Durriken followed Riley and listened to her lay down her ultimatum. He shook his head when they didn’t listen but when he saw them scatter at the lava he knew it was him time. He pulled out his Seven of Swords as it began to glow and his purple magical circle appeared below his feet.
He looked down taking a deep breath focusing his thoughts. He always did this before he went out and this was basically the same with what he was about to do.
“Show time.” He said with a wink toward Riley as he ran toward the scattering men.
He gave a short hop slightly above normal heights which went into a forward flip. When his feet landed he pushed up with all his might and tucked into a tight ball. This caused his rotational momentum to be magnified tremendously. At the last second he came out of it with both feet planted firmly on the man’s sternum. He heard a slight cracking sound as he landed and more of one when he pushed off from the tipping over man since the force that lifted him to fifteen feet also got put into the ground or in this case the man beneath him.
The man was left groaning in pain through forced breath since if the man was lucky a lung wasn’t punctured, if he was unlucky a lung was probably punctured from his broken sternum. Either way the man’s lung had less room to expand so he had trouble breathing.
He then flew through the air between two pillars of lava which he wasn’t scared of. He knew Riley wouldn’t hurt him willingly so as long as she kept in control of her own lava he was safe.
After breaking another bandit’s clavicle from a fifteen foot drop kick into the shoulder he saw one getting a bit too close toward where Riley was working. He wasn’t sure if Riley saw him yet but he knew that caster mages were most vulnerable while in the middle of a spell.
He pulled out his Ace of Wand as his feet stopped glowing. He turned and began to run toward the bandit. He was fairly faster since he wasn’t weighed down as much and wasn’t afraid of the lava.
“Oh no you don’t! Ace of Wands grant me your boon!”
With a bright flash of purple light a wooden staff appeared in his hand which he quickly stuck into a passing area of lava which set the staff a light at the tip. He then swung the flaming staff right at the man’s face setting his hair alight which made him stop and run in a random direction trying to put his hair out.

Riley eyed her surroundings, particularly the merchants and Durri, with caution as she allowed her lava to flow, as it were. It seeped from the earth, sometimes in waves or as pillars, geysers of molten lava that was capable of melting just about anything. They followed her will, chasing away opponents or even partially encasing them in cooled, hardened lava (as she was not particularly fond of melting people). Though she glanced about, mostly to note the positions of the various people she was watching, she had to say she was impressed to see that Durri was once again using his unique magics to make the best out of a dangerous situation. She noted how lithe and agile he was, and thought that perhaps his training was not that much unlike her own - though he definitely had more physical strength to work with than she did. As well as skill with weapons that she sorely lacked (but had yet to actually need). She preoccupied with these thoughts as she continued her magic, her hands gesturing as she occasionally uttered words to herself. Before long someone had tried to sneak up on her from behind - though Durriken took care of the bandit for her. Riley turned her head slightly towards him, smiling, "thanks," she said, noting his now flaming staff, she smirked a little, the tips of her fingers glowing a brilliant white, that was a tad hard to see in the day light. From her fingertips, threads of light began to spread and make their way forwards, snaking through the air. With a flick of her wrists, they lashed about like many whips, slashing and slapping at bandits, knocking them backwards, down, or out of consciousness entirely. "Let's clue this up, shall we?" She asked, looking to Durri, the threads steaming from her fingers glimmering ever so slightly against the light of the day. Spell Name: Stellar String Type: Heavenly Body Magic Level: Mediocre Range: 20 feet Description: Generating star based energy, she summons forth 'invisible' threads of light that stems from her fingers, which she lashes out with. These threads are thin, and may appear harmless, but they are in fact razor sharp, capable of cutting through skin and clothing. Drawback: Completely visible during night time/in the dark (similar to stars themselves). During the day they can faintly be seen, the sunnier the day the harder it is to spot them.

Durriken saw something glistening slightly in the light of day so he pulled out his meter sunglasses. His eyes widened and he fell flat on his back to dodge a sword coming well too close to his head. A bit of his brown locks fell onto his face cut which made him frown. He didn’t even feel the small bit of blood from the thin slice on his forehead.
“I just got my hair how I liked it” he said as his feet glowed brightly.
The man only had time to curse when he noticed the card in Durriken’s hand and then got sent fifteen feet into the air in an arc easily vulnerable to Riley’s heavenly body magic. He flinched though as the ground cracked a bit beneath him from the inertia. Mostly likely he would have a large bruise on his upper back the next day.
Durriken was starting to like the Seven of Swords more and more. At first he thought it would only be useful for moving about but then he realized a lot of energy needs to be used to lift him to such heights and that energy can be directed in many different ways.
The immediate threat dealt with he put the meter sunglasses on and clicked the button as the thin strands that Riley controlled lit up more clearly against the bright sunlight. Jumping to his feet he ran toward the remaining bandits
He used his Seven of Swords to flip and dodge around the stands to avoid the damage he saw them do the bandits. With a few well placed super powered kicked he took out the last few bandits.
Once the adraline from the fight wore off though he flinched as he tried to walk. His legs were really sore, nothing was broken but they were feeling the strain of unplanned usage of his Seven of Swords.
“Looks like this was only planned to help me jump…owe.”

Jumped out of the back of the cart at the sound of the commotion, having fell asleep at some point during the ride. As soon as he landed he took notice and pointed his hands palm first to the ground as he bent his elbows saying, "Let fly the winds of change! Sagitta Magica!", As soon as he spoke, a glowing green aura slightly appeared, and a spell circle at his feet, and within moments six green arrows appeared around him.
He would speak to Riley as he said, "Direct me.", Each of his arrows had a bit of power behind them and he was prepared to strike wherever he was needed too. An obvious look of pure hatred in his eyes. A secondary spell was then being casted as well as the spell circle and green aura appeared on and under him.
He wasn't surprised that bandits had attacked him, only that he had fallen asleep on his first guild mission, which to him meant he had brought shame to himself. But hopefully he would soon dispel that and gain forgiveness for being too lax.

Riley more or less stood out of the way, her threads still snaking through the air, seeming to sway with the slightest movement of her body as she watched Durriken dispatch of the remaining bandits. She wasn't being lazy, of course, she just knew full well that it would not do her guild members any good for her to simply swoop in and defeat all their enemies all the time. If she thought there was something that he could not handle, she'd have stepped in, of course, but Durriken was more than capable of handling the enemy before them.
She smiled a little to herself as the situation drew to a close, with Durri more or less uninjured and the path cleared. The thread of light attached to her fingers simply dissipated, vanishing into thin air as she eyed the trail before them, which was somewhat ravaged by her magma magic. A coy smile crossed her lips, but with the wave of a hand the road was mended - by hardened lava, no less, which acted much like pavement.
She startled a little at the sound of Vayate's voice, turning to face him, she blinked a little, slowly, before releasing a soft chuckle, "good morning," she playfully teased, easily noting how eager he was to do battle and hold his own.
"Well, the fight here appears to be over, but in all likelihood there are more bandits nearby, perhaps looking out, waiting to strike... At any rate, if you see any, take care to make sure they will think twice before attacking any more merchants," she mused, watching as Durri was having a bit of trouble walking, due to the over use of his magic. She easily made her way over to him, gently taking his arm in her own as she began to guide them both back towards the carriage they had been riding in.
"Perhaps it was only meant for jumping, but with practice you can turn it into something more dynamic," she assured, "I know it hurts, but the pain just means you're making progress," Riley gave a firm nod of her head, easily recalling how frequently she would push herself to exhaustion when she had been forcing herself to learn Heavenly Body Magic, her efforts, of course, had paid of greatly in the end.
Her attention flickered towards Vayate, and she used her free hand to rake her fingers through her black hair, "try to be more cautious in the future, though I don't mean to scold or nag, but there are many things out here more powerful than a group of bandits..."
