip.
“Is what you need to tell me secretive? I got something else that is useful to prevent eavesdroppers but I don’t want to be too tired later and be ineffective.”
He was figuring what they were in would count as a room. It had walls and technically a door that shut.

Riley watched with her usual interest as Durriken proceeded to flip and decipher his cards. She had to hand it to him, he seemed to be able to read them pretty easily, and that likely meant he had dedicated a lot of time to learning what each individual card meant, not to mention the vast combinations that the cards could appear in. She was not certain she would be able to do the same, but it was certainly an interesting thing to watch - made much more interesting as it was an unusual magic, no doubt.
Her green eyes occasionally flicked towards Durri himself, easily recalling how he had over exerted himself the last time she had observed him using his magic. Indeed, he seemed a bit pale, but he soon began to speak, announcing that thieves and bandits likely lay on the path before them, between the mountains where an ambush was easy, and there was likely only a single route to travel. "That's not surprising," she nodded, seeming to agree with the cards, "the merchants did say that this was a dangerous route... Though, if this could have been solved peacefully, we likely wouldn't be here," she pointed out, slowly taking note that the carriage had started to move once more, "at any rate, bandits and thieves robbing people blind for the sake of retaining peace doesn't sit entirely well with me," the dark haired teen commented, as she slowly allowed herself to sit on the edge of the cart, so that her legs were dangling above the ground.
"Ah, no, it's not a secret, I just didn't want to disturb you," she assured, kicking her legs a little gently as she turned her head slightly to peer at Durriken for a moment. her gaze shifted back to the road, and the town that was slowly growing further and further away.
"I haven't brought it up, but I recently got into something of a fight with another mage back in Onibas, not the first time that has happened, but he was significantly stronger than your run of the mill mage. I was injured, not badly, but it reminded me that I'm nearly as invincible as I would like to believe..." She cleared her throat a little awkwardly, licking her lips softly as she continued to stare at the dirt road, "I was just thinking about how I've gotten to know you, how I've come to trust and rely on you, and I think it only fitting that I make you my assistant guild master. I think you would take good care of the guild and it's members when I am away, even if I'm just temporarily out of the building and something were to happen," she rambled, raising a hand to rub lightly at her cheek, she slowly turned her attention to Durriken, her green eyes curious as she arched a slow brow, "so, what do you say, Durriken, would you like to be my right hand?"

When Durriken found out it wasn’t a secret he let out a small sigh of relief. After the reading he was starting to get worried about not being at his best when he was needed. Given his limited combat capabilities he would have to be near his best to be useful with his sword or to give Riley the edge needed to defeat the enemy.
Durriken blinked a few moments surprised at her words. He knew that she was as mortal as anyone else was since that was one of the greatest taboo’s of magic, one should never try and evade death. Death came for every person in their time. At the same time he made a mental note to write a letter to his mother and see if she can track down the card of healing for him. He knew it was in the suit of cups but she would know better which card exactly it was and how to find it.
“I would be honored Mistress Riley” he said slipping with the honorific because of how humbled he felt by being chosen as her right hand. “Griffon Wing has become a second home to me and I will protect them as my family if you are ever unable.”
At his current level he wasn’t sure how much he could do if it ever came down to it but he would do is best and lay down his life if he had to to protect the guild. With each card he obtained he grew in strength but he had yet to find anything really offensive or a major arcane card if they even still existed. He hoped they did because the magic required to forge a new portal between the Tarot World and the real world through the tarot card were lost well before the gypsies were even a people.

Riley smiled in relief as he agreed to be her co-guild master, at the same time feeling relief in knowing that, were something to happen to her as it had Eve, or if she were for some reason absent when the guild was in trouble, that there would be someone else whom could get the guild to come together as one and overcome whatever obstacles may lie ahead of them.
"I'm glad to hear that," she assured, giving a smile as her hands rested in her lap, "both that you feel at home and that you would protect it, as I figured you would," she grinned a bit to herself, allowing her feet to kick a little more vigorously, but this was still very much an absent minded action.
She felt a bit nostalgic all of a sudden, as the caravan continued to move forth, she began to speak of the the not so distant past, "when I first became guild master, I was actually very weak. I never used my magic much, so it had practically gone to waste and I couldn't really use it creatively in battle, but... I still had the strongest magic, and when everyone began to look to me for guidance and protection it drove me to work harder. Without Griffin Wing, I never would have gotten this strong on my own, because I never felt a desire to protect myself like I do others..." She exhaled a bit, closing her eyes for a moment, "but, I'm afraid I've rambled," she licked her lips a bit, and jumped down from the edge of the cart - which did not progress much further, as there was a sudden commotion ahead. As the cards had predicted, there was a settlement of bandits and thieves nestled between two mountains, and they had simply walked right into their hands.
While the merchants seemed distressed, Riley was perfectly calm as she turned to Durriken, giving a bit of a bow and gesture for him to get out of the cart as well, "now, let's dispatch of these bandits as Guild Mistress and Assistant Guild Master of Griffin Wing," with this, she moved around the cart a little more, eyes dancing to observe the blockade of bandits that blocked their path, demanding payment, while others no doubt lay in wait out of sight, hidden behind trees and waiting to lurch, should it be needed or desired.
Riley asked the merchants to stay in their carts as she progressed forwards, her black hair dancing a little in the breeze as she came to stand a few mere feet from the line of bandits, "step aside, we don't want any trouble," she asked, her voice sounding more firm than usual as she brought her left hand to rest on her hip.
"Then hand over the goods," one of them growled, eying her warily.
"That is not an option," she shook her head softly, "you have until the count of three to step aside." She announced, her green eyes darting from bandit to bandit, whom seemed amused, if not annoyed by her words - as she wasn't exactly all that threatening looking.
"One." She said, her free hand raising, a single digit extended, "two," she went on, and a second finger joined the first. There was a pause, and finally her third finger stood out, "three... I'm afraid you're out of time," Riley announced, and the very earth began to quake and rattle, though the teen easily stood on this shaking ground, clearly accustomed to it - though the bandits clearly were not, as many toppled and fell over.
As some stood their ground, or got up once more in order to fight, lava began to spew from the ground, various geysers, always away from the merchant carts for obvious reasons, but very effective in scattering bandits and generally causing chaos in their ranks.
Riley let out a bit of a sigh, shaking her head as she waved a hand, a tidal wave of lava bursting forth in a path before her, splashing after bandits and preventing them from advancing. She turned towards Durriken for a moment, "I'm not trying to show off or anything, my magic is just a tad flashy in nature... But, to be honest, this is the weaker of my magics..."
